The food, service, and ambience of this establishment were remarkable. Located on the beach, it's a great place to experience. My issue is with the restaurant's photographer. My family and I visited this establishment on June 28th. Who ever was photographing, was profiling the guests and only taking photos of what he considered good looking. He looked at me and my family several times and never bothered coming over to ask us if we'd like our photos taken. To me this is a possible loss of income for this restaurant. read more

All three of these stars are going to our waitress because she was wonderful and super attentive, everything else was lacking. The food was good and did come out hot, however it took forever to come out, our drinks didn't come out until halfway thru our meal, and it too forever for us to even be able to get in the doorway because even if tho there were 3 hostesses they were only talking to one group. This was a great experience for Cinco De Mayo! You really come for the experience and not the food itself. The restaurant had a dj, balloon man and a mariachi band. The staff did a Mexican style dance on stage. The dj got the crowd involved and made it fun. We got the chips and salsa, corn ribs and skinny marg yard size to start! The yard is a very tall plastic cup, which is $15for the cup and drink. Considering the small drink is $10, this is a steal of a deal. The corn runs and salsa were REALLY GOOD! We got a steak bowl and nachos. The steak bowl was very colorful but not so much full of flavor. I added salt and pepper to it which helped. My boyfriend's nachos came in a tin can that they lifted at the table and the queso on those were pretty good. I prefer an authentic over Tex mex Mexican. In my opinion, the tap water they brought me with my beer tasted funny. I thought I ordered fajitas but was brought enchiladas. Took a while to get the food out so I went with it. I was hungry, I ate the enchiladas but they were okay. Way overpriced for what I wa served. Chicken tortilla soup came out cold. They fixed it very quickly and two waitresses checks to be sure it was right afterwards. Chicken taquitos kids meal was not good at all. Shredded chicken inside the taquitos was not very flavorful. Same shredded chicken in my enchiladas. We also had chips and salsa which was pretty good. 3 people- 1 with kids meals, 1 with a soup and soft drink, 1 beer, 1 appetizer -$75! 20% gratuity was already added to our party of 3 on the bill. Service is horrible besides the view of the beach you would be better off hitting flounders or crabs this is another corporate company coming in and charge a 20% grat on their checks for horrible service and 3 people at the table.. Senor Frogs is a lot of fun! Love the vibrant decor and energy, although it is not fine cuisine, it is a fun time. The menu is mainly tex-mex inspired, and I do appreciate that they have some vegetarian options (although I'd love some more). The Jalapeno Poppers were my personal favorite items. The Nachos were pretty good, and I like how they have Cauliflower Wings as an option - however, I wish they were fried/breaded rather than grilled or steamed. The flavor was good at least, but would have liked a bit more effort. They also have Potato Wedges, which makes me happy! The frozen drinks are a bit overly sugary in my opinion; I'd like to have tasted the alcohol a bit more. Our waiter was super and accommodating, making it a great experience. The food could have used more flavor and I don't think I'd come back, but this is definitely a must-try once! read more

Pretty quiet when we arrived. Waited a while for a bartender and ordered to draft beers. Got the beers and they were flat and stale. As bad as I've ever had, but they did take them back. Had the nachos and they were ok. Finished my bottled beer and stared and waved at servers for 5-10 minutes before I got their attention to get another beer. Get the bill and they already charged a %20 gratuity on the bill, of course without any mention to us. Probably would be more attentive to customers if they had to earn a %20 tip. read more

The server was good. The food was unbelievably overpriced trash. Stale chips, bland food, extremely loud atmosphere. Was raining the day we were there. They sat us by the open window area. both us and our food got soaked and we had to move. An automatic 20% gratuity is added to the bill, then they come around with a card reader for payment that ask for an additional tip. I feel like the guy serving us should have gotten 100% of the 20% they charged off the top. So I felt obligated to make sure he got a decent tip. Some guy was going around table to table asking to take pictures so they can sell you a photo package. This was easily the most expensive meal we had all week here and was just as easily the worst food. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. She walked to get check as we were going back to beach gave us the check 28$ for a vodka soda and a top shelf margarita that tasted like sh$$! Gave her my card she then walked away helping 4 more people then bringing our check back ? I asked what the fee was that was on the bill? She said she didn't know what that was for either ? This place has all the vibes for sure with a DJ on the stage playing new and old hits and not to mention karaoke was highly encouraged! In fact my kiddo got on the stage and rapped a song! First, they have a DJ that is on a microphone w/ the volume at MAX and then some. The staff walks around and randomly blows whistles. The pitchers of margs did not have tequila in them. Senor Frog is a Mexican chain restaurant located on the sound side of Pensacola Beach on the west end across from the boardwalk and near Alvin's and Flounders. The entrance is a small gift shop leading into the main dining area. The atmosphere is vibrant due to the splash of vivid colors and yet calming due to the serene outdoor view. The music may be a bit loud in the main restaurant but just a little higher than I like on the porch. Well within my listening limits. The bathrooms were some of the best I've seen. Pleasant to the sight, touch and smell. It was appointed similarly to the rest of the restaurant featuring all the usual bathroom features in pairs. Only negative is one of the two towel dispensers was either empty or not working. All the staff from hostess to busser were pleasant, professional and courteous. They appeared to be fairly knowledgeable about their restaurant from layout to food and drink options and happily will answer any questions. The appetizer plates were a miss with 2 of 6 plates having the residue or the previous diners guacamole or other greens stuck to the plate. The queso was light and creamy a bit to light to adequately offset the saltiness of the queso. But definitely edible just other Mexican recipes offer a more robust flavor palette. The guacamole may have been a little under ripe but texture was spot on. The salsa appeared to be a blended salsa with chunks of tomatoes added to make it appear handmade. The salsa had a hint of heat and cilantro but it was outdone by the tomatoes and garlic. I personally prefer my salsa closer to the texture of pico de gallo than picante sauce with more cilantro but this is all personal preferences. The chips were light a crispy with the barest hint of oil that can't be beat by Tostitos. So far a pretty good experience but now the true test, the main course. Unfortunately, Senor Frog falls short by a mile. The carne asada fajitas were a disappointment. The refried beans and Mexican rice was served cool. Both dishes were bland which is fine for the refried beans but not the Mexican rice. The prominent taste is the buttery undertones to the rice which is unusual but pleasant. The vegetables seem to be frozen and tossed in. The pico de gallo most prominent taste is salt only because the onions, tomatoes and cilantro were basically tasteless. The corn tortillas were good but they only provided 3 small tortillas which was way too little for the amount of fajitas. The carne asada was tender but a miss on the taste. My wife said it was reminiscent of liver. Not enough seasoning on the meat, peppers or onions. Probably the worst fajitas I've had hands down. A total miss. My kids tried it and it was a thumbs down for all 4. The birria was okay. Wife said it was close to authentic but not close to what was served at Ciudad Acuna which is really more Tex-Mex than Mexican. It was better than the fajitas hands down but not what I would order if I came again. Chances are, I'll pass on this and visit Flounders a short stroll away. Señor frogs would be a hit if the food matched the atmosphere and service. read more

Ordered a drink and ended up walking out before it was served. The girl who originally "helped" us (quite the understatement) was exceptionally rude. Instead of answering questions for my friend, she placed a QR scanner with the menu on it in front of my friend. She tried to view the drink list, but something was wrong with the QR code. When I tried to flag down the girl, she kept avoiding my stare. At this time, another girl approached to ask if we had been helped. I told her the first girl was very unpleasant at which girl #1 reappeared with a scowl on her face. I didn't like her attitude from the start, but then it got worse. I made sure to tell her the issue before leaving. It's a shame to be open only 3 weeks with a brand name known for a fun atmosphere and have one girl ruin it! I visit Pensacola at least twice a year and try to bring friends to fun, memorable places. Well, it was memorable and not in a good way. I will not return to this place! I remember when this was Captain Fun's and Jubilee. It's changed hands multiple times over the years. The space must be difficult to keep going for whatever reason. But one thing is for sure, you won't keep people coming back with awful service like we experienced. Don't waste your time here. Walk a few steps down to Whiskey Joe's. I'm visiting from California and came tonight on a Saturday night . This place was DEAD! But I can definitely see why! Once we were seated, we did not get service at ALL! Waiters walked by our table a couple of times and assisted tables around us, but did not approach us once. Not even a hello. So we went to the bar. The new bartender (I didn't get her name) was great. However, the MC on the mic tonight who was dressed as nun did not involve us is any games he was playing with other the tables because we were sitting at the bar. I walked up to him and told him we wanted to play but were seated at the bar, and he told me he would get us later. Of course, he never did.
