I tried the 3 for $12 it was fine I had 3 pupusas for the first time classic/birria . The service was ok the last running the register was nice. The ambiance is pretty standard within flags and other cultural elements. It was worth a try.

Once again at the restaurant on Campbell Road and loved the pupusas! I enjoyed a hit, delicious grande chicken pupusas with the fixings and my friend had 3 regular-sized pupusas... 2 vegetable and one chicken. I had a taste of the vegetable one and loved it too... may have to order that next time! Great friendly service. I think we beat the crowd as the place was busier as we left.

I love the pastelitos here-- my favorite! I get them with the bean-spinach filling, ask for spicy salsa and of course eat with the curtido and salsa roja from the topping bar. I also enjoy their tamales. They have both banana leaf tamales and corn husk tamales. I also enjoy their Chicha de piña (fermented pineapple drink). My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

I came here for dinner with my family in September and ordered the Pacos Duo, which was delicious. I did feel like it was missing a side--rice or fries would've rounded out the dish nicely. I also spotted some really refreshing-looking drinks at a nearby table and meant to ask about them; I'm guessing they were the agua frescas. The restaurant itself is very casual.

They are fabulous!! Colombian Picasa, homemade tortillas, PUPUSAS, soups & more!! I am already drooling waiting to pick up order of a dozen small pupusas. If you haven't tried them, you MUST - they have something for every foodie - gluten free, or vegetarian, some vegan! The curtido (think of a vinegar slaw) is on point and the ají is not to be missed. Prices are great. Nice folks, too! I LOVE SELENAS!!

Fantastic vegan options . I was a little disappointed the bathrooms were out of order. The salsa bar made up for it & we asked for heat so she brought us a salsa from the back and it delivered . Fair pricing . Cozy cafe style dining.

Finally paid a visit after driving by so many times. It was worth the wait. The pupusas are fantastic, we both had a version from their pupusa list. Extensive menu overall as well. They also have an interesting list of fresh drinks. I chose the Ensalada, so great, I would return just to get this again and again. Service was attentive and informative when we needed.

Wow. This was not for me. I got the 3 for $10 deal. Revuelta (pork with cheese and beans), beef (beef cheese and beans) and delux (chicken pork spinach cheese and beans) pupusas. Came with orange sauce and pickled cabbage carrot onion in a sandwich bag. I got my food to go and it was packaged nicely and still sizzling hot when I got home. It was grilled to order. And it was fresh. The cheese they used was delicious but my compliments stop there. I think i understand why so many of the reviews get the original cheese and bean. The accompaniments added nothing. The orange sauce didn't add to the meat pupusas but with the bean and cheese it was nice. The pickled vegetables added nothing it was just too strong. The flavor was boring. Just not enough of something. I needed more flavor and pizazz. Also even tho it's a 3 for $10 deal it's $2 extra for the Deluxe so I paid $13.74 for 3. Not happy. It was my first time having food from this country. Restaurant looked clean and service was fine.

Angela the server was so nice, she recommended the seasonal champurrado which was delicious. From the music, to the food, this little restaurant is a hidden gem. If this is your first visit their 3 pupusas special is a great way to get you started as you can try several items as well as the pastelitos. The pupusas are the perfect size for sharing. From the pupusa I recommend the chicken, beef and the loroco. The beef pastelito was our favorite, and the yuca was cooked to perfection. The kids even said they would eat yucca this way anytime before eating fries.

I was first introduced to Selena's at the Rillito farmer's market. We tried the vegan fiesta plate which was definitely the way to go. It comes with a pupusa, tamale, two pastelitos, yucca, and sweet plantain. They have a small dining area and mini salsa bar. No complaints at all and will certainly be back!

This is a small El Salvadoran restaurant in the middle of town. I tried multiple pupusas and they were all amazing! I had their bean and cheese, their chicken, and their beef rev. Made fresh to order, they all had a ton of flavor. Staff was friendly as well.

In a single word, YUM!! The ensalada drink was so refreshing and flavorful! Loved the diced pieces of fruit in it. I ordered 3 regular papusas ($10): the deluxe, revuelta, and loroco. They were all great and I especially enjoyed the loroco which was so cheesy. There's a toppings bar with slaw and salsa as well. We also got two tamales: a jackfruit and a hibiscus. Service was absolutely fantastic! Food was great! Restaurant was clean and bright. Highly recommend!

Any seats where a pug can stay at the table?

The seating area is not large at their place on Campbell. Call the establishment and ask would be my best advice. Or, better yet if a nice day, go to Rillito Farmer's Market on Sunday and buy their food there. Everyone is sitting outdoors there with… Read more

It is a traditional Mexican bodega and meat market better known as a carniceria. Everyone there is so friendly and they have all of your hard to find Mexican brand goods. The best thing is that they have a full kitchen that serves everything from tacos, burritos, nachos and even menudo on certain days. Fresh hand made tortillas that you can purchase and take home to cook when needed as well. My go to there is the mixta burrito which is a mix of pastor (pork) and carne asada. The burrito is huge and also has beans and rice inside combined with cilantro and onions. Their fresh homemade salsas are to die for! Grab an ice cold refresco from the fridge to wash it down (soda pop for all the gringos).

But that's okay because I wouldn't want us to even think about eating more of it than we did. These people clearly don't know the meaning of the word "crisp." Just wrote this in hopes that someone else will read it and be spared that experience.
