We we're visiting from Northern California. We were in Vancouver for 2 weeks to look at the area as a possible new home for us when we retire next year. My husband and I love local bars, so I turned to Yelp and picked Sellberg's - SO glad I did!!! We visited 2x while we were there and had a great time. This is a terrific local bar with excellent drinks and wonderful people. Thank you Monique and Nadine(?) for taking such good care of us. Ummm I absolutely am in love with this place. All of my most favorite things. PIANO, CRIBBAGE, DARTS, and SHUFFLE BOARD.

I've passed this place a hundred times and never stopped. What a shame! Finally decided to give it a try and stopped in late one night. The barkeep was friendly and fast, the drinks were cheap, and the pours were decent :) there are board games, pool tables, darts, shuffle board, and plenty of space to hang out. The place is dated for sure but there are cool things hanging about the tavern walls and the vibe is very laid back. Come as you are! P.S. there's an older lady who was behind the bar as well, she's fantastic. Friendly and quick, and just chatty enough to make you feel more than welcome! read more

Such a Gem in a community town. Great food and even better service! Super clean for a bar/ lounge. They have shuffle board, 3 pool tables, jukebox and games. It's a pretty good size. Not a huge fan this place, at the same time at the tavern. Their pool tables pinball machines so if you're looking for a place that's got some small entertainment but I mean your age demographic is going to be towards the higher end. Found Sellberg's on Yelp, was looking for a bar with pool and darts. This was above a 4 but not quite a 5 for us. My hubby and I went and were warmly greeted by Jim and Donna, they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, which is nothing we've experienced at a bar before. Had fish and chips for dinner, good food. Great selection of seasonals on tap! Very reasonable food and drink prices. We played darts, had a great time. Pool tables were all in use but we could have taken a turn if we wanted to. Hubby said the restroom was really clean, the whole place was. We will definitely be back for what is on tap and the nice, welcoming people. Recommend! read more

It's a tavern, so how extensive can a review be? My pool team will start playing out of here in a week, so last night we decided to have a practice session. The tables have all been newly felted and new rails put on. The bartender mentioned they will also be replacing the balls very soon. Excellent! Pitchers of PBR for $7.50, great deal. Typical food menu with burgers, fries and sandwiches. Last night they had a special of $1 BLT Sliders. Soft buns filled with 2 strips of crispy bacon, crisp lettuce and large slice of tomato. Very tasty. I also ordered the Fried Chicken Gizzards for $3. About 8-10 gizzards with a bag of chips. Also tasty. The bartender was very friendly and came over often to check on our drinks. Overall a very nice experience and I'm looking forward to starting our new pool season here. read more

Service was not good I had a burger one half of my tomato was a half inch thick the other part of my tomato was probably about 1/8 inch thick there was more Bun then Burger finally ended up having to eat the rest of my burger with my fingers because it kept falling apart and there's sever wasn't around to get fork even tho there was only 4 other customers in the building my son tried the chicken gizzards he didn't realize till he was almost done that they were still dripping blood and very undercooked I would suggest that they invest in a thermometer and a bartender that actually paid attention to her customers and check back to see how they were doing I won't be back and if my son get sick I'll be calling the Health Department read more

This place stinks! Literally, it stinks like the fryers haven't been cleaned since the place opened in 19-diggity-whatever. When you leave, you smell like it. The food is sub-par even for tavern food which I normally like. Forget about the pizza, it's gross. The beer selection isn't great either. Most people who go there like it fine I'm sure since it's mostly domestic yellow beer. They have rainier in a can which is great but it's $2.50 for a 12 ounce. (if it were 16, I would like this place much more). Okay, that's enough bad talk, let's talk nice talk.... Sellberg's is super fun. They have 3 nice pool tables, an old juke box filled with classic country and taverny music like that, a free shuffle board table, two dart boards AND the best pinball in Vancouver period. By the far the best. AND they have a change machine so you don't have to bother the bartender about quarters, BRILLIANT! So, sorry Sellberg's about the trash talk because I still love ya. Horrible service. Great environment, but doesn't make up for the sub par service. You could clearly tell the bartender wanted to be anywhere but pouring drinks. Was told they close at 1100 pm, but was in no way told last call was at 1000pm. What kind of bar has a last call an hour before closing and doesn't even announce last call. Not only did she not call it, she mocked my party for not knowing how bars work. I tried to order a round at 1030 and was told last call was 30 minutes ago right before she left us unattended for a 30 minute smoke break. She clearly didn't want to be there why would anybody else wanna be there? read more

This place is awesome. Pinball pool darts you name it and they have good beers to choose from. The only down side is as a woman I've been hollered at almost every time I come in and if it wasn't for me having company I wouldn't be comfortable there. Youth needs to take over this place! Just beer, which is fine. The regulars look at you funny as you enter the bar. Hard to walk around the place due to a poor seating arrangement, not like they need any of the booths (mostly broken) at all, as there is never anyone sitting in them. This is a live and die local bar... Don't come here expecting to have the time of your life. read more

Sorry to say but what appeared to be a quaint neighborhood bar wasn't. The Bar tender was very friendly and accommodating to my wife and I as we had failed to notice upon arrival that it is beer and wine only. No problem we will stay and have a few beers and play some darts. I put 10 dollars in the Juke box to wake the old souls in the bar with some classic country music. After the very first song the bartender turned the juke box down so low we couldnt hear the music but instead could hear the people all whispering at the bar. Finished my beer and went to pay the tab. I apologized for playing music and was told that the owner was having a meeting in a nearby booth and did not want to be disturbed. I explained I just dumped $10 dollars in the juke box. Nope no offer to reimburse and so I paid my tab and left... If you are going to own a business and use it as a meeting place then close the doors or at the very least put an out of order sign on the juke box and let everyone know your an idiot before I waste my money......... So we went to the Silver Star where we spent our hard earned dollars and will never return to Sellbergs. These guys could take a lesson from John Taffer. read more
