Dr Mola is an exceptional dentist who really looks out for his patients. As a lot of the other reviews here confirm he's very professional, and skillful, but a really nice person at the same time. A fairly rare combination, as I have had dentists in the past who were only two out of three with those attributes. As a result, his popularity sometimes means he gets backed up. But he either clearly communicates when he'll be ready, or has one of his equally skillful and friendly staff work on the issue where possible. read more

I am SO lucky to have found Dr. Mola and the Select Dental family!!! After having a very traumatic experience at another San Leandro dentist office, where I was told that I would definitely need a root canal and at least 5 fillings or I'll lose my tooth. I went to Dr. Mola in a panic and he reassured me that he could take care of my tooth and he did an amazing job to make sure my teeth were filled beautifully and painlessly -- and NO root canal!!! Everyone is so genuine, kind, professional. They follow through and never fail to deliver top-notch service. My teeth have never been happier or healthier. I don't even know where to begin with this review. I've been seeing dr Mola for like two years. When I first went I had tons of cavities and pain and had horrible experiences with other dentists in the area being mean to me and also trying to overcharge me or not helping me when I was in pain etc. so when I first went to dr Mola I was very nervous and apprehensive but also desperate bc my teeth were a hot mess and it hurt. He was immediately kind and reassured me that he would fix everything for me no problem and that I didn't need to worry anymore. Since then I have seen him countless times and he has helped me completely transform my smile. He fixed every problem I had and in the end helped me choose to get veneers to really make my smile look perfect. He was so reasonable and accommodating with my payments as veneers are a lengthy and expensive procedure but the end result was more than worth everything. I have so much more confidence now than I've ever had before and I actually enjoy going to my checkups to see dr Mola and all the girls in the office. Dr Mola seriously cares about his patients and has worked through his own lunch more than once because my appointments required more attention. He really goes way out of his way to help his patients. Dr. Mola and Sally are always so welcoming! We always feel calm and know we are in good hands with Select Dental. Both dr. Mola and Sally have came out personally to the waiting room to say hello. They go above and beyond for their patients. I've witnessed when they get walk-in patients and they never turn them down. No insurance, no problem. They will do their best to try to help you out. The office is very modern! Dr. Mola has the latest dental equipment out there. Each room has there own X-ray machines tucked in their cupboards, there own patient rinse sinks, and counter tops. I am trying to find a new dentist and when I called Select Dental to set up an appointment the person on the other end of the line took all my information, and started looking to see what appointment openings they had, and then she asked me was I using insurance and I told her yes DeltaCare that is when she informed that they were all fulled up for DeltaCare and if I came in I would have to pay out of pocket. (is she crazy) Why did she not ask me about my insurance first to save a lot of time? I find that very unprofessional and for that reason I would advise anyone to not waste their time with this Dentist. I haven't been to the dentist in several years. I recently got a new job and insurance and decided it was time to go. Saw the great reviews on here about two weeks back and thought I'd stop by for a visit today. I don't think I've ever had an experience where I didn't hate being at the dentist. Knowing that I hadn't been in the chair for a while, I knew I would probably have to get a considerable amount of work done and choosing the right dentist was extremely important to me. Dr. Mola and his staff are extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and downright charismatic. All nervousness disspated during the initial interactions with them. I'll need my first root canal, which I would normally see as a scary thing, but honestly I feel like I couldn't be more ready to take care of it. He gave me a recommendation for the canal, and after speaking with them I trust that he linked me to a good office as well.
