So, couple days pass and I don't see any changes. Patience is not my virtue and I'm sure many can relate to the frustration of not having what you paid for, but to keep the Mrs. Happy, I keep my mouth shut and decided to just let it go. The next day, it kicked in and I couldn't move my forehead or make those lines around my eyes. It has now been almost 5 months since I had it done and I can still see the effect and I'm going to continue doing it. Heck, I might even try some laser hair removal one of these days. Even though I am happy with the outcome of the Botox, my review is to applaud Avalon Medical Spa on their customer service. About a week after the appointment, Julia called to follow up and see if I had any questions or concerns. And just yesterday I received another call. She said she knew I lived out of town and couldn't come in again, but offered to take some time to find a good doctor in my area and send him my treatment records to make sure i received the same results and thank me again for coming in. It wasn't done correct. I don't think he did a neck and face plane lift. I didn't feel tightness or any pain, but I looked like a monster. Left with scars I followed every post-op instruction to the letter: all the massages, care, everything. I was never told to wear a headband or compression garment (which I've since learned is common for better neck/jaw contouring in these procedures). The results? There's barely any noticeable difference, especially in my neck and jawline--that was the main reason I did this in the first place. I had some complications during recovery with my face, nerves , which added to the frustration. I don't think he did what I paid for. I think he cut me and left me scared and that's it. This cost me $$$$$, and now I'm in the process of consulting other surgeons to try and fix/revise what was done. It's heartbreaking because your face is what you present to the world every day, and you deserve to feel confident and happy with it. My advice to anyone considering facial surgery: * Do thorough research beyond just the website and office explanations. * Look for plenty of recent, high-quality before-and-after photos (not just old ones). * Trust your gut--if something feels off, pause and explore other options. * Don't rush; waiting for the right surgeon is worth it. Also, he explains EVERYTHING... from the science behind the product, to the anatomy of the injection site, to his injection technique... he will go into great detail and doesn't rush through the appointment. Currently I have no more growth of coarse black hair at all and only patchy thin hair. I don't have to shave until I go to my next appointment. It takes about 8-12 sessions that you do every 4-6 weeks. Is there pain? The underarms are very tolerable, I almost don't pay attention to it even at the highest setting. However, the Brazilian, oh man, you can get sweaty from the session and sometimes you have to ask them to give you a break buuuut I will take the few seconds of pain for not shaving and would still recommend laser to everyone even in this sensitive area.
