Start your Sunday off right with a chicken sandwich from Semicolon Cafe, located inside Tilly Kitchen. Loved the freshly baked brioche bread that sandwich my chicken (packed with flavor), scrambled egg (so soft and fluffy), and fresh veggies. Washed my meal down with an iced matcha latte. So good! Service was friendly and my food/drink came out in no time. There's tons of seating available inside and several tables outside. Parking shouldn't be an issue in the large lot just outside the Kitchen. Pro tip: Skip the line and order at the kiosk to save some time.
The inside open seating, service, and food were all so good!! As a fyi I'd go off their screen menu as their paper ones are outdated. We got the S.O.S ($9) and the lox sandwich ($12). The SOS was super good and the lox had such a dill flavor and salmon that melts!! Both on the smaller end but were packed!! The strawberry Matcha bingsoo ($9) was a little underwhelming with minimal matcha. I think had it had a layer or more than a drizzle then it woulda been perfect. Totally rec this place to catch up with a friend or get some work done since there's lots of ample parking.
Semicolon Cafe is a must go!! It's located inside the Tilly Kitchen so just a heads up when you're trying to figure out where to go. The inside area is super cute and has a lot of seating options, and they also have free wifi so it would be a great spot to work during the week because it's pretty minimal foot traffic in the mornings. There was only one person working and we got there right when it opened so it took a minute to get our food but that was totally fine a because it was 100% worth the wait!! We got the lox and chicken sandwiches along with the mango bingsoo - they were all phenomenal. I cannot wait to go back and eat this meal all over again!!
Needed something sweet after lunch and decided on Semicolon which was conveniently located inside of Tilly Kitchen. Ordered two different kinds of bingsoo - mango and strawberry. Both were delicious! I liked the personal sized bingsoo instead of the big bowl like other places. I would definitely order this again.
Located inside Tilly Kitchen, this small dessert shop offers drinks and desserts that pair well with Tilly Kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the drinks aren't overly sweet, especially with their green apple ade. They also have other desserts like fun flavored macarons and Korean shaved ice (bingsoo) options that looked really good, but Tilly Kitchen was very filling, so I didn't get any. There isn't much interaction with the staff since one orders from a kiosk, but the service is relatively fast. The dining area is quite nice with plenty of benches and tables both dndoors and outdoors.
Bruh the struggles I went to find this place lmao but how I Inhaled that bulgogi sandwich in like a minute cause it was so good!!!!! I drove from DC on a Sunday and thankful I had to pick someone up at IAF for a good excuse to stop by. Enter into the chaos of lotte world plaza and park and enter Tilly's cafe and you'll find Semicolon cafe is inside. There is a kiosk for Tilly's kitchen under the Savory sign but Semicolon Cafe is in the middle of the restaurant. For a bulgogi sandwich and a blue lemonade I paid $16~ I wish my boyfriend was with me so I could have tried more lmao. I'll deff have to come back for the chicken sandwich. Super clean inside and seeing all the various options for Tilly's kitchen first was pretty cool. Can't wait to come back.

I got the chicken sandwich and made so adjustments to make it just a little less spicy (no jalapeño) and dairy free (no cheese). Still was pretty spicy, in a good way, and you can tell it was made fresh. The egg was fluffy and light and the lettuce wasn't soggy. I like that it came in a little box for mess-free eating. It was a very filling sandwich. For my drink I got a blue lemonade. Definitely read the descriptions of what you get because this isn't your ordinary lemonade. It is carbonated and has mint in it. Very tasty though and the sweetness perfectly balanced with the spiciness of the sandwich. A great combo. There is lot of indoor seating. The space is very bright with windows on every side. They also have lot of outdoor seating options that were fully shaded. Definitely would recommend. It's probably a good thing that this is far from me or else I would be going WAY too often!
Such a lovely and clean place to get food, catch up with friends, or work! I got the bulgolgi sandwich, their most popular sandwiches, but I usually get the shroom one. The meat is very filling, but the fat to actual meat ratio was a bit high. The sauce is what makes the sandwich; it's a little sweet and a bit tangy. My friend got the shroom, which tastes better than the bulgolgi because it's lighter and the truffle sauce goes well with the mushroom and egg. Service was quick and fast, and the workers were friendly! Will come back again!
Delightful... the staff was so helpful especially when I accidentally broke my straw while opening it. They have me a new one.. since it was edible and made the drink really fun! My drink was delicious! I can't wait to come back and try a sandwich and dessert! The atmosphere is fun... lots of seats and fun little areas to hang out in. It's hard to find at first but it's inside Tilly's kitchen- only a sign on one side in the window.
Decided to check out the bingsoo after reading many reviews! The two flavors we chose didn't disappoint one bit! We definitely loved the Mango more but both were super delicious! The music in the hall was VERY loud but we just blocked it out but the wait time was reasonable so the whole experience was great for a Sunday evening treat. Highly recommend
This cafe was pretty busy around lunch time on a Saturday. They have self seating available after you make your order. BELT sandwich: very prettily made! The bread was very buttery, the sandwich was very creamy and had a good crunch to it with the lettuce. I couldn't taste the corn in egg at all. Matcha latte: very light. I usually get a caffeine kick but I was actually still tired after drinking all of it. Overall, good food, good service!
3.5 stars! Northern VA needs more smaller coffee shops, and I was excited to try this one out. I went this past Saturday around noon, and it was super packed with patrons eating at Tilly's (the restaurant semicolon is in), and both Semicolon. However, the line went by fast, and the girl taking my order was polite and quick. I got the bulgolgi sandwich, (which I usually would not pay $11 for a sandwich) but the meat was plentiful with a big egg slab, and some tasty sauce inside. The lettuce and tomato seemed fresh too. I was pleasantly surprised. One thing that bumped this down a star was that the coffee was unfortunately *not* good... :[ One of my favorite coffee places is across the street, and I was honestly bummed I spent money on a burnt-tasting, and bitter hot latte at Semicolon when I could have gotten a consistently good coffee elsewhere. Overall, despite that hiccup I'm glad I tried this spot. It was a bit noisy and the music and vibe was more mainstream than I expected, but I'm sure they have to cater to the weekend crowd and maybe it's a different vibe on weekdays. This place overall is cute, but hopefully they can make some improvements to the coffee! If I ever go here with a friend, I'll probably stick to their iced drinks that seem popular. Again, this area needs less corporate chain cookie cutter coffee shops, so I hope they improve!
We had high hopes for this restaurant based on all the positive feedback...but it was just ok for us. We ordered the bulgolgi sandwich and strawberry milk macarron. The macaroon was the best part and was only slightly sweet, had good feet, and the filling was nice as well. The bulgolgi sandwich was ok but I only tasted egg, sauce and bread. The Tilly Kitchen is also in the same place and we tried a few things from there as well, but still mostly unimpressed with the lack of flavor across the board here. I would try this place again to see if there was something else I liked but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.
Originally starting in New York, I'm happy that we have a Semicolon location in the DMV! Their sandwiches are delicious; they're made with fresh and tasty ingredients, the presentation is super nice from the food to the packaging, and they offer many different kinds of options. I got the bacon, egg, lettuce, and tomato (BELT) sandwich, and it was so picturesque, definitely an Instagram worthy foodie spot! The BELT tasted great, the bacon was salty and crispy, the veggies were fresh, the bread was fantastic: buttery and soft! Their sandwiches each come with a delicious sauce and it's different for each sandwich. read more
I ordered the Bulgogi sandwich, and it was so flavorful! The bulgogi was tender and packed with deliciousness! I enjoyed every single bite! I for sure want to try the rest of their sandwiches! They also offer a lot of pastries and desserts that I really would like to try. They have macarons, brownies, cupcakes and other pastries. They all looked so good on the shelves. I actually wanted to pair with a boba drink, but they didn't have any boba on their menu. I'd like to try some things on their drink menu, but at this particular time, I just wanted boba. So I got the sandwich to go. The staff are polite, and they work quickly to try to get orders out in a timely manner. The cafe is actually in the middle of another restaurant in a standalone building, so there's a lot going on around. There's plenty of tables and chairs that are shared with the restaurant's patrons. There are 2 little rooms toward the front of the restaurant that are a little bit more private with 2 separating walls. I would absolutely come back to try other things on the menu! read more
I was craving for something not too filling after a nice day at the Spa. For some odd reason I have never looked into checking out Semicolon Cafe; I guess when there's so many other cafes in the vicinity it's easy to overlook this place. Walking inside Tilly Kitchen, Semicolon Café is right in the middle of the floor, there's tables surrounding it but a small section with sweets and even touchscreens if you want to order from there. It's really interesting how this operates. I got the Ham Sandwich and the Lady Matcha drink as my " dinner " for the night. How could you not resist getting a sandwich here? The sandwich was prepped behind the counter for Tilly Kitchen and brought up front to the Semicolon Café section. It was neat. The Lady Matcha drink was made in front of me as I waited. Upon first glance I already knew I was in for a treat. The Ham Sandwich is colorful, and reminiscent of what I see in Korean Street Food videos. The idea that I could get one in person is just exciting! Consisting of scrambled eggs with grilled corn, lettuce, grilled ham, cheddar cheese, spicy chili mayo on a brioche bread made daily makes for a very dangerous delight. Oh the amount of joy just eating this. It's very simple, straight to the point, in your face with how it presents itself. I never thought I'd be so happy eating a Ham Sandwich but it was really good. I want to try out the other sandwiches when I get the chance. The Lady Matcha was an interesting drink too. Whole Milk with Strawberry Syrup ( I think ) over Matcha on top creates a very colorful layer of cute and aesthetically pleasing colors! It also came with an edible straw that was strawberry which I found cute too! My only issue? I drank this a bit too fast and it was gone within minutes. Remind me to get less ice next time. An interesting place to check out in Chantilly. Although it's a bit of a drive, I would love to try the Tilly Kitchen portion of it! read more

As mentioned previously this place is located in a small cafeteria style setting where there are multiple vendors in one building. This place is actually more like a extended stall in the middle of the place. That being said I didn't try the food but did try the deserts. The banana pudding was great and actually had a piece of banana in it. The cheese cake was only ok, it seemed like it was sitting out too long. As for the service, everything arrived promptly though I can't really give any marks here since you basically have to carry it to a communal area to eat. All in all I would like to come back and try the actual food, but won't be getting any cheese cake next time. read more
Food was amazing. I tried both the bulgogi and the lox sandwich and was impressed with both of them. Never had these type of sandwiches before. Came in the morning and there was no line at all. Both sandwiches had amazing flavor and nothing too strong at the same time. Felt like you can distinctly taste everything. The toast was nicely toasted and the vegetables felt fresh. While it is a little pricy for a sandwich it does not disappoint. read more
We got a few recommendations for this place so we wanted to make the trek out to Chantilly and try it out. Someone let me try their macarons before and they were ok but didn't really get much flavor/sweetness. It's located inside Tilly Kitchen, right in the middle of the hall. Good amount of parking and seating all around but it was late afternoon but I can see it getting packed during peak hours. We ordered a bulgogi sandwich, an avocado sandwich, a chocolate bing soo, a blue lemon-ade, and a mango-ade. The drinks and bing soo were made in the cafe area but the sandwiches look like they get made by Tilly Kitchen. Didn't take too long and they beeped us within 10 minutes. The sandwiches were aesthetically pleasing but the fillings were only ok. The bread was perfectly toasted though. The bulgogi was ok, the sauce had good flavor but was a little thin and watery, overall messy. The avocado kind of just turned to mush inside the bread, not my go to texture. The bing soo came in a cup and the syrup and toppings were just stacked at the top and got mostly ice towards the middle. Really loved the lemonades, specifically the mango-ade. They were super sweet and weren't tangy. Overall an ok experience, looks like a great place to grab a coffee or quick lunch. I'd give it another shot if I'm in the area just to try some of the other stuff. read more
Hungry stomach for a quick bite? This is the place! I've been always the fan of Korean style toast and this cafe sells exactly what I was looking for. Sweet + savory = deliciousness. Semincolon also has cup bingsoo which is not an overwhelming size for one person to enjoy bingsoo by themselves. The wait time is reasonable. I wouldn't mind trying different sandwich again. Definitely recommend :) read more

came here on a weekend while shopping in the nearby grocery store! This place is conjoined with another restaurant and has parking outside. There's dining outside and inside to sit at! The menu consist of coffee, bingsu, and sandwiches. I didn't try the coffee or bingsu but they looked good! I'll need to come back to try them. I ordered the bulgogi sandwich. The sauce on this was amazing and loved the egg/corn that was included. I didn't like the bulgogi as much as i would have like. It was on the sweeter side and was just too sweet for me. Everything else was great! I just thought the meat flavor really overpowered the sandwich. If you like sweeter meats then this would be a great option for you. Service was fast and you get the buzzer while you wait for your food. This place is a good spot to hang out and eat / catch up with friends. read more
Came here for lunch on Monday with a friend and it was prepared pretty quickly. Heard the bulgogi was good and it was indeed really good. There was also egg, lettuce, and tomato. The sandwich had a lot of flavor but since the bulgogi is marinated it got soggy at the bottom since we split the bingsoo first. The bingsoo has a lot of toppings including cheesecake, red bean, whipped cream, and a mochi layer among others. It's not icy like others I've had in the area and is really soft. Would definitely recommend getting the bingsoo after your sandwiches to prevent it from getting soggy and so your bingsoo doesn't melt. It's quickly made to order so I think they don't make bingsoo anymore if it's too close to closing so make sure to note wait too long to order your bingsoo. read more

This bulgogi sandwich blew me away! It was soooo good and exceeded my expectations. The flavors and textures were on point. The meat was juicy and flavorful, and the bread was soft and buttery. The egg was super fluffy and the creamy sauce tied everything together. Very satisfying sandwich, and not heavy at all! The sandwich presentation was so cute, but because the filling was pushed to the top of the sleeve, I ended up with a lot of bread after I finished the fillings. Just nitpicking, though! The tiramisu iced latte was delicious. I wish it was sweeter, with it being a dessert flavored drink, but that's just me and my sweet tooth. Presentation for the latte was adorable, too! Service was nice as well. Everything for my order came out together, and pretty quickly. Ambiance of the food hall was pretty nice, too. Lots of seating around. I was very impressed with Semicolon Cafe and I highly recommend it! Will definitely be coming back for more! read more

The sandwiches are sooooooo delicious! I came here with my friends on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty busy, but there was still ample seating available. We all took our first bites at the same time (lol) and agreed these sandwiches are so good! I don't even think we really stopped to talk much while we were eating them. The texture of the perfectly toasted/buttered bread slices were probably what made the experience that much better. I ordered the bulgogi, husband ordered the lox, and other friends ordered the B.E.L.T. We also got bingsoo and it was also incredibly yummy! read more
Wow. It just.. tastes like Korea haha. If you watched Hospital Playlist and wondered what the egg sandwiches that the kid (Uju) ate tasted like.. go try these looll. The sandwiches look small but they're super filling! If you're not sure what to try, i recommend trying the bulgogi (marinated beef) one. Tiramisu latte (also very famous) is sweet enough without the overly chocolatey sweet flavor, which i appreciated. Perfect for a hot day :) The only downside i would say is that the bread will get soggy quite quickly, so make sure you eat it as quickly as possible. Indoor seating: a bit of an open space like a food court; also has a couple glass rooms with doors so i do think it's good for parties/ groups, too. For the price point, it's an amazing quick meal and i'd totally recommend! read more

Unfortunately did not come here for the sandwiches and just got the drink. Drink was still great though! Matcha can be a little stronger at first, but once you get used to it, it's quite tasty. Interior is aesthetic and there's plenty of seating, even when there's so many people. They give you a buzzer for your order. It shares a space with another Asian food place so look for the semicolon sign if you get confused. read more
yummy place for some delicious egg toast, bingsoo, and drinks. there's also another sushi place that sells ramen, sushi, and stews there. i got the bulgogi and shroom toasts and mango bingsoo. the sandwich was pretty big and the bread was light and toasted. the shroom egg toast however dripped and then towards the end got soggy, there was cheese on it though which was delicious. the mango bingsoo was ok though ill come back to try their other flavors like strawberry. overall, id recommend for a lite meal or snack! edit: THEY STOP SERVING EGG TOAST AT 7:30pm so beware if you want to eat dinner here as you'll get here at 726 and there options will disappear from their menu and they stop serving read more
TLDR: Amazing breakfast sandwiches with a Korean flair. Come for the bulgogi egg sandwich and macaroons. Vibe: 5/5. Semicolon operates out of the Tilly's Kitchen storefront which offers plenty of space for groups and solo diners. Modern decor is both eye catching and functional. This would be a great place to set up shop for a day of remote computer work. Service: 5/5. We were in a hurry so we placed our order for pickup over the phone. Staff was more than accommodating and when we arrived, our food was hot and ready for pickup. Food: 5/5. We ordered the bulgogi egg sandwich which was a real show stopper. The egg was perfectly cooked (pillowy soft scrambled eggs) that paired well with the sweet bulgogi. The beef was fork tender with the perfect ratio to egg and cheese all sandwiched between crunchy Texas toast. Semicolon also makes macaroons in house which we ended up impulse buying at checkout. The creme brulee macaroon was perfectly executed with a crispy caramelized outside and soft creamy inside. Highly recommend! read more
Stopped by on our way camping for some breakfast & coffee.... Didn't know what to expect and ended up picking up some dessert at 8:30 AM too! Very cute little cafe located inside tillys! Let's start with the sandwich ... nicely toasted, fresh veggies, beautifully packed and the flavor of the sauce and bulgogi complemented each other so well! Being Korean, the flavor was spot on! Not too salty or sweet. 10/10 The latte, your usual but he tailored my drink perfectly the way I ordered! The macarons ... the best I've had and I've had them at some specialty shops! So chewy and the texture was consistent and the flavors were on point ! You really tasted each of the flavor profiles without it being weird tasting or over powering. The crème brûlée was my favorite! Each are $3.50 but I think that's comparable to other places and they're slightly bigger with more filling IMO. read more
Wowww super cute sandwiches!! Not only do they look super cute but they are delicious! First off, the bread is so fluffy and buttery! My boyfriend and I ordered 3 different sandwiches (the bulgolgi, chicken, and belt). All the sandwiches were packed with flavor especially the bulgolgi and chicken. My boyfriends personal favorite was the chicken while i like something more simple which was the belt. We also tried the matcha and tiramisu drink. The matcha was okay, i would probably pass on this. But the tiramisu???? HIGHLY recommend trying this drink out. We also ordered banana pudding to share and i love how there are bananas and nilla wafers inside, order this one as well. read more

Yum! Located inside Tilly Kitchen. You can't go wrong with their Bulgogi Sandwich, Tiramisu Latte, and Macarons. Everything about this sandwich is delicious. The bread was incredibly fresh, fluffy, and slightly sweet. The sliced bulgogi was juicy and flavorful. The egg was also very fluffy and just melts in your mouth. Fresh slice of tomato and lettuce. The sauces used were creamy, slightly sweet, and savory. Nothing was overly salty. Excellent! Pair this with a Tiramisu Latte and you're good to go. Their macarons are well made. Quality ingredients are definitely used. Can't wait to try some of their other menu items. Delicious food all around. read more
Semicolon Cafe is located in Tilly Kitchen. I ordered the bulgogi sandwich. The sandwich is aesthetically pleasing, very instagrammable. The taste was ok though and a little too sweet to my liking. The bulgogi, bread, and sauce were all sweet. I'd probably choose a more savory sandwich next time. I tried a bite of my friend's banana pudding. Reminds me of Magnolia Bakery's famous banana pudding. Super delicious. read more
The bulgogi sandwich was phenomenal and easily one of the tastiest sandwiches I've ever had. Chantilly is at least a 30 minute drive from where I live, but I'd be down to go again just to get one of these delicious egg sandwiches. The brioche bread was fluffy and delicious. Despite it being a bit thicc, I didn't feel like there was "too much bread" because it had more than just the typical boring bakery bread taste. The bulgogi had a sweet marinade that was delicious and the quality of the meat was excellent. The egg was phenomenal; it was extremely fluffy and I felt like I was biting into a cloud. There was also a creamy and slightly sweet sauce that was drizzled on the egg. You get a bit of everything in this sandwich - sweet, savory, and creamy. Lots of flavors going on that blended well together in this very tasty sandwich. Surprisingly, the sandwich was a bit smaller than expected and I wasn't 100% full from it. But I'm personally fine with that. I hate being messy while eating, but I did not care that this sandwich created a small mess because it's worth it. I chowed down the sandwich with very few issues even though it was a bit difficult to get a full bite (it was real thiccc). I'd 100% recommend the bulgogi sandwich here. At first, we had thought this was a stand-alone place. We were thrilled that it's inside some sort of a food hall. Apparently, from what we read, their sister food hall is Pike Kitchen in Rockville. This place only had Semicolon and another Asian spot. My daughter and I have been wanting to try Korean toast. The wait was not too long. Honestly, I didn't mind the wait because it was made to order. For 2 toasts and 2 drinks, it was around $40. At first, I had thought it to be too pricey; however, I had to pass my toast to 3 other adults in order to finish one toast. This sandwich was hefty! It was heavy. Tons of bulgogi beef, marinated to perfection . The bun was nice and toasted. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy. The drink was alright. We ended up not drinking it. Overall, we were happy with our purchase. I'm looking forward to trying more of their other toasts! read more
These egg sandwiches are not only picture-perfect but very flavorful (pleasantly surprised). Instantly fell in love with their iconic design/presentation and delicious taste. We ordered avocado sandwiches and chicken sandwiches with different sauces. Their paprika sauce complement avocado and eggs very well, and their kiwi sauce is very unique and yummy. I normally do not like sandwiches, but fluffy scrambled eggs with green leaf lettuce and other ingredients all wrapped together in a toasted brioche bread was SUPERB. The sandwiches are served in a paper box (eco friendly - love it!) with a minimalistic design that makes the sandwiches more scrumptious. Tried this place for the first time yesterday and loved it! There's plenty of parking outside. The cafe itself is inside another restaurant. The vibe is super cute and casual. I ordered the Pistachio Latte and wow was it amazing! It had the perfect amount of pistachio flavor. My sisters ordered the Tiramisu Latte and the Very Berry Smoothie. The tiramisu latte was so good too, if you like a strong coffee flavor definitely order this latte. The smoothie was delicious as well! Tasted very refreshing. The earl grey macaron was to die for! Everything was so delicious The employees are nice as well and our drinks came out fast. They are knowledgeable about what is inside the drinks if you have any questions. It wasn't super busy when I went so I didn't wait that long. They have a self-kiosk too to order from. I definitely will be coming back to try out their sandwiches read more
Tucked away in a shopping center, we stopped by for a quick bite! For about $10/sandwich, it was good but rather steep. I would've liked a bit more beef bulgolgi in the sandwich. The flavor was good and the brioche bread was super fluffy! Being that the bread was so fluffy, it needed more filling to balance it out imo. The spicy chicken was actually better, loved the seasoning on it. read more

Do you have wifi so i can work from there?
As I recall, yes, they have WiFI. But this place always seems to be busy and relatively noisy. I do not recall seeing any power plugs. Plus, the tables are basically picnic tables with no back support. I would not recommend this as a work location.
Are the hours consistent? Do they close for a bit midday? I encountered this once and want to see if that is a regular thing. Thank you!
When I called their hours were 11-9pm. They stop taking orders at 745.
