They were great--they came right away and provided a lovely full-time caregiver who really cared about my mom. When she was back on her feet in independent senior living, we continued to use Visiting Angels to help in the morning and dinnertime. When she moved to Assisted Living in that facility, she needed extra help in the morning to shower, get dressed and eat breakfast and lunch. Visiting Angels was there no matter the need. The caregivers are professional, kind, caring and responsible. Special shout out to Betsy and Jackie who my mom adored because not only did they help but they were great company for her. I believe the great care she received from Visiting Angels was responsible for helping my mom live to 102 with all her faculties intact. The ower, Steve, and the office staff, especially Donna, were always responsive even after hours and extremely helpful with whatever issue arose. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this agency. I guess that she didn't like to change diapers either. Because she didn't know how to change one correctly. I do not recommend her. Get a camera if she is used to take care of someone with dementia. We started using Helpers at Home Care in September of 2022. The first Aid was very bad. Very…read moreunkempt and lazy. Only lasted 3 days. The second was very good and experienced. We were told she had to go on leave so mom was assigned another Aid. Then another and another and another.... Finally in October 2022 we finally got a fantastic Aid named Dana. My mom loved her and they got along great! . It was the perfect fit. Then January of 2023 the Aid needed surgery. Based on past experience, we requested no replacement Aid during her two weeks away. On her return she informed us she would be leaving the Agency. Helpers At Home Care had cut her pay down to the equivalent of a fast food worker. She had been working for this Agency for over 20 years!! Longer than the present owner had even owned Agency! Reason given by the owner, She'd been overpaying her for 4 months. REALLY?? We asked if there could be something worked out to keep her with the Agency. The owner, Zena, proposed a rate increase for my mom that amounted to $49.00 per hour which now included transportation and gas. Up till now the Agency had been paying the Aids transportation and gas expenses . This amounted to $14.00 MORE per hour. How could my 97 year old mother on Social Security afford that? She couldn't. After being assigned 2 more Aids in just two shifts, we realized the nightmare of bait and switch was starting all over again. We were fed up with the lack of honesty, communication or none at all. Just sending warm bodies, whether good or bad, who might show up or might not. Who came late or left early... , it didn't seem to matter . The Agency got their money anyway and so did their aids. No accountability. SHAME!! WE TERMINATED HELPERS AT HOME CARE and are now with a highly professional Agency that TRULY CARES about the care they give and not just about the money they receive. My mom is getting professional loving care, and is very happy. She has only ONE AID coming who is wonderful with her. The nightmare is over!!!!

I had my first acupuncture session with Eileen at Advanced PMR in Manalapan on Friday. I have had…read moreseveral acupuncture sessions with different people throughout the last two years. The procedure was robotic. They came into the room, placed needles in my body, left, and returned to remove the needles, and sent me on my way. My session with Eileen was not only about placing the needles in my body. Before we started she discussed how our body's energy can get blocked and how acupuncture can help. She also used e stim with the needles. I recently went through a stressful situation. I have been in a lot of pain in my upper back and neck area. With just one session my range of motion has increased and I was able to sleep without the back pain I have been experiencing. I can skip the chiropractor visit as well. I am feeling things move back into place. When Eileen removed the needles she also massaged my neck and upper back where I was experiencing the most pain. It was the best acupuncture experience that I have had. I am looking forward to our next session.
