This place has fallen off. I've been here quite a few times but recently it's just gone downhil. They're stingy with their guac portions, charge premium prices and it's bland. The tacos in the combination plate are super bland! So don't do it. I don't want to be all the way negative soooooo I will say their barbacoa ranchero plate is good and their burritos. The refried beans are pretty good too. But stay away from the combos and appetizers. Service is ok, nothing spectacular read more

The service was awful, the server would not let you just eat you food, every few minutes she would ask how it is and if you want a box, like four times and I said I was still eating and don't need a box. She even just dropped the check off when I wasn't done eating and basically was so obvious she didn't want you there, and was hurrying you out of there and it ruined my meal. read more

The refried beans were soup. I sent the meal back half eaten. The namanager came out and asked what was wrong, I told him and he asked if I wanted something else, I said no thank you. This place is such a lil happy surprise for how it looks from outside . It's become my goto Mexican place when I need a quick hot delicious meal . Food never disappoints and their salsa verde is my fav . Last visit to this place was on a Friday and our food was at our table "sizzling hot" in under 15 mins . The staff here is always wonderful and the food is excellent. I have many occasions that I need to seat a group for lunch and this is my go to place for 20 to 30 people. When the weather is nice, we sit on their outdoor patio area, and when we can't, they have a large private room we can use. Not every place can handle large groups, but Las Palmas does it well. I love that their boobs are large and some of them offer privacy if you need it. All in all, I would highly recommend Las Palmas. read more

Hubs suggested we order Mexican food from Las Palmas through Uber Eats. I've driven past Las Palmas several times, but have never tried their food. I let hubs choose our entrees and he decided on the following: Camarones A La Diabla $12.99 Grilled chicken tacos $9.99 Cheese dip $4.99 Beans with cheese dip $4.99 The camarones a la diabla was for me. It's a grilled shrimp dish with spicy sauce and comes with a side of rice and small salad. It was delish and SPICYYY! My mouth was on fire. The creamy queso helped. The grilled chicken tacos were the hubs' and they must be really good because this was his second night in a row ordering them. We always go too hard on cheese dip, salsa, and chips that we can never finish our entrees. Fortunately, the entrees make for great leftovers! Will order from them again. read more

My wife and I came in this past weekend. The place was dead only a few folks there eating and 4 people at the bar. Our waitress was not very happy to be working and was salty to say the least. Long story short we got our order in and got our food. She only came back to the table a couple times. I had to go to another restaurant employee to ask for more chips. She was MIA! Our food was GREAT but the service from this girl was terrible. After paying the bill she couldn't give us a receipt said there was a malfunction in the printer. We took the receipt we have with the bill and my wife wrote the tip in for our records. Today we looked at the bank account and that girl added more to her tip that we didn't give her! Yeah it's only a couple dollars but still that is stealing!!!! We will not return and it's a shame for our very first visit.... read more

I really enjoy the food at Las Palmas. Their cheese dip is one of the best I've had in FoCo (be sure to order it with jalapeños!). Their salsa also has a bit of a kick to it, which I enjoy. The Santa Fe Bowl is one of my go-tos for lunch or if I'm wanting a lighter dish at dinner. It's basically a burrito bowl, but the portion is pretty large so I hardly ever eat it all. I also like their tamale dish. The plate is so festive, definitely not what I was expecting when I ordered it, but the tamales were delicious! The menu offers things that other Mexican restaurants in the area don't have, so it's a nice place if you're looking for something a little different. read more

I mainly do takeout/door dash. The food is good so I eat here regularly. I VERY VERY rarely have a bad entree And I have ordered hundreds of them over the years. 99% of the time it's good and you get what you ordered. I MEAN, you cannot be on your game 100% of the time. Recently However. there had been a change.... If you order 4 large entrees and 2-3 dips (cheese or other), you only get one bag of chips. If on a separate order you get only 1 taco(about $3.00) you get 1 bag of chips.... So when you spend $70-$100 on food, much of it customarily associated with corn chips and 2-3 appetizer dips, you get one small bag of chips. This equates to each person getting a few chips and you having 75% - 85% of you cheese dips left over for you to store/spoil in the fridge. Bottom line $6.00 per appetizer goes into the garbage. So, make sure when you buy a $8.00 cheese dip, you have some store bought at the house. They say you can "order" extra chip and pay for them.... I can't find the button and WHY??? For $8.00 I can get a huge container of cheese dip and chips from Kroger!!! Tastes exactly the same... read more

When we first arrived nobody greeted us we sat down in the bar area without a greeting. After we ordered our drinks and received our chips and salsa, we watched our server vacuum the floor clean the vacuum and never wash her hands after cleaning out the vacuum. Not to mention she was very unfriendly and rude. The Salsa is horrible! Not salsa at all, one is tomato sauce and the other hot salsa they brought me was the sauce used for the street tacos. The meat they use for the street tacos was NOT carne asada, it was unflavored Barbacoa meat if that and the cilantro had a sour flavor to it. And on top of the steak being horrible they charged us $4.00 extra dollars. The best part of our experience was the Falcons were playing and the beer was cold! read more

My new favorite spot for local Mexican food. The food is very tasty and also affordable. We got a large cheese dip and chicken enchiladas with rice. The food came out quickly and was fresh and very flavorful. Only downside to the food was that I asked for an enchilada with no peppers and onions (just because I don't like them). The waitress said they were very finely chopped so I wouldn't really notice them, so I agreed to just go with their pre-made batch; however, when I got them, the peppers and onion pieces were some of the largest I've ever seen in an enchilada. Consequently I had to spend some time picking those out. Going forward I will request a fresh batch of chicken rather than their pre-made based on this. Otherwise, though, the food was delicious! The only other thing keeping this from being a 5-star review is their spacing of customers in the midst of COVID-19. When we arrived, the patio was full so we decided we would eat inside since they were skipping booths between parties and Mexican restaurant meals are typically very quick. While they were skipping booths, they had tables in the middle and ended up seating a party at the table immediately beside our booth (in the middle walkway). The party was far closer than I was comfortable with considering the pandemic. Going forward, I would probably only do take-out for the remainder of the pandemic based on this; however, I'll certainly back afterward. read more

Had an impromptu dinner with our son, wife and granddaughter last Friday. We were seated quickly and tended to in satisfactory time. Our food was very good but took a minute to come out due to a large private party. The staff was so kind a accommodating to our 2 year old. Went here with my FIL and SIL, as it was their last night in town and after a week long vacation we were looking for something good and close by. This was the best decision, the server and service all around was incredible. We got the queso and guacamole to start and it was probably my favorite queso I've ever had. It was flavorful, and it was thick without becoming hard in less than a minute. We split the tamales chilangos as an appetizer and it was one of the best things we've ever tried at a Mexican restaurant. My FIL got the chicken chimichanga and said that it was hands down the best he'd ever had, we all agreed after trying it. My hubby and I both got the street tacos, he mixed and matched and I got just carne asada and they were all phenomenal! The margaritas are HUGE and definitely pack a punch. Wonderful flavors, very fresh tasting ingredients, and overall an awesome dinner. The price and the quality cannot be beaten in this area. We will definitely be back! read more

Went on National Margarita Day and it was packed. Despite of this, the wait was only about 5 minutes for a table. Got the huge bowl of the chicken soup and two orders of the chipotle tacos. The chipotle sauce comes on the side with a side of beans, too. I got so full on two tacos that I had to take the third one home. I also went on super bowl Sunday and got the fajitas - which I have added a picture of - which were delicious. I will be going again. read more

So they think they should build a 12 top right in the center of the room by all the full tables. Everyone in the section was bothered by all the scrambling by the staff. We got our cheese dip and margaritas in a timely fashion and they were okay. My chilis toreado (sp) were good We then waited for a good 30 minutes to order. You know what it's like to keep 6 kids, ages 2-13 occupied at a table? Not easy! We finally place our order and 20 minutes later, our server (who speaks very little English and is weeded with at least 5 other tables, starts setting food down at the wrong positions). The staff try to help her by auctioning off the food. Complete Cluster $#%#! Missing items, wrong orders, no sour cream. My niece ordered a hard taco. She got a soft, she sent it back for a hard, she gets back another soft. What? Are we on candid camera? Server never came by for a quality check and our glasses were empty until I got up and requested a pitcher of water. My sisters boyfriend went to the bar to buy himself some beer because our server was no where to be seen. The food came straight out of a can. Salty uninspired, no love garbage! Absolutely embarrassing. My sister and her boyfriend are visiting from Sonoma county. Nice first impression for her boyfriend. I've been in the restaurant business for over 20 years. Hire me Las Palmas. I'll come in, clean house and tighten your ship. Something as simple as seat position numbered so anyone on staff knows where to drop off the food. How about the guys in the kitchen? They just slopped the food on the plates. No bueno! You should have seen the sauce on the tamales. A nice turd brown. My 13 year old nephew ordered them. I asked if they were large or small? Our server is like, small. They were large. She up sold us three large non eatable turd brown tamales. He took one bite. My side of avocados were brown. Ok, it's been 4 months since my 3 star review. We have been back several times and I think they deserve another star. Service has improved, I've tried many other menu items and, with a few exceptions, have been pleased with my meals. You can't go wrong with the fajitas. Wife likes the chicken. I prefer the steak. Texas style (chicken, steak & shrimp) is pretty good (overcooked shrimp). Beans and rice are always under seasoned. Margarita prices are WAYYY to high. If you have a coupon on your phone, the server has to TAKE your phone to the back to ring it up. I don't understand why they can't write down a coupon code. They need to address this. I know it sounds like we hate this place, but we don't. I'm critiquing in hopes of one day giving them a 5th star. If you haven't been, you should go! read more

HATED IT The most watered down Margarita you could get without getting it straight from the tap. And if you complain they just look at you like they don't speak english and shrug. No "we'll get you another" and certainly not "we'll take it off your bill". And the food is very bland, mediocre, no spice. Been there twice, I had the taco special and another dish that was a tortilla with cheese melted on it. This isn't cooking in my book. This is microwaving, you put a tortilla in the oven with cheese on it and press 1. That's what i got. This last time I went across the street to Los Maguey (what kinda name is that, is my spanish that bad?) where they use real tequila in their margaritas and they cook the food on a real stovetop. Wanted to like this place since its so close to where I live but the quality of the service and food left much to be desired. We sat down and ordered beverages and queso. The cold queso arrived 15 mins later but still no chips or beverages. We placed a food order and gently reminded about the beverages. The food came out cold and incorrect, but still no beverages. They did finally show up after asking again. After we were done eating we sat around for another 20 minutes waiting for our check. It was only upon leaving that we realized the wait staff was camped out in a booth watching videos on their phones. Sorry to say, we won't be back. read more

I love this place first for the 'A' health rating (100!) The staff is wonderful, friendly service, absolutely excellent food. A side of guacamole is less than $2 and it's FRESH. Not from a paste or reconstituted. The Loco Rice is heaven in a bowl (i get chicken only) and I put some salsa on it. The salsa is okay, nothing to write home about but I've never had a bad meal there. The Pina Colada and Margaritas are straight liquor. Disgusting! We ordered queso with jalapeños and it was cold with a chunk of the block cheese nowhere near melted. Then we ordered... the plates were steaming hot so was excited to get some hot food. Not at all what happened. Food was luke warm. Got the combination 21, one taco, 2 enchiladas. Wife got combination 6, one burrito, one enchilada, rice and beans. Her food was steaming. But her food tasted like "cardboard" according to her. My taco was the same consistency of wet catfood and the enchiladas had no flavoring what so ever. Oh, and our third basket of chips tasted like dish soap. The waiter himself, wasn't that bad at all.
