3Sixteen+ 11BSP's & Strike Gold belt from Self Edge NY. 4+ months of almost daily wear and counting. No washes.

Self Edge rocks! I've always had the same problem with jeans; I buy a pair and it fits great in the store and then after a few weeks they're either huge or the factory "distressed" spots tear into gaping holes and they become unwearable. I decided that enough is enough and I needed to buy one pair of really good jeans that fit like they were made for me. After shopping around for a few weeks I came across Self Edge on Yelp. The shop is almost directly across the street from Invisible NYC, where I get my tattoos done. I just never noticed it before. I dealt with Aaron and he was awesome! In all my shopping around he was the first person I'd spoken to that seemed to really know what he was talking about when it came to jeans and fit. I had heard of raw denim but I didn't really know much about it. Aaron expertly explained the difference between raw denim and the denim we're used to seeing in stores and suggested several pairs of jeans for me to try based on the criteria I was looking for. I ended up with an awesome pair of 3Sixteen+ 11BSP jeans and a beefy Strike Gold natural cowhide belt to go with them. Again, Aaron took his time to explain the soaking and break-in process and suggested a few different ways to do so. I've been wearing them almost daily for about a month and a half now and I couldn't be happier with my purchase, they fit better every day. I'll probably stop back around the same time next year to pick up another pair of raw selvedge jeans.

Customer service is meh, really small boutique. What irked me was the passive aggressiveness the replies from emailing the self edge owner.

Brought a pair of denim to get hemmed ($25 for a high quality chainstitch) and also tried on a couple other pairs.

The mix of brands is fire, the quality is legit, and the prices were better than I expected. Shipping was quick, everything came in perfect, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. It's rare for an online order to feel this easy and actually deliver on style, quality, and price, but Extra Butter did exactly that. Definitely shopping with them again.

Got the sizes I wanted to try on out of the back. Store is very clean and spaced out nicely. A good experience. But online orders? Every one of the three times I've ordered something online from this spot, they cancel my order a few days or a week later, with no explanation given. The latest time, I asked them why they cancelled and got ghosted. The shoes I ordered now cost $150 more on resale markets. Fine. On to the next, I'm over it. But just beware. Shady business practices. I will never be coming to this store again or ordering online from them. Good luck to them in the current streetwear market. Much more trustworthy competitors out there if you're willing to look.

FIRE OR RETRAIN YOUR SECURITY GUARD…read more My boyfriend and I stopped by this store with one goal in mind: buy a couple of tshirts that only this store has. We ring the doorbell, as the sign says, and out comes the security guard who says the store is at capacity. My boyfriend looks over his shoulder and says there's only 5 people inside. To which the security guard replies "do you understand how shopping works?" ....... Um yes we do.... That's why we are trying to visit this store to buy a shirt....from a clothing store? He finally lets us in after someone leaves. The store now has 6 people total. We enter and immediately my boyfriend sees the shirts that he planned to buy. The shirts are in a plastic sleeve and he is only touching the fabric. He's not taking the shirt outside. The security guard comes over and tells him if he needs help. To which my boyfriend responses "no, I just wanted to know how the shirt felt". The security guard then says he can't take the shirt out of the packaging and my boyfriend responds "yeah I'm not." The security guard then calls a staff member to help my boyfriend out. Remember, this is a SECURITY GUARD. He's occupation and attention should be on managing the front door. We then speak with the staff and my boyfriend's asks for a size L and they say they only have a size M but he can try it on. And then proceeds to walk us to the back of the store and tell us to stand in line. My boyfriend and I are midway through the store and we are contemplating if we should wait in line. I'm not exaggerating when I say the security guard leaves his station and comes straight to boyfriend and then proceeds to tell him he can't be at the back of the store because they are at capacity. There's 4 people in the back! My boyfriend explains the staff brought us here and said to stand in line for the fitting room. The security guard then speaks over my boyfriends, says we can't be here and belittles him. Another staff member gets involved trying to deescalate the situation and says he's sorry. The security guard should have informed the staff if there was a policy in place. I sincerely ask him if this is a normal experience to be followed and harassed by a security guard? My boyfriend tells the security guard that he made shopping here very unpleasant. I cannot express enough to not come here. If you are looking to browse, or with any intention of buying, go somewhere else.

The coffee shop is super small and I came here to try the viral Freddo Iced cappuccino. . Its a greek type of coffee. I was excited to try it. This was not really for me unfortunately. There were fruity notes in here that my palette just really did not like. I got to the coffee shop/store right when it opened and the store was already at capacity which is why I had to sign up at the door and wait for the text to say it was my turn. when it was my turn there was a musky like smell in the store and felt like I was at a speakeasy or a private members club. You are greeted when you first walk in with the site of a big car and the smell. This store is spacious so not really sure why they don't let a few more people in at a time but oh well. They have mostly mens clothes but I did I think see some woman's clothes and their accessories as well. The price point here is very high! I am glad I was able to check this out but I have no need to go back.
