I love you Mr grouper (Aka Marlin From Finding Nemo)

The food is so good here. Great quality and such an enormous variety. When I went they had fried chicken, sirloin steak, cod lemon aioli balls, soups, plentiful salad bar, a host of sided and desserts to complete your meal. The waitresses are always so pleasant and helpful. They never let your drink get empty either. The food was flavorful, hot, and looked fresh. This is huge for me which is why I don't eat at buffets honestly because food always looks like it has been sitting out too long. Well, not here! This place replaces food that has been sitting out quickly. I'm definitely bringing my coworkers here for a nice meal again.

If you want food that tastes like Mitch McConnell looks, which is to say succulent on the outside, dry and decaying on the inside, look no further than the senate cafeteria at Dirksen . I grabbed a slice of pepperoni pizza, that was glistening with the sheen of democracy, and also grease. My meal was surprisingly cheap, but I suspect that is because it is subsidized by tax payer dollars. I have always wondered if the government was Coke or Pepsi, and I am happy to report it is both, which happens to be the highest display of bipartisanship currently occurring in Washington. This restaurant is a little out of the way for most people, but if you are anything like me and spend your time roaming the basements of congressional offices hoping to run into Bernie so he can sign your chest, it is well worth a stop. Update, within a week of eating here I got to be in the same room as Ted Cruz, so I would rate it higher than five stars if I could

Mac and cheese, tortellini salad, and onion rings - all for under $6
    Eric Y.

Wow, the prices are really great here! It's pretty standard cafeteria food, but for the price, it's a good value. I was able to get macaroni and cheese for $1.55, tortellini salad for $1.55, and onion rings for $2.80. If you didn't want to do the math, that's a large, albeit unhealthy meal for under $6. Nothing was amazing, but it definitely will hit the spot on a busy day. Since macaroni and cheese is a touchy subject for a lot of people, the noodles are overcooked like any other cafeteria macaroni, but the sauce is thicker and cheesier than other cafeterias I've been to. I think it's worth a try! Show up before noon if you can, because literally all the staffers will show up at once. I'm sure you may see your favorite politicians dining here, but I personally wouldn't have the slightest idea what my senator looks like, even if they came up to me and slapped me in my face. But with great prices, good food, and the excitement of seeing someone famous, it's a solid deal!

LOLOL I had wings, my father had whiting, and my sister had baked chicken, and somehow all of it came out dry and I ain't even joking. Even the cornbread was dry and I love some cornbread. This café has just about anything you would want from salads to sushi to pizza to hamburgers. The pizza caught my eye and we were in a hurry so I thought I would give it a try. There were about four different types of pizza to choose from and I chose the veggie pizza maintaining my healthy eating outlook. Unfortunately, the pizza was not that good. There were plenty of vegetables, but the variety was quite limited. There were only three different types of vegetables on it, one of them being onions, which I don't like. There was a lot of cheese and the pizza was on the soggy side. The crust was average.

Anyway, it's a cafeteria, and as far as cafeterias go, it's a pretty good one. There's a lot of selection. There's a lot of turnover because for some people, this is the only thing that they can find time to buy and eat. Depending on what time of the day you're here, some of the prepared foods might be a little dried out. But again, if you're going here on a regular basis, you probably know how things work.

I may not have had the biggest variety of food here, but I have been enough to give a fair opinion. When you go inside the main entrance of the Nat Geo museum, continue straight past the elevators and through the courtyard, you'll arrive at the cafeteria on the other side to the left! They offer a variety of tacos, burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, and other items! My personal favorite is the falafel burger with sweet potato fries, if they haven't run out. This burger is a thick chickpea patty that is topped with pickled red onions, tzatziki and freshly sliced avocado (not just one slice, there's usually three or four). Places are usually stingy when it comes to avocados, so this makes me so happy! The availability of the fries is hit or miss, since the place closes at 2:00 and I usually don't get there until 1:30. They also have some snacks, drinks, plenty of condiments, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The cooks and cashiers are all friendly, and the discount that comes with working nearby really comes in handy! I am looking forward to coming back many times and trying some more food out.
