Great music. Clean floors. Something for everyone to do. A cosmic area for skating. Games. Nice play area for little ones. Skates and other things available for purchase.

Ok, so the outer area once you get into the 2 doors are safe. They do a scan of you before you get into the rink. It's chill, not a big deal. It was a mix of we don't really care, this is just a part time job and pretending they care about your safety. They have 2 rinks a practice rink and an actual one, and it's not really a rink at all, but it's nice to skate on. I really enjoy the decor and walls of the place. It's nice. You have to pay for storage in the back near the skate rental, 1$ an hour. Entry fee is 12$ and with the rental of 4 blade skates is 15$ with roller blades is 17$. As other people have commented, the staff here are very rude. The DJ doesn't take requests outside of familiar faces and the skate rental people are busy flirting with customers instead of helping you, and the skates smell a little. I mean, it's fun, don't get me wrong, but I probably wouldn't want to come back here in the near future unless it's for another friend outing and they make me. Also, if you have epilepsy I wouldn't recommend coming here. they have disco and flashing lights. I think it's a multicolor strobe light, so if you're light sensitive, be wary. But the colors and decor of the place is very nice and reminiscent of an 80s or 90s childhood.

Did a private event and met the owner Terry; he was so welcoming and warming! He took requests for our playlist recommendations and ensured our beginner friends on tips to skate and how to fall. If y'all want a private party, call up Terry to schedule a time! He was super flexible and accommodating! I got to learn that he is a Veteran so it's super nice knowing that I can support a Black-owned, veteran-owned small business! If y'all want to get out and feel safe, this is the place to have fun! I had a blast at our private event and know that I will be attending the adult nights in the near future for more music and skating. Thanks again for making our private party/ team photoshoot so fun!

I came here for the first time about a month ago and then twice since then. Upon entering I loved the music they were playing. The owner is very nice. It was the first rink I've ever been to, I'm new at roller skating I only started in February 2021! Admission is $10 if you brought your own skates and $12 if you're renting. I saw that if you're not skating they charge you $6 which I think is a bit strange personally. I didn't get security checked like the other reviews stated. I love the vibe inside it's nice and on the darker side. There are two skating areas. The main one and a smaller one if you want to avoid the crowd. The rentals (my bf rented) are golden horse skates I was very impressed they were decent quality. Cons / things I would change: 1.) some parts of the floors on the rink are uneven and bumpy 2.) it's hot as balls..they know we're moving around and skating so they should make it colder in there...they have a couple fans plugged in but it doesn't make a difference. Not sure if their AC is broken or they're just cheap because I saw one of the thermostats and the AC was OFF!! No wonder I was sweating bullets 3.) the skate rink should be bigger. It gets crowded fast because the rink is on the smaller side...they closed for renovations and had just recently opened back up..not sure what they renovated since I'm new but they should have worked on the rink considering they have the space for a bigger floor. 4.) having to pay $ not skating... I think that's bogus and seems money hungry. If I was a parent taking my kids to the rink and to sit on the side to just watch them I'd be pretty annoyed. Good thing I don't got kids LOL

Walked in, was checked (for security reasons-wand and all), wasn't skating- had to pay $6 to be a spectator, $12 to skate. If skating is your thing, you might have the time of your life. But if you're there to watch, don't forget your wallet!

Me with the blades her with the sk8s.

I had a lot of fun rollerblading. #GForce had a lot of fun skating. I look forward to seeing what the empty spaces will be. They had good, fun, age appropriate (aka effectively blooped out) music. TSA Security upon entering threw me off but considering the location I get it I guess and I forgot all about it until I left lol. Just weird seeing my 7 year old mini getting wanded down. The place was clean and welcoming. Bathrooms were clean too. We were there for a party. My mini pretty much stayed in the kiddy section until she felt comfortable coming to the regular section. I spent the bulk of my time on the rink dodging falling kids, shifty teens, jerking adults, and big behind balls. It was a blast. I fell 0 times. Yay me! The owner was there and was funny on the mic. A hot dog even skated on the scene. An overall fun experience.

The staff spoke disrespectfully and talked down to kids who were there to have a good time from the Jacksonville Arts and Music School.

Great Soundsystem, nice and clean, it really does feel like a family business. And it's veteran owned! We always have a blast.

Our Grannds had a grand old time. The facility was spacious and clean. My only problem was it took forever to get the food that we ordered.

Super fun place to skate and take the kids. The hours are very short for the price but it's fun!

This place SUCKS. The atmosphere was horrible and no one was there. It wasn't even an ACTAUL rink. Do NOT go there. Rude staff also.

I've always loved the peacefulness of the pond and the fountain. They have a gazebo to sit in the shade on hot days. Acetone the Gazebo is a hiking trail. This is in a neighborhood off of Emerson. It's easy to miss the turns, so go slow. Pros: great place to spend family time with kids. Great picnic area. Plenty of parking. Love the pond and benches. I have never been inside the community center, so I can't comment on that until the first voting day of the year. Cons: sometimes the older kids out here skating use foul language. It's so disrespectful to others around. I just try to ignore it. Recommend? Yes

Grew up calling this the Emerson skate park. It's been decades since I've been here. They now have…read morea playground, nature trail (sort of), an open field and of course the skate park. We showed up on a Saturday afternoon after picking up some lunch. There's a covered gazebo with two picnic tables. Plenty of park benches throughout the park. After the kids got done eating they went to the playground area for a bit. After my wife and I got done eating we grabbed the skateboard and scooter then headed to the skatepark. The skatepark was basically empty so the kids had all the ramps to themselves for a bit. They said they liked the new skate park in the 5 points area over this one... Go figure. There's also a restroom here. Two of them to be exact. One was being occupied by a homeless person. The one that was open reeked of cigarettes and looks like someone was partly living in there. Pretty gross but functional. The nature trail had a couple homeless folks hanging out in some of the area. There's clothing, pillows and all sorts of trash that's been thrown over the rails and left behind by whomever was camped out there. Such a shame because it's an awesome park being littered and loitered.

Most of the better skate parks around Florida--Bradenton, Gainesville, Daytona and others--are public and free of admission, so Treaty ought to be as well. I'm glad the powers that be finally came to their collective senses on this. Treaty is a good park, it's somewhat unique as it has more rolling inclines and bowl-like features than most skate parks which emulate street skating and street features have. It harkens back to the early days of pool-inspired concrete parks in California in this regard. It has lights and seems to be open until ten on weekends, maybe nine or ten weekdays? Not sure on that, but on a Saturday the lights were on until ten. This skate park is used, too: there are always skaters here when it's open and it's open for BMX as well as skating. Overall, it's not the very best but a pretty rad park and the new policies are certainly an improvement.

As a mom who frequents many a local skate park, Treaty (Robery-Layrn Skate Park may be the official…read morename), is perhaps on the top of my list for a variety of reasons. For those of you who enjoy a good kick flip, here is what the skate park offers: -Huge bowl - looks like an empty swimming pool with 9 foot walls! -A couple of 1 / 2 pipes -Rails to grind -Ledges to drop in -Skaters can do their thing until 10:00 pm every evening! There also is a little area for beginning skaters to practice their budding 'Tony Hawk-ness' as well! You can rent skate equipment in the Pro Shop as well. This is a plus in my book as most of the kids, well maybe it's just MY kid, don't like to bring their own. If you have a skater under 18 they will be required to sign a 'If you break your neck, we are not liable waiver', but in my experience this document is standard for all skate parks of this nature. The only thing to really be aware of is that there really is no covered areas in the actual bowl of the park. So, make sure you slather up your son or daughter with sunscreen and bring some Gatorade as this kind of physical activity in the Florida sunshine can be taxing on the most conditioned child. The Pro Shop is air conditioned, but is very small. So it doesn't serve as a very efficient resting point as this park can get packed with kids. They do sell drinks here in the Pro Shop however. Here is the best part for the parent of the avid skateboarder...this professionally constructed park is completely FREE!!!
