Alright I love this place. The name says it all because it's the the perfect in and our place for all of your needs. Though the selection is definitely smaller than your average, full-size Sendik's there is still plenty to pick from. They've got all of your staples for food, drink (alcoholic and non), and convenience items (i.e. dish soap, toilet paper, etc). Plus, so many fresh options for an easy meal, including rotating hot bar, fresh fruit veg, and more. I will say however, it's on the expensive side. I have to tell myself to not be surprised my the total at check-out. I've not long just moved to the area and already popped into this place plenty of times. Didn't have time to make dinner - stopped in for a quick pick up. On the way to my brother's house for a Packer game - stopped in to choose from their very vast beer, wine, and liquor sections. Hosted friends at our house - stopped in to grab some ready-made apps. Had a hungry toddler while on the go - stopped in for snacks. It's also conveniently connected to a gas station with plenty of pumps. The store itself is very nice as well. Super clean and updated interior. Everything is nicely presented. We bought deli items. Mock crab, potato salad, tortellini. The tortellini was okay, but the mock crab was mushy and tasteless. Besides that, the potatoes were hard and the item had very little flavor. Outpost's deli is fresh, healthy, and flavorful. I can't help but wonder why Sendiks isn't learning from them. We like having Sendiks2Go so close to us whenever we run out of something, but I do not recommend the deli. Been burnt too many times. Otherwise, Sendiks is a fine store. read more

When one thinks of Fresh to Go, one would think everything was made fresh to go. I live in walking distance. Everything is at least 1 day old, never fresh. Sometimes 2 days old. Read the labels. Bread should be baked that same morning and yet day old bread at fresh bread pricing = not good. read more

Sendik's you make 7-11 envious. I like quickie in and outie places like this but this one made me stay a little longer because of all the choices. (Not a bad thing) I got gas then I got beers and granola bars, Lays. Nice beer and wine selection along with the convenience of easy in and easy out. The staff are friendly. I complained under my breath about how tight the beers were stocked in the coolers but it makes sense as a retailer to fit as much into the coolers. The place looks like they maximized every square inch to give the best products available with a tiny footprint. Prices were a bit more higher but not outrageous. The prepared food section was clean and well stocked. For a quick meal. Parking can be scarce along with the traffic being shared with the gas station on the same corner. Nice remodel! I'm impressed. Now a true high end mini grocery store, this location of the Sendiks family caters to the in-and-out crowd with a flair for quality. Overpriced as always, I can still see myself using this site for a quick lunch option or a "I need to pick it up" at the last moment kinda thing. The staff is friendly and have personalities unlike their bigger Fresh Market rival across the street. Very informative too. I found out they have build your own omelets and other breakfast items early in the morning. Take advantage of the small nook in the corner to grab a bite and get some work done. While they don't have everything, they have the staples that one would need. From meat, to the bakery, to sandwiches, sushi, soups and rock star salad bar, consider these an easy way to find what you need in a pinch. read more

So I pulled in here needing a little bit of gas to make sure I had plenty to get on the other side of Milwaukee and this is not just a gas station although there prices are comprable to the BP kitty corner. It also happens to be a full-service gourmet grocery complete with yuppie women with grocery baskets walking through. This place is the bomb! Great job on the remodel. I was able to tour the entire location during the auction for the previous PDQ store, I can't believe I used to eat from there. The remodel was way over due!! The selection of pre-made foods is vast. They seem to cater to the lunch crowd with much more than just salads, sandwiches & soups. I particularly like the bakery selection, they stepped up their game compared to PDQ. Be sure to try the cinnamon roll / bun. It's the best I've ever had! The staff is friendly & attentive, much better than the competitor, Fresh Plus, just across the street. Parking is ample with easy in & out access. read more

The business is as good as its employees. I stopped by to get gas at Sendik's, and a loaf of bread. Easy, right? The gas pump instructed me to get the receipt inside - not a big deal. I went to the first register , and asked where I can get the gas receipt. The cashier told me she is busy now, and I have to wait. I waited. She waived me to another register, but that cashier did not speak English. So I went to the next register, and was told to go back to the first one. 15 minutes later, I was back to where I started. The original cashier said she needs to "fix the machine." She cussed, fussed and huffed, doing some unknown procedure to the machine, while I waited. Finally, she got up - and left. No apology, no explanation. I guess she had enough of me, and of her job. I left too, without bread or my receipt. Congratulations on saving money by hiring at the bottom of the job market. read more

OK, since my first review about 4 years ago they've had a complete turn-around. Great interior that's easy to shop and check out, great merchandising, great produce. Great bakery and prepared foods. Easy in - easy out. Expensive, but if time is money, it's worth it. This location is all about convenience and they've succeeded. ------------------ Pretty dismal. It's really convenient but Ill only go there in an emergency, and now that Fresh Market opened right across the street I doubt if I'll go to Sendik's Bayside again. The bakery is really really horrible. Not even a little appealing. Sendik's on Oakland Ave, on the other hand, has superb bakery. You'd think the residents of Fox Point would demand better. But my real issue is with the produce. They wait WAY too long to dump old stuff. Wrinkled green peppers and corn with dimples is common. And theyre selling that at full price. But get this - they have a last chance rack with markdowns. That stuff I wouldn't even feed to an animal. Cucumbers that are leaking. Soft, wrinkled peppers. Bruised fruit. Slimy lettuce. Sets a bad tone for the whole store. when Fresh Market did their market research I'm sure it came back "no competition in the area " read more

This place is great after the remodel! I haven't been here since the remodel so I went the other day to check it out after work. The layout is very similar to what it was in the past yet they stepped up their game with the service, presentation, and different stations to make it feel more like a Whole Foods. In the center you have an area that makes fresh take and bake pizzas, fresh deserts, and much more. The meat selection is right across from this island of goodies. In the back there is around 6 aisles of food, which is quite limited compared to other Sendik's locations yet understand this is part of the Sendik's On the Go type of store. Over the by cash registers you will find around 6 coolers with a pretty extensive selection of beer with a rack of wine and spirits behind that. The place was overstaffed that felt a bit crowded yet really liked the clean, revised look of this location. read more

Sendik's hot food bar - don't bother. High prices, low quality, poor service... After avoiding the Sendik's food bar for 6 week because of their low quality, I thought I'd try again today. Bad choice: pizza burnt fast to the holding tray, enchiladas also burnt to the tray, no condiments out (at 11:45am). Most the other food looked similarly dried to a crisp - except for the chicken which appeared watery. While paying for my watery chicken I asked to speak to a manager, but the casher couldn't find the manager - go figure. Yeah, Sendik's has been riding on reputation for a long while. But they no longer live up to that reputation. Too bad - guess I'll move on to Metro Mart. read more

There are so many businesses in this area, that I find this place helpful. It cateers to the lunch crowd... go-to salads, sandwiches, soups, and so much more. All I have tried are full-flavored and worth the price tag. The staff is so easy to be around and helpful. Sendiks is great, but this location is consistently terrible.Quality and staff are horrible. MANY expired (months expired) items on the shelves, moldy cheese, bad meat, etc. etc. etc. Staff is not friendly and seems to be inconvenienced by people shopping here. why have carts available, if you don't want people to shop for groceries? I have voiced my concerns to corporate, but never received a response, which is very disappointing. read more

So easy. It's amazing the quality and options that Sendik's is able to put in such a small footprint. Fresh fruits and vegetables, Full grab and go meals, frozen, meat, seafood, sushi, dairy, beer, wine, liquor etc. the selection doesn't compare with their full stores but is impressive. I can't believe it's not more crowded like the WFB location but I won't complain. Great for a quick stop on the way home. read more

I stopped there to buy gas and walked into the most GREATEST gas station in the world. It was like a mini high class store. They have a meat. fish market, fruit, veggies, bakery, hot food bar, salad and olive bar. Remember, this is a gas station. LOVED IT! My only problem is that it is a little expensive. I would not do my regular shopping there but if I wanted to dress up a meal I would go there. They has nice breakfast sand which that is at a decent price. The bathroom was clean, polite and helpful staff. read more

Given the price of groceries at other food stores in the Milwaukee area, I feel Sendik's gives me the best "bang for my buck"! The produce is always fresh, the meat dept. is to die for and the bakery, well, it simply delicious. What I like best about the Sendik's stores is that they are Milwaukee owned and operated. Just walked out with no purchase because I was totally ignored at two different counters due to employees chatting with each other. Tried to get their attention but couldn't break their inrense conversations. Guess I raise the bar too high for customer service. Walked over to the bakery kiosk, but a majority of the shelves were empty. Poor management.... read more
