The teas and juices say they're made in house. I tried the Blueberry Lavender, Cucumber Mint Lime, and the Strawberry Citrus.

First time visiting and I'm so mad I haven't tried this place before! I've driven past it a hundred times but I thought it was coffee lol. So I've been buckling down on my diet and trying to make healthier food choices when I'm out and about. I typed in healthy into Yelp and Cava was one of the first options with stellar reviews. I can completely see why. I ordered the Harissa Chicken Avocado bowl with no pickled onions. Luis took my ordered and asked me some customization questions on my bowl. So, mind you, I picked this bowl because the board said it was the most popular, it doesn't have red meat, and I have zero clue what I'm doing. So Luis figures out I don't know what my options even are and he spends time letting me know what choices I have at each station and his personal favorites. He even showed me the drink station and which ones are popular and everything. He was so thorough and welcoming. It was amazing. Of course, the food has to be good too, right? At this point, the customer service was so incredible I wasn't sure what I would write if I hated the food. Lucky not the case! Everything was so delicious and fresh and just flavorful. I'm looking forward to next time and trying some other options, like the roasted vegetables (Luis's recommendation) and the lentils.

First time trying out this Cava location. Much like their IPO, this is a chain fast casual shop that has risen in value since inception and is actually holding ground; future growth may be limited in certain aspects but there are a lot more locations now and its following the Chipotle / Sweetgreen / Leaf and Grain model. Ordering is much like Chipotle; Cava has a few ready made options and I chose the lamb and avocado option. Pricing is between the $12-$16 range from what I saw, which is definitely above the Chipotle menu. I opted out of pickled onions but despite not being a Mediterranean food fan, the bowl tasted pretty good after mixing everything up. The fried pita chips on the side are a bit salty and greasy so I wouldn't recommend those.

Cava is always a 10/10 for me. The food is so delicious. Today I did a build your own bowl with braised lamb, spinach, lentils, basmati rice, tomatoes, onions and a side of the fried pita chips. This place is always clean, portion sizes are large and all of the to go ware is eco friendly. I love that. The meals are phenomenal and their specialty drinks are really good. I got a cucumber, lemon, strawberry lavender mix. Service is fast and buffet style so unless the line is long you're really in and out. This is a constant go to!

I mixed everything and it tasted great.

I ordered a Harissa Avacado bowl Togo from this place because I know that their bowls come well prepared and seasoned. They did an outstanding job on the taste and favor of the bowl but the areas that need room for improvement would be their Togo. The signs and even the way it's advertised is very misleading. They have an an entire area that is allegedly dedicated to Togo but it's not. I mean the sign says Pick Up and had al the Togo utensils, napkins straws and even CAVA bags for you to put your Togo order in. There is even an order or two sitting in that area for those who ordered Togo to grab. But not all Togo orders are placed in the Togo order pickup section. Instead, they made you wait about 5-10 min to go grab an unsuspecting employee and ask for your Togo order. You can see your Togo order sitting on the counter right in front of the chefs window with your name on it and everything and they do this as a standard practice. I asked...."do those who place Togo (pick up as the app calls them) orders just need to come to the front and ask for them instead assuming they would be in the pickup order shelf? The employee says yes, unfortunately you have to come to the front and request your pickup order, we don't put them on the pickup order shelf. So, pro tip, a lot 5-10 extra minutes of waiting before you are able to ask for your pickup order. lmao because they troll The restaurant is clean tho and there is plenty of free parking out front. The lines are typically pretty long during lunch but whether you order in or Togo, you will end up waiting the same amount of time. I would recommend you go after work.

Tried for the first time and got the bowl with rice and lamb -- it was delicious. The variety of toppings really takes it up a notch. Staff was super friendly, and the place was very clean. Definitely coming back!

Great food and experience. Must try. Well seasoned and flavor combos are . Would recommend 10/10. Service is excellent. Team members are well versed in each dressing.

I finally understand the Cava hype now. I mean I always knew it was like Chipotle but for Mediterranean food, which I enjoy. But actually going here and ordering a bowl? Mind-blown. Literally so many options to choose from. Step 1: Pick a greens. The 'SplendidGreens' has the most variety: chicory, endive, romaine, escarole, endive & radicchio. Effortless to get a great balance Step 2: Pick a grain. I love love love the saffron basmati rice, so amazingly fragrant! Step 3: Choose 3 spreads. This is where they give you 3 mini scoops of the flavor bombs. There's tzatziki, hummus, feta, harissa, red pepper hummus, and eggplant. Whichever you choose, HIGHLY recommend the harissa, it's packed with flavor and spice. Step 4: Pick a main, aka your protein. For the vegetarians, they have falafel and roasted veggies. For the meat lovers, they got lamb yo! Step 5: Add ALL the toppings. Seriously, all of them. They'll let you! I'm not gonna list them all but the corn, fiery broccoli, and pickled onions are BOMB. Step 6: Dressing. This is where you go ham on the Mediterranean-specific stuff, the yogurt dill, the tahini, the skhug (peppers and cilantro), harissa. Oh, the preserved lemon is niceee. The portion size is pretty good, you'll definitely be full at ~$11. Their homemade drinks are fantastic as well, not ridiculously sweet (just add sugar to taste, for all yall Texas sweet tea drinkers). Oh yeah, sign up for their rewards program, I think you have to spend $88 within 6 months to get the $8 rewards, but considering how many Cavas there are in Houston and the price point, you can bet I'm switching from Chipotle to Cava, it's my new fava-orite fast-casual spot!

    Harissa avocado enjoyed outside!

I love this place! You can customize your own food or pick from their crafted menu, either way it's bound to be delicious! The service is always friendly and the restaurant is always clean! Maybe next time though you might enjoy their patio area!!

I really enjoy this location specifically, easy access in and out! Ordering available online, and if you join their club spend $88 and get $8. That's super easy, order a group meal and viola! I advise AGAINST premade bowls. And going for your specific flavor profile. Protein options: chicken, lentil, lamb. All excellent choices. I went today and excited to come back. If I could give you a tip..... Sauces; mix the green and the garlic and use that for dipping the fried pita. The fried pita is excellent!!! Enjoy y'all!

If you don't have very many locations aren't exactly established yet in the city you're trying to plant in, and a patron comes in and says it's their first time, some recommendations and signature dish items would be nice to hear. There were a lot of staff on this Sunday afternoon, but didn't really see there was much effort into the overall experience. The food station was dirty and messy, there were gnats flying around our food where we were sitting, and when we got our zeppelins, it was drenched or drowning in the dressing and th overall sandwich was overly salty because of it. I ordered the Mediterranean Cobb and held off on the blue cheese and subbed feta. The grilled chicken literally was so chewy and tasted like rubber I had to spit it out and then pick the rest of the chicken out, this place is NOT cheap. Quite pricey for a large sub stuffed with a salad. If you're paying $15 for a sandwich, you expect to get quality ingredients. The chicken was not edible. Staff just stood around and would chit chat, not really attentive or maintaining the restaurant very well. I'm willing to give it another shot maybe and try their salad...but I'd heed on the dressing and ask for it on the side.

Eat, Drink, HTX…read more Made a reservation for a Sunday night dinner for three. The restaurant is so cute and cozy with tables and booths. Lots of TVs to watch the Olympic Games while you wait for dinner. I liked watching the open pizza oven. They make a lot of pizzas here. The Eat, Drink, HTX menus are a great way to try new restaurants while giving back to the Houston Food Bank. A starter, an entree and a dessert. $25 for dinner. So many choices on this menu. A great deal while helping out those in need. "Started" with the Turkey Samosas. Four crispy pastries that are filled with seasoned ground turkey, potatoes and parsley served with cucumber yogurt. Delicious! The Ember & Greens Soup that my family had was hot, hot, hot and so tasty. The fresh soup was filled with a blend of spinach, parsley, and cilantro with chickpeas, caramelized onions, pinto beans and quinoa. My FIL polished off his bowl! For dinner, we all had the Blackened Salmon. The salmon with lemon butter and avocado salsa served on roasted carrots, broccoli and potatoes and a bed of quinoa. It was a full plate, which we all took home for dinner the next day. Note: it is quite buttery. My FIL had his butter and avocado salsa on the side which worked for him. I loved mine as is. Even though we were pretty full, we still enjoyed dessert. The tiramisu was so indulgent. Loved the layered mascarpone custard, whipped cream, coffee liqueur and coffee-soaked ladyfingers. My FLI had the Chia Seed Pudding with fresh berries. What a great meal. We had a slight hiccup where the appetizers came slightly after the main meal was served, but they were so honest about what happened that I still have to give them five stars for their food and their service. Would try them again for their generous, delicious meals. Lots of parking. Water glasses were frequently filled both with and without meals. Thank you for a really nice Sunday night dinner with family.

It was a beautiful day, so it would have been the perfect day to eat outside if you like that. I'm an eat indoors kind of person, but if you like to eat outside, they do have a few tables for that. I was meeting a friend for lunch and she suggested Ember & Green. We really couldn't decide what to order, so we decided to order a few things and share them. We started off with the Persian Cucumber Sald. It had Persian cucumbers, heirloom cherry tomatoes, red onions, and Kalamata olives with oil and lemon dressing and topped with parsley and feta cheese. Let me tell you, thats lemon dressing was delicious! It went so well with the cucumbers. Next we ordered Blackened salmon with lemon butter and avocado salsa, served with charred broccolini, roasted carrots and potatoes on a bed of cilantro green pea quinoa. I'm really not a huge fan of salmon, but I'm trying to like it more by trying it different ways. The spices that they put on the salmon were really good, not too spicy, but also, not bland. It was also cooked perfectly. Oh, and that lemon butter... that lemon butter made the meal if you ask me. It was so good. So good in fact, I had to try and make salmon with lemon butter at him the very next week. Mine didn't come out as good as Ember & Greens, but it was decent. That just means that I need to leave the cooking to the professional. For dessert we decided to share the Skillet Cookie. Its a house made chocolate chip cookie baked in a cast iron skillet and topped with Amy's Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream and chocolate sauce. This was the only thing that we ordered that was a nope. I dont know what happened, but it didn't seem like it was cooked at all in the middle. We took a few bites, that was all we could eat of it. All and all, it was a good experience and I will go back. I'll just skip dessert next time.

One thing that really stood out, and I haven't seen many restaurants do this -- is that they offer you a small sample of the food before you order. That little touch made a huge difference! It helped me decide on the right heat level for my chicken and narrow down which sides I wanted. Such a simple gesture, but so thoughtful. I ordered the H-Town wings with the hot honey sauce and a side of their homemade ranch -- and WOW. The wings were incredible, and that ranch? Delicious doesn't even cover it.
