My car window got bashed in and I needed a window ASAP. These guys were mobile and came by the next day only to tell me that it would have to be replaced at the shop since I would also be needing a new regulator. No problem. I call the shop throughout several days and the manager, Lino, assured me, on 2 seperate days even, that the part would be there by the end of day, and he would call me back. It's been 5 days now and I've called them over 10 times now on the status of the part, but either they're understaffed or dodging all my calls and texts. If I would have known that this is how they operated I would have choose a different window repair shop from the start. I have been driving around for a week with a missing window, and now it's raining. Save yourself a headache and go with a shop that has customer service. read more

I first encountered Select Auto Glass in Nov 2019. It is then I arranged for a replacement of a cracked 2015 Prius front windshield. A technician as Select Auto Glass met my wife at work, and replaced windshield. All seemed well, they're were no issues. I left a very glowing review. *update* In April 2022, my windshield again cracked. I knew I needed to fix it pass an upcoming inspection. I subsequently created a "conversation" on Yelp, received a response from Select Auto Glass. After converting to text messages, a date was set for 04/20/2022 for windshield replacement. I couldn't be present, had to be work. Instead, the car would be home with my wife and her parents. On 04/20/2022, the Select Auto Glass technician arrived and replaced the windshield. Unfortunately, in the course of replacing the windshield, the technician created a rather large crack in the new windshield. The crack was large enough to require fixing, or another windshield replacement. He discussed this with my mother-in-law, and in good faith, my mother-in-law agreed to return on Monday 04/25/2022 to "repair" the cracked new glass. My mother-in-law handed him a check for $289.00. When I arrived home on 04/20/2022, I was surprised to discover the cracked *new* windshield, as I hadn't spoken with my mother-in-law. Unfortunately, I was more surprised to discover all the inspection/registration and toll-tag stickers were gone. They weren't in the glove-box, weren't anywhere to be found. The was not drivable. I called Select Auto Glass, who promised to return that evening to provide stickers. They informed they left the stickers on the replaced windshield, which they took to dispose. Within several hours, the technician did return to our home, and provided the missing inspection/registration and toll-tag stickers. It was again emphasized he *would* return Monday to replace new windshield that he cracked. I thanked him sincerely for returning. Monday 04/25/2022 arrived. The weather was typical for April, there was an on-and-off rain. That morning I called Select Auto Glass to confirm the windshield placement. I was told they would try to stop by and replace the faulty windshield, as they previously promised. Unfortunately, they didn't arrive. On Tuesday 04/26/2022, I woke early and reviewed the forecast. It suggested a chance of rain, with highest probability early in the morning. Finally off work, I called Select Auto Glass, and offered to bring the car myself to their shop, where, presumably, there would be protection from the weather. I was trying to ensure the windshield would be fixed. They told me there was NO need to come to the shop, that they still planned on stopping by the house and replacing the faulty windshield. We ended the call on good terms. Unfortunately, they didn't arrive. Today, Wednesday 04/27/2022, I again called Select Auto Glass first thing in the morning. I pleasantly reminded them that I'm still anticipating their arrival, gently tried to confirm a time of arrival. I was assured over the phone that due to the recent storms they're behind, and trying to "catch up". I was told I should expect a technician to arrive today. Unfortunately, they didn't arrive. *Update 04/28* They arrived this morning and replaced the cracked windshield. read more

I called on a Friday and was able to schedule for the next Monday afternoon for a windshield replacement. The price was better than anything else I could find in Austin and I appreciated that they were upfront about using an aftermarket glass. On Monday, I called when my appointment window was almost over and I hadn't heard anything. I believe it was Lino who said he would check the technician's schedule and call me back. I called back twice during their business hours and got the voicemail. When I called Tuesday morning, he immediately apologized - he had put me on the schedule for Tuesday instead of Monday. He moved the appointment to noon and said they would give me a $25 discount, which they did. The technician came around 1 p.m. and it was about a 1 hour install. At this point, I would give them 5 stars because they owned up and fixed their mistake and luckily it was only a minor inconvenience for me. I went out of town the next day, which was really windy, and as I was driving on the highway, I heard a weird buzzing/whistling noise like the wind was coming in from somewhere. I noticed that the rubber lip at the bottom of the windshield wasn't fully affixed to the windshield. I don't know much about cars but this seems like something that should be glued down to keep the glass in place. I called as soon as I got back in town to ask about this. I was told that they would check the schedule and get back to me on when they could have someone out to look at it. That was 2 days ago and I haven't been able to reach them since then. I'm very concerned that I am driving around with a windshield that I'm not sure is properly secured in my car and hope that I will get a response soon. read more

After doing some shopping around I chose Longhorn Automotive to replace my mom's windshield and I'm very glad I did! Everything went smoothly and the staff was very kind too! I would highly recommend calling this business and ask for a quote. They're cheaper than safelight, and they got the job done correctly on the first try unlike my past experience with safelight. But wait, there's more!! They will also remember to replace your inspection sticker back onto the windshield too unlike safelight!! It was a win win for me. I am extremely pleased with my entire experience with Select. From the time I contacted them on a Sunday evening thru their install of my new windshield, they have been excellent.
