Best customer service I've had in a long time! I was super nervous about getting a storage unit. Will my stuff be safe?? Will it get ruined?? What about mice?? The ladies in the front made me feel like I had friends helping me get set up. They explained everything, from how they check all of the locks twice a day, to how they're preventing mice! Jo explained all the different packages I could get and what the different size units really had to offer. I thought I knew what I needed (but I was wrong LOL). I got a full tour of the entire facility as well as complimentary water and coffee! They even showed me how to use the app which opens the gate for you. I do have to say make sure you have time set aside when you come down, they want to make sure you have all the details you need and that takes a little bit of time. Self Storage of Vacaville = Poison Everywhere! This place is like an animal poison field. The owners are clearly so concerned about terrible rodent problems and don't care how much they poison rodents. Animal poison traps everywhere you look... probably 100 of them. I can only assume that the storage units here are not well made or very secure if they need 100 poison traps every 20 feet because rodents can get in the units so easily. If you've ever watched an animal die of poison (yes, even a rodent)... it's sad and sickening... just reminds you how selfish people really are. The owners clearly are more greedy for money than they care about humanely treating animals. They will probably justify by just saying "we want our place to be rodent free"... instead of addressing "how" they do it. I pray the owners are forced to watch hundreds of rodents die a slow painful death of poison. ... but this place probably wouldn't care... they like their money more than their ethics. read more

Great customer service and clean new facility I would recommend to anyone who is in need of a storage. When I moved my stuff in the office manager brought my family and I free cold water bottles, I paid for a few mattresses protectors and a new lock from the front desk and she delivered everything to my unit while we were unloading. It's cool inside, the security makes you feel safe, there's carts at every entrance into the unit buildings, which are a +++++, and most of all, it SMELLS GREAT when you enter your building and there's music playing. (yes, that's a HUGE deal to me..lol ). You'd think you're walking into an office building, not a storage building. I found myself in need of a storage unit (My garage was about to explode). I had rented a unit several years ago, at a different location. I chose this location because of the proximity to my house and not having to worry about it possibly flooding. I requested a quote and they were very timely and reasonable. I went down two days later and rented the unit (10X10) inside. The facilities were clean and well maintained. As I was bringing a load into the facility, there were rolling carts to transport my stuff inside. The employees were in other buildings checking on things. I like their security policies and surveillance set up. I don't know how long I will need the unit, but I feel safe and secure with my belongings being there. read more
