Yvonne's studio is located in the Telephone Factory Lofts near Two Urban Licks, and she has a parking code for clients. I asked about eyebrow tinting and had scheduled enough time for this. I have been truly heartbroken and damaged over the years by ladies who claimed they could do eyebrows, but really can't (liars). Definitely worthy of 5 stars! Following the plethora of other positive Yelp reviews, I, too, must confess that Yvonne is an eyebrow genius! I have been on a quest for much of my adult life to find someone who can properly wax my eyebrows. Most people that I've been to in the past totally disregarded my wishes and did what they wanted to do (or all they knew how to do), that is, stripping me of my months of growth and leaving me with two unshapely lines drawn across my forehead. I'd leave each time in tears and then have to endure six more months of looking like a werewolf before going through the process all again. Well now I've found Yvonne I can finally break the cycle! I found VP Brows through Yelp. Thanks Yelpers for all your positive reviews! I work in Midtown so I decided to walk there. I wasn't sure whether there would be parking (there is, behind the building). I should have read the prior reviews more carefully. When I arrived, I knew that I had the correct address, but it didn't look like a business. It was a house, divided up into several businesses. I entered from the front. VP Brows in the back on the right. I knocked on the door and was invited to enter. I opened the door and was welcomed into this small room with a very zen, spa-like, hippy vibe. It was very relaxing. Yvonne introduced herself and welcomed me. I laid down on the table and she immediately began to work her magic. She asked me if I knew what shape my face was (guess I didn't) and then went on to explain what brow shape looks best for my face. She then drew out marks of where my brows should line up and showed me the mirror walking me through the entire process. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease and confident that I was in good hands. On a personal note, Yvonne is very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with her and left there feeling like I'd made a new friend. At the end of my session, she handed me the mirror. She had definitely worked her magic. I entered with sparse unruly strands of hair growing out of my forehead and left with actual eyebrows. Wow, I actually have eyebrows! I am completely impressed with her artistry. Then came time to pay. I never enjoy paying that much for brows, not when I know that there are people out there charging $6-$8 to do them. But, I've learned through the years that you get what you pay for...actually, I retract that statement. Yvonne knows what she's doing! I came in with extremely overgrown brows (about 1.5 months) after moving to Atlanta from out of state. She gave me a mirror and started by explaining my face shape, where my brows should be, and how she would shape them. After she threaded them, she did a quick massage and filled them in with a bit of brow powder. I've always had to ask my brow techs to leave my brows as thick as possible, but I didn't have to worry about that with Yvonne. I have been searching for someone great to do my brows for years and thank goodness I finally found Yvonne at VP Brows! She is just the best! After years of over waxed/plucked brows when I was younger, she has gotten me on the right path to growing them out and having them look great while they are in the process.
