Brian is a hoot! So much fun. Burgers are great and they truly care that you are here. It's not the usual it the exception to the rule. Great times

Not a huge fan this place, at the same time at the tavern. Their pool tables pinball machines so if you're looking for a place that's got some small entertainment but I mean your age demographic is going to be towards the higher end. I'll leave that up for interpretation. Everything in there is pretty dated but maybe that's what they were going for. Food is mediocre. Probably won't go here ever again. And the place thanks

Found Sellberg's on Yelp, was looking for a bar with pool and darts. This was above a 4 but not quite a 5 for us. My hubby and I went and were warmly greeted by Jim and Donna, they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, which is nothing we've experienced at a bar before. Had fish and chips for dinner, good food. Great selection of seasonals on tap! Very reasonable food and drink prices. We played darts, had a great time. Pool tables were all in use but we could have taken a turn if we wanted to. Hubby said the restroom was really clean, the whole place was. We will definitely be back for what is on tap and the nice, welcoming people. Recommend!

16-17 beers on tap (this is just 11 of them)

They brought me a dinner salad. I went to the bar to let them know it was wrong and I was told "we are out of chicken strips and she does not have time to cut and bread any more". They then charged me $9 when the salad was $8.50 on the menu. The bartender shrugged when I told him that. They did not offer to make it right. If they were out of chicken strips they needed to tell me that WHEN I ORDERED! Who wants a salad with their beer?!? Be sure to read your receipt! These guys will rip you off. UPDATE: Someone replied below stating, 'Its 50¢ difference cathy.' They completely missed the point. This was never about 50 cents; it was about the poor attitude of the staff and the lack of basic customer service. Their dismissive response perfectly illustrates the exact issue I experienced during my visit.

After ordering food and a round of drinks for the group, we sat down at one of the gaming booths, excited to dive in. When I went back to the counter to ask how to start playing, the bartender told me it was $5 per person to access the games and that guests needed to consistently order drinks to maintain access. Honestly, that seemed fair to me. However, things quickly went downhill. I offered to pay the game fee, but was told I needed to buy drinks first. I explained we had just bought drinks--he had literally served us minutes earlier. His response: "You need to have an open tab, and we won't let you play unless you order more." At that point, the experience soured. The staff felt dismissive and unwelcoming throughout the interaction. Despite already spending money, we were denied access to what we came for. We finished our drinks--which, for some reason, didn't count--and left. This was my first visit, and unfortunately, likely my last. (This place had 5-star potential when I first arrived, but the staff interaction left miserable)

My Experience at Tip Top Too…read more I visited Tip Top Too around 8 PM with friends to play ping pong and have a drink. I had only one drink and had been there a short time when I was asked to leave by security, a short, bald-headed man with tattoos, while my friends, who are white, were allowed to stay. This unequal treatment made me feel singled out and discriminated against, creating a deeply uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience. Security Reflects the Business If this security guard is intended to represent the business, he is failing to uphold a professional and inclusive standard. Patrons should never feel judged, treated unfairly, or removed based on appearance, race, or ethnicity. Such behavior reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. Pattern of Biased Behavior After reviewing other customer experiences, it is evident that minorities have faced similar treatment at this location. This points to a pattern of biased behavior, not an isolated incident, which raises serious concerns for both patrons and management. Personal Consequences Because of this experience, my friends and I will not be returning, and we will not refer anyone else to Tip Top Too. I strongly urge management to immediately review security practices, implement proper training, and ensure that every guest is treated with fairness and respect. For Owners and Authorities I am posting this review not only to inform other patrons but also to bring attention to these concerning practices for regulatory and discrimination authorities in Washington. Every customer deserves a safe, welcoming, and equitable environment, and Tip Top Too is currently failing to uphold that standard.

The Spot is a true Vancouver neighborhood bar, and people have been coming here for decades. Owner…read moreAlan works incredibly hard for this place. He shows up, he cares, and he has made real efforts to improve the atmosphere. The recent remodel has made the bar lighter, brighter and more welcoming. There are also some genuinely excellent bartenders who represent what The Spot should be. Cindy is phenomenal: professional, attentive and accommodating. Dylan will always hold a special place in my heart because she was the first bartender who took care of Jordan and me after we moved to Vancouver. She immediately made us feel welcome. I have never forgotten that, and that first experience is one of the reasons The Spot became special to me. Unfortunately, my experiences with Ashley have been the complete opposite. Ashley has only been working there for roughly a month, yet in that short time she is already alienating regular customers and damaging the environment Alan is working so hard to build. I have dealt with her more than once, and the service has been consistently rude, dismissive and unprofessional. A couple of Thursdays ago, Ashley was covering for Cindy while Cindy was on vacation. I came in to meet our normal Thursday lunch group, and the difference in atmosphere was unbelievable. Ashley was inattentive and rude to multiple guests. This was not simply one bad interaction between her and me. Other people were having problems with her service and attitude as well. The experience became uncomfortable enough that I eventually left. Today sealed it for me. I had some time before getting tires put on my truck, so I stopped by The Spot for breakfast and a drink. When I walked in and saw her behind the bar, I genuinely considered turning around and leaving, but I decided to give it another chance. That was a mistake. I sat down at the bar. Ashley looked directly at me and continued talking with another guest while she ate her food and got herself something to drink. She made no effort to greet me, take my order or even acknowledge that I was waiting to be served. Then, while I was still sitting there, I watched her smirk with another guest and make comments about me. Eventually, I got up and walked out. I walked into a neighborhood bar ready to spend money, yet the bartender made the experience so uncomfortable that I left without ordering anything. That is not being busy. That is not having an off morning. That is not a personality difference. That is a failure of basic hospitality and professionalism. Bartending is a service profession. Customers do not have to be treated like friends, but they should be acknowledged, treated respectfully and given basic service. You do not have to like every person who walks through the door, but you do have to act professionally. Making a paying customer feel as though being served is some privilege you are granting them is completely backwards. What makes this so concerning is how quickly this has happened. Ashley has been there approximately ONE MONTH, and she is already making longtime customers uncomfortable enough that they are leaving, avoiding her shifts and talking about how unpleasant the atmosphere becomes when she is behind the bar. That should concern anyone who cares about this business. Alan is trying to move The Spot forward. He remodeled it, made it brighter and more welcoming, and continues to show up for his business. Cindy, Dylan and the other professional bartenders have spent years building relationships with customers and creating the neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back. It should not take one new bartender a matter of weeks to start undoing that work. This is bigger than whether Ashley likes me personally. I do not expect my bartender to be my friend. I expect professionalism, respect and service when I walk into an establishment as a paying customer. I will not spend my money somewhere while being deliberately ignored, mocked or made to feel unwelcome by the person whose job is to provide hospitality. At this point, if Ashley is working, I will go somewhere else. Based on what I have personally witnessed, I would highly recommend that anyone planning to visit during the morning shifts check who is behind the bar first. When Cindy is there, when Dylan is there, or when one of the other professional bartenders is working, The Spot can be exactly what a great neighborhood bar should be. That is the bar I know and the reason I keep coming back. But what I have experienced with Ashley is unacceptable. The most frustrating part is that I know The Spot is better than this. Alan deserves better representation behind his bar. The regulars who have supported this place for years deserve better. The Spot should be building loyalty, not allowing a bartender who has barely been there a month to drive loyal customers out the door.
