We decided to come in and check these folks out, they're a little further away than our usual Mexican haunt, but we needed to try something new. Glad we did! We sat at the bar and had some drinks and snacks, and all were excellent. We grabbed some skinny margaritas, they were a little small but still very tasty. We then got the carnitas and some old school hard shell beef tacos (sometimes it's what you need!) which are not listed on the dinner menu (they will make them if you ask, though). We had been wanting to try their food for awhile and we finally did via GrubHub. I'd definitely say it is more upscale than most Mexican restaurants and worth it. I was in the mood for something with really good vegetables and was surprised to see veggie tacos so I had to try them. They come with squash, zucchini, poblano peppers, corn and salsa verde plus are topped with cilantro and cheese. I opted to have corn tortillas (instead of flour). The sides paired with the dish were rice and black beans. Every thing was very fresh and tasted great! The person I ate with had brisket enchiladas. I was told they were good, but the brisket was a bit tough and dry. The refried beans did not disappoint, however! We were especially happy they gave each of us a bag of chips with salsa! I really, really wanted to like this place since my kids come here often for drinks and food but I cannot give them more than 2 stars. We ordered a pitcher of frozen margarita and this was the best part of the experience for me. The drink was very tasty. I then ordered the veggie tacos and could not believe what was delivered to me. I have ordered veggie tacos from various places and this has to be the skimpiest tacos I have ever been served. Just because I am eating a veggie meal does not mean I have no appetite. Veggies are so much cheaper than meat or seafood that it took me by surprise how little was contained in my tacos. My daughter looked over at my meal and made a comment to me about them, too. I know she was embarrassed because she suggested eating at this restaurant. My husband ordered meat tacos and his looked better than mine (no picture though) but nothing impressive. He did not care for the chips and salsa but seemed to be okay with his tacos. I do not see us coming back to this restaurant. Usually I like to give a restaurant a couple of tries but looking at other reviewers comments and the fact that the management has never reached out to anyone on Yelp, tells me they do not care enough. Average food but extremely bad service. I am Mexican I love visiting good Mexican restaurants. I feel so proud when I visit a good one. My first and only visit to Señor Patron was really bad. I don't want to go back again. We were celebrating a dear friend's birthday. We made a reservation for 8 people some days before. When we arrived the table was not ready but the place was almost empty. The waitress was in such a bad mood. We arrived with a cake that we asked to be put in the fridge. She took it back never put it in a fridge. The food was average. I tried some dishes and I can only say carne asada inside of my burrito was really good, the rest wasn't good at all. The waitress never cleaned our table but suddenly arrived with the cake in the box and throw it in the dirty table. So rude. We had to remove the dirty plates and put them in other table (did I mentioned the place was almost empty? only three tables with customers). We take the cake out of the box and we all sing happy Birthday. We felt bad for her it seems she was having a terrible day, and we all agree we are not going back again; even the birthday girl who was the one to recommend the place because she used to be a good customer. So sad how many restaurants are loosing customers just because the servers attitudes. We came here on a weeknight and sat in the small bar area at the bar itself. There are some tables in this section as well. Although we were the only ones sitting at the bar, it took some time to get served. We had ordered our drinks and food and still did not have chips and salsa yet. There were a lot of TVs in this area with various sports on. The food came fairly quickly and was pretty good. I had the stuffed burrito and was drawn to this on the menu because of the tortilla strips that top the burrito. This indeed was a nice touch. The burrito itself was large and filling. We were given chips and salsa as you expect which was great with unlimited refills. We love eating family style so we ordered a few things off the menu. This included the chicken nachos, chicken quesadilla, chicken enchiladas, and shrimp tacos. Our family loves our veggies and we inquired in regards to extra chopped onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and pico on the side. Without hesitation, they brought out heaps of each which were more than satisfying. Everything was delicious and addicting and we were very impressed and basically agreed that this place would be our go-to whenever we're craving Mexican. We only had one issue and hence the 4-stars. They incorrectly brought us a shrimp quesadilla initially. I took the first bite and it was good, but it wasn't what we wanted. I also noticed that it was barely warmed up. I was hoping when they corrected it, it would have a crispier crust. However, that didn't happen. You can see from the pics what I'm talking about. Horrible delivery and customer service. I ordered through Grubhub and restaurant only filled part of order. I called restaurant and they said they would call Grubhub and call me back, they never did. I called back and was told they could fill order but I would have to pick it up. I explained the reason for my delivery order was because I am COVID-19 high risk and last place I should be is out at a restaurant. You have the partnership with Grubhub so you should be handling any issues that arise not the customer. I then called Grubhub and was told they could refund me in a week but not deliver food. So what was the point of ordering in first place?!?!. Hmmm it took a second for then to take my money and even had prepaid the tip. So.... our second attempt at eating at Senor Patron did not go so well. We ate here about 6 months ago after moving just around the corner. I swear I posted a review then, but I don't see it...hmmmm maybe because it was not favorable as a well. Since waiting 6 months to return we hoped for better since there aren't many Mexican places around. If I could give negative stars I would! We entered, were greeted by these hostess and told it would be 10 minutes for a table. We asked about these bar area and she said it's a first come basis. We asked about the small booths by the bar and she said those were also first come basis. We sat at the empty booth by the bar and a minute later the "manager " came over and very rudely said that we had to be sat by the hostess and since there weren't any menus in front us we weren't. We told him she told us to sit there. We got up and left and won't return. Never have we been so rudely talked to by a "manager". We won't be back and will make sure none of friends that visit will go there either. Big mistake, huge!! read more

This is by far the best Mexican food in the Johns Creek Alpharetta Roswell area... Their chicken is marinated wonderfully and is so flavorful that I would come here every day just for that. The shrimp is excellent and oh my goodness the margaritas are amazing. The wait staff is very helpful and the prices are very in line with what you would expect. read more

Came here with a friend and have ordered take out from here before. I always get the chimichanga with shredded brisket and it comes topped with queso. It comes with rice and beans. It's phenomenal!! I really do enjoy this dish. The meat is very tender and savory. Their queso came out warm and tasted fresh. My friend ordered the beef burrito and she enjoyed it. I have tried the enchiladas and they were very tasty and flavorful. I have also tried the soup, which I will say I could have done without. I felt the broth was lacking in flavor and I prefer my soup to have a little kick to it. They do have great drinks and a wide selection so that is a plus. Service was speedy and efficient. I've been to Señor Patron several times. I had decided to search for better local Mexican restaurants because of their bland food and underwhelming service. Today's experience reinforced my past decision to stop dining here. The hostess directed us to a booth with a seating cushion sporting about a 1 foot long rip. This was odd since there were only three parties dining including my party of 3. The server was barley adequate. He had no additional conversation or interaction with us until it was time to bring the check. We ran out of chips and waited quite a while before he noticed in passing. Without saying anything to us he grabbed the empty chip bowl and returned with a fresh supply of chips. Our entrees came out and looked great! My entrée, Asada Burrito was over salted. The beans and the beef inside the burrito was over- salted. The beef was long strips (up to about 5 inches) instead of being in bite sized pieces. My rice was cool to cold instead of hot. The other two entrees were ok but not home runs. Maybe I expected too much but these are the facts. Señor Patron barely earns my three stars.. There are much better Mexican restaurants at better prices in the area, I recommend you find one of them instead of Señor Patron. read more
