Not knowing the first thing about these facilities, I reached out to Alan Brauner at Senior Seasons. I can't even begin to explain how helpful he was. He listened to our situation, provided me with insight and contact information on the local facilities, explained what I needed to know, and what to consider when reaching out to these prospective places. His advice was invaluable. He was always there for me, whenever I had questions. He was super responsive, emailing back or calling right away. And through this process my mom kept changing her mind about where she wanted to live (mid-peninsula near her friends, south bay near me), and so our requirements kept changing. Through it all Alan was patient and positive - something I really needed during this stressful time. I seriously have no idea how I would have handled this whole situation without him. All Seasons Homecare was highly recommended to me by my attorney so I gave them a call. I talked with the owner, Lou Ann. She explained how everything worked and answered all of my questions. I knew after talking to her that my mother-in-law would be in good hands. This place is top notch and so professional. I used All Seasons for 11 days. In that time, all the caregivers showed up on time and gave excellent care to my mother-in-law. At the end of each shift, the caregiver would write up a summary of their visit online, letting me know how my mother-in-law was doing and how the visit went. These notes were very insightful. I appreciate how if there are any problems or questions you can contact Honor, the company All Seasons partners with, 24 hours a day. Very reassuring. Everything went smoothly and I would highly recommend All Seasons/Honor. Are they expensive? Yes. Are they worth it? Absolutely!!!! When you need homecare done right, this is the place to contact! We were given very short notice that mom was going to be released but Lou Ann and Christina met with us and mom to get better acquainted with her and her needs. Shortly after mom got home she had a virtual meeting with a therapist and with no way to conduct this meeting, Christina drove to the home to personally assist with the process. Above and beyond! An urgent staffing issue arose late on a Sunday evening while I was sitting in an airport so I called the 24 hour service number and within minutes I received a call back that the issue was resolved, another example of All Season's commitment to provide the best possible care to their clients and their families. All of the Health Care Professionals assigned to help mom have been very helpful, patient and kind (and mom can be a handful at times:) ) I also very much appreciate the fact that I receive daily reports once the homecare visit is complete that summarizes the visit. Living out of state this is beyond helpful. After reading the reports and finding out about doctor visits or therapist visits that occurred I am able to contact mom and discuss the visit, etc. Without hesitation I would recommend this organization for anyone who is in need of homecare services. The entire organization from Lou Ann and Christina to the personnel answering the 24 hour "hotline" is in my mind, without a doubt, the best homecare service available. Living out of state I am unable to oversee mom's care on a daily basis, but, in my opinion, All Season's professionalism coupled with their compassion reassures me that mom is receiving the next best thing to a family member being there

They were not only attentive to her comfort and symptoms, but they also took the time to support our family, answer our questions, and help us understand what to expect. Their presence brought reassurance during moments that were very hard for us. What stood out most was the humanity of the care. My mother was treated as a person, not simply as a patient. The nurses and hospice staff were respectful, responsive, and compassionate, and we always felt that her comfort and dignity were their priority. Hospice care is something no family ever hopes to need, but when the time came, I was very thankful that my mother was surrounded by people who cared for her with such tenderness and professionalism. I will always be grateful to the entire team for the care they provided to my mother and the support they gave our family.

If you are looking for a service that requires lifting from bed to wheelchair - their aides refuse this service. Our mom should be given bath or shower 2x a week. Nurse should show up 3x/week but only showed up 2x in the 3 week period. Our mom was only given bed bath only 2x during the 3-week period. DO NOT EVEN THINK of contracting their services. Very poor customers service. NOT GOOD!

Providence is ideally suited for late-state dementia cases. Its caregivers are experienced, caring, and tuned in to the unique challenges that come with severe dementia. I especially like Providence Place's pricing model in that they don't gouge you with added costs for every little thing; their pricing is clear upfront. Fresh meals are provided daily, music and light exercise therapy are woven into the weekly routine, and opportunities given to residents to enjoy the fresh air outside. It's never easy seeing the irreversible march of this horrible disease on loved ones. But knowing my mom and the other residents at Providence are getting great care, is so comforting!

Providence Place is a loving place with excellent care…read more We are so glad we were able to move my husband to Providence Place! He has been there a year. Previously, he spent 2 years at Ivy Park at Cathedral Hill. They are very different. Providence Place is a small facility that focuses on excellent care, among other important things. Ivy Park, by contrast, is corporate, and spends money on marketing and open houses. Providence Place (PP) spends money on the residents -- on excellent and loving care, tasty food, and staff who are loyal and remain with PP for years. Staff turnover at PP is very low! At Ivy Park, however, staff turnover was frequent! We never knew who would be my husband's caregiver that day. Consistency of care is important in noticing subtle, but important, changes in residents. This can affect their condition. My husband's main caregivers at PP, Pia and Saul, are outstanding - loving, respectful, caring, patient, and kind. Catherine, the manager, is on top of everything, knows each resident and is very responsive. Often, she sends photos of my husband doing something that day. Twice a week a guitarist comes and plays live music, and an activity director comes 5 times a week to do activities with the residents, such as "bowling," balloon tossing, and coloring. In addition, the residents are bathed every day! This is amazing to me, especially because my husband is wheelchair-bound, but as Catherine says, "The residents feel better this way." It is true. Also, their teeth are brushed! This was not done at Ivy Park and there they were bathed only 2-3 times a week. My husband is a vegetarian and that is no problem at PP. The food is high-quality, tasty and varied. At Ivy Park, it was so difficult for him to receive adequate nutrition; the staff there took away the main course (non-veg) and gave him only the vegetables - no protein! My husband declined. He also became very dehydrated. At PP, however, he is stable and doing well. We are so glad that he is at PP where we feel like we don't have to oversee things. We trust the staff to do their jobs. It is a big relief!

I hired the enABLE team to help me with my mother who has dementia / alzheimers, and has been living at an Assisted Living / Memory Care facilities for ~ 2 years.  Mainly, I wanted them to assess my mothers behaviors, and the facilities in which she was living; making sure the facilities she was living was continuing to be the right place for my mother as her dementia / alzheimers is progressing.  Upon their weekly assessments, the enABLE team provide valuable feedback on how my mother is, what activities she is (or isn't) participating, the care she is (or isn't) receiving, the amount of stimulation she is (or isn't) being given, etc.  As the weeks had gone on the enABLE team recommended that my mother be moved to a solely based Memory Care facilities as they felt the current facilities was not the right place for her at this time.  (They actually were quite disappointed in the facilities she was living.  And, the last call I had with the Director I was incredibly disappointed as well.) The decision to move her was hard, but the support and attention to my and my mothers needs was more than words can express.  Jen and Joanna jumped right in, got tours set up, accompanied with me on the tours, asked the questions that I would not know to ask, and helped me make the decision on what the next best facilities would be for my mother.  Now, my mother is settled at her new facilities and is happy and comfortable.  The enABLE Team continue to visit with her, and their weekly assessments continue to ensure that together, with their support and guidance, the right decision was made for my mother. I want to point out that I would never have known to move my mother, or learned about how she was being treated w/o the enABLE Teams loving attention given to my mother, and their feedback.  I recommend enABLE Care Management one million times over!  The are so wonderful and have truly become an extension of my family!
