A cute little bakery with plenty of pastries, sourdough and cakes to choose from. I love their almond croissant (the one I had from Farmette). They ran out today so I had to get other pastries instead. The almond horns were amazing, the plain croissant is so buttery, sourdough was great and we also got some of their danish pastries which were also yummy and not too sweet. The lady at the counter was so sweet and nice. We will come back again to get sourdough and more pastries!

We were greeted nicely as we came in, and we're happy to see it was not overly busy as we know it can be! We had someone who needed No sugar added ice cream and she was happy to know there was 2-3 options available. She chose moose tracks and loved it! She said it was of course not as good as the "real deal" in her words but delicious and creamy in its own right. My 13 year old had her go-to chocolate, which was gigantic! I had a little taste and it was creamy and sweet! I chose the espresso/coffee house flavor of the day: it was magic! Chocolate pieces and rich espresso flavor was amazing! They gentlemen working the counter were very friendly and polite and the facility felt very clean and welcoming with big wood tables for large groups. I liked that they had a coffee house/sandwich shop added which I did not remember from before. I will have to return and try a grilled cheese panini sometime . I highly recommend the chief for a delicious weekend treat with the family!

My wife got the Peanut Butter Oreo. Did I make a huge mistake? Yes. Yes, I did. The mint chocolate chip is delicious and all, but they nailed it with the PB Oreo. I had a borderline existential crisis right there. What had I done with my life? How many times have I overlooked the PB Oreo? Who is Kafkaesque? I don't know him. In case you're not picking up what I'm putting down--the PB Oreo is the way to go. Now that I live in Kansas, this place is all the more special to me. Whether this one or the one on Lincoln Ave--they know what's up. The Chief is a staple for the Michiana area. The service. The people. The flavors. Yes, please.

I believe that the first time I went there was in 1988 when I was 16 (my two older cousins were raised in Union Pier), and since I visit SW MI at least twice a year, I never leave without going to Oink's before coming home. As I always took my kids to Warren Dunes instead of Chicago beaches, my kids always got to enjoy Oink's before coming back home also! So this year was no different and my wife and I got to sit down and enjoy ice cream before coming back home. I have always loved the different ice cream flavors (especially strawberry cheesecake), and as I always do, I bought a few pig keychains and other things from the gift shop. I also have always loved the old-school vibe! So every time I am up that way, I'll be there!! One last thing: I got to meet Coach Vink back in the day because my older two cousins (The McSmith brothers, who both passed away unexpectedly in 2024 and 2025), played for him at New Buffalo High School. Coach was a good dude, and I was sorry to hear of his passing. So, see you next time I'm up there!

My husband got a malt with their Kitty Kitty Bang Bang and he loved it so much he'd finished the generous serving before we even got home. I'm lactose intolerant, which can make ice cream tough, but Paddyshack had two ice flavors (the passion fruit was excellent) and a nondairy option, too. I will be dreaming of their soy butter pecan for the next few weeks. If you're looking for a great ice cream spot, definitely stop here! The staff was friendly and patient, and the restaurant is cute, with some outside benches to sit on if you want to eat your ice cream before you go home. I also love their "paddy scoop." You get to pick a mini scoop of ice cream in a flavor of your choice (for free)! It's a sweet topper for your ice cream.
