This is my second and final negative interaction with Michelle Hules, the mid level provider at the Ming Ave location. Both times she was abrasive and spoke over the top of me. I also work in the healthcare industry and I also have the same education level as Michelle. Unfortunately her personality is what it is and will likely not change. However, we are not in the 1980's anymore when horrible bedside manners are well tolerated. To my understanding Michelle needs to complete CEU's as part of her ongoing licensure requirements and might I suggest a few courses on strengthening communication techniques and motivational interviewing skills? I went to Sendas after speaking to a provider through Teladoc at 7 this morning. The Teladoc provider stated I needed a chest X-ray and that he believed it was a viral pneumonia. So I took myself and my mother to the urgent care because she had already been ill for a few days. We were the first two there this morning and the support staff were lovely and got us checked in quickly. The wait was fine. No issues there. But once Michelle came in she presented as condescending and uninterested in listening to more than 3 words at a time before she started speaking over the top of me. When I would try to respond it was met with "well then go to the ER" "Well that's my opinion and I worked in the ER" By the way Michelle it's kind of obvious you worked in the ER because of how you behave toward patients....not everyone is drug seeking or malingering and you present in a manner that suggests that's how you view your patients as a whole. Maybe consider going into a position where you work alone and don't actually see clients face to face or interact with them directly at all. I don't disagree with the diagnosis necessarily but I strongly disagree with how you spoke to myself and my mother. If you're truly confident in your abilities as a provider then you can do so with kindness instead of being brash and ugly when people are already feeling awful in the first place. read more

Wanted to follow up on the inadequate care and judgement made by the female zPA or Dr who gave me poor service by not examining me. I went to Dr Matkovic next day and it turned out after X-rays that I have vertical stenosis after the titanium screw broke from the whip lash caused by the accident. First let me say that the front office staff was great, and the medical assistant and nurse were also great. The medical provider was not. She came in, and I am not exaggerating when I say she spent under 2 minutes with my daughter who had been sick for 2 weeks. She listened to her back, looked in her nose and throat, and said it's a virus, I'll give her steroids. I said we're concerned it's a sinus infection, and we're not interested in steroids. She then said there's nothing I can do then, she'll just have to wait it out and left. She acted as if we were inconveniencing her. Well I went here multiple times in the past , from being in pain for back issues and taking family here for wrist issues. Lorrie was always great. First time seeing Dr Ngo not so much thrilled with him. He didn't even introduce himself. He was argumentative, lazy, did not listen to my needs or requests I had two issues and he only worked on one and he was half ass doctor on that. All he had to do was refill my meds which were non narcotic. Told me he is only going to do it once! Like I'm some kind of drug seeker (I love going to urgent care on the weekend to get meds that are a necessity for me and paying a higher copay before a tropical storm). Thanks Sherlock. Couldn't get in to see my doctor until after the new year; so, I went to Senda's Urgent Care on Ming. Checking in was easy; only having to fill out info related to my visit (on a tablet). There were a number of people in the waiting room; so, I did have to wait a little while. But, when called back, I was seen by the doctor pretty quickly. Dr Ngo was friendly and thorough. These people nearly killed me. They ave me an injection of a drug to which I am allergic. It was in my chart. I told them I was allergic. Doc said to take some Benadryl and sleep it off. I ended up in the emergency room with anaphylaxis. This resulted in nearly $3000 in out of pocket medical expenses to me. I tried working with the staff at this UC but they will no longer respond to my calls or emails. I'd give them 0 stars if possible. Don't go here. read more

Husband and I waited for hours to be seen with an appointment to be test for COVID. Then they send my daughter my husband results Knowing that I was waiting for the results. Not only are they rude. But when request a note to show work we tested positive. They made me wait another 2-3 hours outside in the cold just for the note to be seen again by a dr. Tried to get my daughter in for an appointment, you have to do it through email. So Emailed them filled out all the things and sent them my insurance information. They text me back saying wait till they respond and it has been 5 days, still no response. My friend made an appointment after me and got in before my daughter. We visited sendas because my husband was in incredible pain for his swollen knee. Sendas was great. From the front office staff giving me a wheelchair, to the staff who helped him with X-rays a steroid shot. He was better in a couple of days. They were very knowledgeable,kind and helpful. 2:45 pm check in and was told to wait in my car to be called. I get a text at 4 pm asking me to return at 4:45 because the doctor is taking a lunch. I return at 4:45 and get called into a room at 5. It is now 6:10 and we are still waiting in a room to be seen by the doctor. 3.5 hours waiting with a child with high fever is not ok. I heard from a different patient that they also gave them the lunch excuse and 3 hours later was told the same that the doctor was going to lunch. This is usually my " Go to" urgent care". Dr. Ngo is thorough, kind, and takes time with all questions and rest of The staff is generally good. I would've typically given them a 4 or 5 star rating based on all my previous experiences but after a recent visit I feel compelled to give them a 1 star or less. 2 days ago I took my 2 daughters in to be checked for flu like symptoms/ or Covid (fevers, congestion, cough). The wait wasn't awful considering there were a few families ahead of us. We waited about an hour in the car and luckily the weather is cool enough to sit with the windows open. Once we were called back their vitals were taken and we were in room quickly. So far so good. The doctor (not Dr. Gno) came in within couple minutes. He seemed too busy to be bothered to actually do any sort of exam! He put a stethoscope on my oldest daughter had her cough once and said "ya she sounds sick" and moved on to the next daughter. Stethoscope and cough for the next daughter and said "she sounds fine". As he's opening the door to leave he says "this one could use tamilfu that one can't. She can go to school today" and walked out. I had to go out and ask for them to be tested for COVID, and they were out of flu tests. One daughter is doing a bit better but I have to take my youngest back to urgent care as her symptoms have gotten worse now :( I will not be returning to this urgent care again unless I know that we will see Dr NGO! Do yourself a favor don't go here, there are a lot better choices for urgent care. I had terrible experience here, the first and only time. The front desk is rude and callous. The appointment too way too long for a minor problem. Then when I asked the front desk clerk Missy, for information she rolled her eyes and sighed. Then I saw a guy ask to see his spouse, and they said their policy was not to let people back, they didn't even attempt to ask the patient. We went here for Covid tests to travel. I confirmed multiple times that we would have the results before we needed them. Unfortunately, these guys completely screwed us and our vacation. They did not get us our results until they re-opened on Monday morning and we were removed from our Sunday flight. This cost us over $600 in change fees from the airline! I took my son to get tested for a throat infection and they prescribed him some amoxicillin medication. He had been on the medication for 2 days until I called back and requested a follow-up visit so they can change out his medication. I asked if I would have to pay another Urgent Care copay being the medication they prescribe for my son is not working my son started breaking out with a rash and had a side effect to that medication/allergic reaction to the amoxicillin. When asked if my son can see the doctor again they said I would have to pay another $70 Urgent Care copay again being it's a new symptom when my son originally went in for a throat infection. Mind you this is a phone call follow up I'm just trying to get better meds that work for my son so he gets better. We didn't ask for a medication reaction we just want things just to be made right. They could have took it into consideration being the medication they prescribed you would think because it was an original visit they can prescribe a new medication. But no. So I didn't go back and will never go back. They just want your money. Not Good. read more

I've been here before many times due to the convenience of the location, but I never leave feeling reassured that the doctors there really take the time to help their patients. Today, there was one person before me in the waiting room, and I waited about 40 minutes. After finally getting called in, the doctor sees me for about 2 minutes, telling me they have no tests for my symptoms but proceeded to tell me I might have this or that and prescribed antibiotics. I could tell he was in a hurry even though the waiting room was empty. And then I decided to go to centric urgent care, and they ran the tests for peace of mind and to properly treat my conditions. The doctor stated I did not need any antibiotics. I am never returning to Sendas again. The pharmacy employees I went to for my medication also had a similar experience, and told me they don't want to ever go back to Sendas. read more

I tell them I have had ear pressure on one side for 23 days and then started eyes watering major pressure on one side for last 3 days. First thing you just have covid. Get a clue and don't upset sick people by ignoring the actual symptoms. Your job is to listen. Nurse freaking out because I was in Spain and got back 23 days ago that does not equal just got back. Had you listened you would have heard my ear pressure which started when I got to Spain on May 28th never went away and I had to have a covid test to get back to US. Which would mean in your world I had covid while in Spain and before I got there even though tested day before visit and to get back to US and it lasted from May 28th to June 23 with no symptoms other than bad pressure in left ear. So sick and tired of people in medical field failing to actually listen and jumping to covid. Sinus pressure and pain on one side and no other symptoms for almost a month is not covid its called a sinus infection. Just listen to your patient. According to the CDC Mayo clinic and several other reliable sources it would be highly highly unlikely for conjunctivitis to be the only covid sypmtom and only occurs rarely in covid patients. Don't shame your patients. You are expected to know these things and how very very unlikely it was possible for my symptoms to be linked to covid. You totally shamed me thst the only thing possible was covid when I had one rare covid symptom and zero of the usual. No covid here. Took home test. Pay attention and properly treat your patients. Begging to be treated for my real issue and still being told it must be covid totally unacceptable poorest treatment ever. read more
