As the owners of Texas Plumbing Diagnostics, we refer all requests for septic work to Van Delden…read more We have had a tremendous working relationship with them for years. We have also used them personally. They installed a system for us at our previous home, and inspected the system for us when we were purchasing our current home. Great work, Van Delden!

The homeowners are currently working with Highland Homes to "find a resolution" to fix these ticking time bombs. Highland is asking for their patience as they come up with a solution. They are having to try to engineer something to reinforce it and prevent collapse without having to replace the entire system with a concrete system like I had to and which should have been placed from the beginning due to the depth of the plumbing coming out of the house. UPDATE. since they still are not interested in taking any accountability let me describe with more detail. First of all the photos speak for themselves! The styrofoam has no business being there. What on earth could explain its need to be there? Van Delden and Highland Homes both try to blame the other. Van Delden tries to say they "have written documentation from Highland Homes that they further raised the grade after project completion! That may be the case but that still doesn't explain the styrofoam. A picture is worth a thousand words. I think these speak very very loudly Let me add a couple more including a stack of risers and some specs from the Clearstream website I can assure you there was a suit filed, lawyers were involved and that Clearstream (manufacturer of the septic system itself), nor Highland Homes were too happy with my photos, videos, or firsthand inspections We ended up having to pay $18,300 for a full replacement with a different company. Highland Homes paid us this plus a small bit more (which barely covered my lawyers fees plus the 1700 sq fr of sod that had to be replaced (4 pallets at $270/ pallet) And I do know for a fact that two of my next-door neighbors systems are buried every bit as deep or deeper than mine and Highland Homes is currently seeking to find an engineering workaround to avoid having to replace the whole system When this first happened I would have settled being out a few thousand dollars of my own money if you all would have just done what was right and owned it. Instead you want to continue to deny accountability Wish I could give a half star. My fiberglass system which is not supposed to be buried any deeper than 18" was knowingly buried just short of 4' deep due to the plumber placing main line too deep. Rather than installing a concrete system which would be capable of supporting the weight of that much soil on top they opted to install the fiberglass system and put a MASSIVE amount of styrofoam on top to fill some of the space but not weigh as much as soil would (as if that was ever going to work long term). It worked for about 3 yrs before it completely gave way and collapsed revealing their deceit. Upon reaching out to them they simply wanted to fall back on their "2 yr warranty" and because it was 3 yrs they declined any and all accountability. I live in Timberwood Park in a pocket of 19 homes built 3-5 yrs ago and already multiple homes have had similar failures and two of my neighbors have fiberglass systems buried as deep or deeper (we can measure down the clean out pipe to the T fitting as well as see how many risers were used when the septic lid is removed. I had to get a lawyer involved and we won that case without a problem. I have tons of photos and videos showing how much blatant disregard went into my installation. They are known for being price gougers. Now you can add sketchy and deceitful to their name!!!!!!!!!

Needed my septic pumped & called Bulldog after finding their company on Yelp. I read a negative…read morepost about them charging more from the phone quote to the in-person price because they had to dig septic tank cover off. I clearly described access to my tank and they were able to quote the same over the telephone & in-person price. I found the 2 techs friendly & they provided good info on system maintenance. They neatly put back the little bit of grass around the tank lid they had to remove to access the lid. Also...I would ignore that other guy with the negative review about price change. If your tank lid is buried, & significant effort has to go into just accessing the lid before any pump out work can be done & you don't tell Bulldog that, then charging more for the time & to dig it out is reasonable. I will use Bulldog for my future septic pump out needs.

I had my septic tank pumped. They did a good job, but they severely under-quoted me how much it…read morewould cost. I was quoted $425 plus a "possible $100 digging charge if they have to dig more than 12 inches down". So my family and I went out there and dug out one whole opening, about 11" down. Turns out they need 2 openings, plus they changed their digging charge policy. According to the receptionist, the policy just changed to "If they have to dig at all, it's $100". So just be aware. $100 to dig a few scoops of dirt SEEMS high to me, but what do I know. My average sized home has a 1,250 gal. tank, and apparently such a tank can hold 1500 gallons, because they charged me $150 more for 500 extra gallons pumped. So all in all, I paid $675 when I expected to pay $425. A bit of a sticker shock. Would I recommend them? Maybe, but just know that they under-quote you. I paid over 50% more than I expected. You WILL have to add the $100 digging fee, and unless you're living in a 1 bedroom trailer, your tank will be more than the $425 standard fee for "up to 1,000 gallons". I'm not going to be ridiculous and give them 1 star or some nonsense. They get 3 stars. They did a good job on the pumping. But I honestly think the owner(s) have a lot to learn about business, customer service, and human psychology. Who likes to pay more than they expected? If you need more than $425 for a pumping, just raise your price. But don't play games. $100 for a bit of digging is ridiculous. Don't hold out hope a person can escape that massive charge, if you want that $100 every time you come out. Just be up-front about how much you want for your service.

He recommended having them pumped (see my separate review for RW Septic Service) after which he would return. He was very punctual both times. The second visit, he was very thorough and removed all roots from inside the tanks. He also went around the perimeter of the tank system to break up additional roots and poured out some Zep® Root Kill to prevent future root growth. He was very friendly and helpful, and educated me about our septic system. He recommended flushing one container of Zep® Root Kill down the toilet nearest the septic system to prevent growth of roots inside the tank, should they find their way in there. He also recommended pumping the tanks every three years, to prevent any problems, such as requiring that he suit up and have to enter the tank (which is very expensive). His price was as estimated: $250. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I've gone through several other septic service businesses and typically get told it'll take at least another day before someone can come out. I needed a pump service along with someone to see what was wrong with my pump. Kris was so fast to offer help and service the same day as well as provided me with better options for my home. Ultimately, he found the problem and fixed my problem the same day. I was so grateful. Would absolutely recommend.
