Went in for St. Patrick's day. Probably the worst lunch I've ever had. Got the corn beef and wings. Both sucked and were way too salty.

Pretty decent selection for a workplace cafeteria. I had the sake bar and hot soup. Convenient location.

This café has just about anything you would want from salads to sushi to pizza to hamburgers. The pizza caught my eye and we were in a hurry so I thought I would give it a try. There were about four different types of pizza to choose from and I chose the veggie pizza maintaining my healthy eating outlook. Unfortunately, the pizza was not that good. There were plenty of vegetables, but the variety was quite limited. There were only three different types of vegetables on it, one of them being onions, which I don't like. There was a lot of cheese and the pizza was on the soggy side. The crust was average.

This is clearly not the kind of place you go to if you're just randomly walking around the city. Anyway, it's a cafeteria, and as far as cafeterias go, it's a pretty good one. There's a lot of selection. There's a lot of turnover because for some people, this is the only thing that they can find time to buy and eat. Depending on what time of the day you're here, some of the prepared foods might be a little dried out. But again, if you're going here on a regular basis, you probably know how things work.

Chicken and waffles meal was really delicious! The farmer's scramble was really nice as well, and it had a ton of vegetables. Really loved the vegetarian options! Breakfast is available all day. Pop tart was so delicious that we got two more to go. Enjoyed the blueberry, peach, and cherry. These are rotated out seasonally! The strawberry milkshake was a nice portion and they even brought out the extra in another glass.

Google led me to Ted's, which is both a sit-down restaurant, but also a cafe/bakery in the front. I had an iced Americano, and asked for a tiny, tiny splash of half & half. I also had a strawberry "poptart". The "poptart" was pretty good. When my coffee came out, it was white. Literally, white. It was whiter than the iced chai latte with whole milk that my husband had gotten. I had to send it back. I asked for it just black this time around, because I just didn't trust them to get "a splash" right. They were willing to do it, which was nice. The coffee was good, but it just wasn't what I had originally wanted.

I usually stick with tofu, noodles, and vegetables, and it does the trick. They also do some pretty good fried chicken wings and hush puppies, too though. Not great for vegans, as not all ingredients are listed, some items are often mislabeled and actually contain animal products, and the few core items they do offer change (the addition of egg or cheese, for example). Definitely appreciate the discount after 2 p.m. and I wish the overall prices were a bit lower. It's not like you are really saving money by eating here. However, there's nothing that great in the area to eat, so I don't mind coming here, as I'm not really missing out on anything else.

Of course, you need your government badge to enter the building, but at least if you don't work in this particular building, security here isn't nearly as "YOU HEARD ME...SPREAD YOUR CHEEKS AND LIFT YOUR SACK!" as the HUD building--I never knew HUD was that crucial to national security or anything. But I digress. This place has a large selection: hot/cold bars, deli section, pizza, burgers made-to-order, blah-blah-blah. The salad bar is pretty damn good too. However, for some reason, I always gravitate toward the carved turkey and mashed potatoes. I don't know why--I mean, it's okay and all, but...hmm. Whatever. *Warning* This place is pretty expensive, so don't let anyone fool you. You can easily drop $10-13 without blinking...on a salad and a Snapple! That's probably why I often forget about this place. Decent food though.
