    Baja Salad

Don't you love it when the restaurant you meet at is closed due to delinquent payments? Well that's what happened when I was meeting a friend at Backyard Grill, but it was closed. Thankfully Senor Burritos was at the other corner of the plaza, so we went in. I was immediately struck by how this place was busy and bustling with activity. After looking at the menu, and gauging what I could not eat on our paleo diet, I realized I could get the baj salad with steak, and just ask for no cheese, and put the sauce on the side. I'm so glad I bought this salad because it was HUGE. It came with a massively healthy amount of fresh lettuce and the steak was flavorful and plentiful. It easily dwarfed my friends' burrito bowl. It was funny when he made jealous glances at my salad. This salad was ridiculously good and I actually couldn't finish it... had to take some home (hooray for good leftovers). Loved to sit outside in the outdoor area - one of the few beautiful days before things get really hot. Service was great and look forward to trying the salad again!

First time coming here , as soon as I walked in they greeted me and shared with me there specials and gave me my time to order and look at the menu , next I ordered this amazing burrito with fajita and it they did everything fresh because the grill is kinda towards the front so you can see what they're doing , and the fajita has an amazing flavor too ! But I got mine with beans , rice , pico de gallo , cheese , avocado , cilantro , diced onions and green sauce ! Just truly amazing great flavor !

We came in for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and was pretty dead. We didn't let that scare us off. The sweetest man greeted us that cooks in the back and who also is front counter. I asked for his name and I think it was Elanzo? He was so helpful and so amazing. He made the experience here that much better just because of his hospitality. He also makes the greatest green chili salsa I have had in so long. I ordered the chicken fajita plate and my friend ordered the beed burrito. After tasting the green chile sauce we had to get the chips and salsa to go with it. Since there wasn't anyone there we got everything out fresh. I loved the chicken Skillet and I also tried my friend's burrito. It is massive!!! We also noticed that the happy hour prices here are crazzzyyyy cheap! Mon-friday 4-7pm $3 wells and cheap margaritas!

Whenever I go to subway, I usually see this place on the corner and I do love burritos! So I figure I give this place a try for breakfast. Setting: It's on the corner block right close to where I live in a small shopping section near some hotels. The seating here are more for smaller groups, but they do have benches and tables you can put together for larger groups. They also have a small bar area for individual seating and some high tables you can sit. Food: I came in for their breakfast four times now and they are pretty similar, so I'm gonna describe them as a whole. The eggs were scrambled nicely and the bacon wasn't burned. It was actually pretty crispy and big! I was expecting hashbrowns, but ended up with small squared-shape potatoes instead. I did end up getting the hashbrowns third time around. It was still pretty good and seasoned right. The french toast was good, even though it was a little burnt. I just wish they had syrup. Overall: I have yet to try their lunch and dinner menus and am sure it's better than their breakfast. Maybe some day when I tire of Subway and want something heavy with carbs, like a burrito, then I'll order takeout for dinner here. One of the main reasons I only eat breakfast here is that there's not a Denny's near me and the food ain't bad! I also can't cook either

Me and a friend split the Kebab Land mix that was recommended for 1 person, but it was the perfect amount of food for two people. The shish kebab skewer was super tender and had good flavor and the beef skewer was also tasty, but just a bit tough in my opinion. The chicken was moist and had a good charred flavor. The rice and grilled tomatoes were standard though the homemade bread was a bit thin and bland. Considering the bold flavors from the other elements of the food, the bread did complement it well. (6.5/10) Overall, the food is very comparable to other restaurants that serve this kind of cuisine. I think this place is definitely filling in a gap as there are not many other places in this area that serve this kind of food. If I were craving some kebabs and didn't want to drive too far I would definitely come back here. The owner was also super kind And the service was quick. Something else to note is that they only have bottled water that they charge for but the hot tea is free. The ambiance is super casual and parking is super easy because there are a ton of spots around as it is apart of a huge plaza.

Long story short, FALSE advertisement. I still got the Bacon Me Gouda Burger (without the special) with the charge for classic fries because of the glitch with the system. This jumped from $10 'daily special' to $16. Overall flavor of the burger was good, cheese was nicely melted, sauce / bacon mix - but the beef patty seems like something that was cooked and ready for quick re-heat / serve. It came out REALLY fast and didn't seem fresh off the grill. There was only 3 people sitting in there when we arrived. No picture of the fries, they were basic.

I placed an online order - it quoted my food to be ready in 15 minutes but I got the text that it was ready in just 7 minutes. Fast service! When you pull up, it's a bit hidden in the strip center so keep an eye out for the Chubbies sign or you might unknowingly drive past. The restaurant itself is very small with only a few tables for dining in, so I think it's meant to be more of a takeout place. My food was ready for me to pick up on the shelf to the right of the counter. I was able to get additional napkins and ketchup at the adjacent self-serve station. I got the Chubbie and Rodeo Clown sliders with a side of fries. Total came out to just over $11 after tax which is pretty reasonable for lunch. The Chubbie is their classic slider, patty with cheese and diced onions. The Rodeo Clown was a patty with cheese, bacon, and onion ring. These came with a side of their house Chubbie sauce for dipping. I did like the Rodeo Clown much more because of the add-ons for the same price as the Chubbie. Nonetheless, both sliders tasted good and with the side of fries, I was content. I will say that the real deal was a bit of a disappointment compared to the photos they have on their online menu. IRL, the sliders appeared smaller and flatter. The fries were standard straight cut fries served in a paper bag. I do wish that they would have at least put the fries in a cup or butcher paper inside the bag, because all the grease got soaked up in the paper bag and made for a bit of a mess. I hope that this place makes it, as the employee (owner?) working the counter when I came in seemed like a genuine guy who was happy to help. I'd love to try more of their sliders as well as the chicken tenders because I read that these are massive!

Now... about the food, everything was GREAT! All of us rated our food and there was nothing less than a 7.5. I personally ordered their signature "Crazy Burger" - 10/10, easily. If you go, I highly recommend. The fries were great as well. Fresh and seasoned - 9/10. The shrimp wrap was good because the shrimp itself fills up the wrap very well and is fried/seasoned just right. I give it an 8/10. After checking out, it said my food would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I was in the area and arrived within 10 minutes of placing my order. The restaurant is located in a strip center and there is plenty of shared parking. Perfect timing on arrival, because my food was freshly prepared out of the kitchen. The employee behind the counter was warm and friendly, and generously provided condiments and napkins as I took my food to-go. I ordered the 3 piece Fish & Chips (you can specify between 1-3 pieces). Here, they use swai fish and you can specify which type of breading you'd like - Cajun style (cornmeal) or London style (flour) - I went for the flour batter. Included on the side are fries, onion rings, toast, and a single hush puppy. The foam container was stuffed to the brim it couldn't even be shut. Not a bad thing since I know fried food like this needs to breathe in order to not get soggy. By the time I got to my office about 10 minutes later, my food was still piping hot. Among my whole platter of fried food, everything was still crispy as if I was eating it in the restaurant! It was so delicious - the fish fillets were battered well and had a good balance of fish and breading. The fries were seasoned nicely and the hush puppy, while only one, was a nice touch. I would definitely order this again, though would reconsider 3 pieces as I was stuffed and was ready for a nap by the time I finished. JLB has so many offerings I will definitely come back to try more, at any of their locations. I'm interested in the chicken, the burgers, and the sandwiches, and would totally order the fish again - Cajun style next time perhaps.
