To SENZA ownership and management: You have issues. The website misrepresents this property in many ways. SENZA presents itself like a top hotel, but it is not match other properties in Napa. We booked a "vineyard-view" room. Instead, we got an active construction project directly outside our room. The vineyard featured in the marketing does not belong to SENZA. No heads-up. Because the property sits in a neighborhood, you get all the noises of home... generators, neighbors outside late and a driveway construction project early Saturday morning. We experienced a 10-hour power outage. We found online that it was pre-planned by PG&E for the block the hotel is on. The staff was caught completely unaware and had no plan. Guests were not notified in any way. Is that greed or incompetence? Most of the staff seemed apathetic or simply were not there. The café sign says, "Go to the front desk," but the front desk sign says, "I stepped away." They advertise pool service, but it is only available if the staff shows up. Getting a Diet Coke from the counter seemed like an inconvenience. We had to ask for housekeeping, and then I felt bad because it appeared one person was cleaning all the rooms. We were given a $40 food-and-beverage credit for each night. Later, we were told it did not include alcohol. Later again we were told it could not be used after 10:00 am. Shoutout to the Austin and Natalia who we saw working hard. Austin appeared to be doing everything from luggage to landscaping. Natalia found us some lamps and was in the utility closet trying to get the Wi-Fi working. Another positive was the pool. Without much staff or other guests around we had the pool to ourselves. SENZA is marketed and priced like an upscale Napa hotel. The actual experience does not come close. read more

A friend and I stayed here for our weekend trip to Bottle Rock this year. We got through the check in process fast. A man helped us with our bags. Our room was not ready but once it was our luggage got brought in. Neatly arranged. Re-Bagged in some instances. We left to start our day. At about seven thirty pm we arrived back at our hotel. An employee escorted us to our hotel door. I've never experienced that before. He opened our door for us and made sure we got inside. Once inside we were stunned at the level of care our bags got. A electric remote controlled fire place started to warm the room. A big flat screen television was mounted in the wall. A phone with our wooden key cards waited on a table with a tiny map of the grounds. Elegant and eco friendly all in one. The room was ADA regulated until we noticed the huge high tub in the restroom. Definitely not for me and a friend who definitely had issues getting in and out safely. I loved the heated floors in the bathroom. The door that closed for privacy was definitely a struggle to use. The first night I attempted to order a cheese and meat charcuterie board for room service. Once it arrived we took it out side on our very low lit patio. The food was fantastic. A great way to end our night. Every day we got a forty dollar breakfast credit. We definitely loved that. Every morning we sat outside by the fire place eating gourmet food. To ease our tired bodies from a ton of walking the day before. We checked out the hot tub. What a wonderful way to begin day 2. Upon Returning that next evening we discovered our room had been completely re stocked. Beds made. Supplies restocked. I wanted 2 cups of hot water. I rang the front desk. 2 cups of hot water arrived 5 minutes later. Door Dash style. We enjoyed our hot tea before bed. The room did not have a Microwave or a machine to dispense just hot water. Our coffee machine was not the ordinary one. It only activated with a coffee pod inserted in it. I did miss having access to a microwave. This place is definitely one to stay at. exceptional help all the way around. Beautiful grounds with a pool and hot tub. Work out room and spa all located close by. In order to access the pool or spa remember to carry your room key. The staff were all exceptionally cordial and professional . We will definitely be back. read more

Another update to the update to the update, because its deserving of it. Long time Senza guest and I appreciate the money and details the new ownership group has invested into this property. Newly paved road leading the hotel, plenty of guest services staff on site, welcome glass of bubbles, the decor all aligns in its different spaces, property was clean and tidy, and we simply just had a great stay at Senza. I believe any and all construction is complete (dont quote me on that though). During the booking, I selected the "Sips, Spa, Summer at Senza..." pricing option which is the same as the "Book Direct and Save". This "package" was worth it since you get a welcome glass of bubbles, discounts at a tasting room and spa service, 2 frozes, and a $40 daily breakfast credit. Weekend rates are a bit expensive, but that goes for anywhere in Napa Valley. It was our first time staying in the Senza Suite (Room 82). Great private patio space in front with a small community fire pit and vineyard views just steps away. The room was large enough to accommodate two adults and our two kids; they shared a pull out couch bed that was already made prior to our arrival. This room also has a slightly large fridge/freezer combo, a wet sink and a microwave!!! The people staying in the Senza Loft above us were stomping around at 6am so we did wake up earlier than we wanted to. The pool and hot tub was great, as usual! Ask for a bucket of ice and bring your bottle of wine and plastic cups to the pool. Shout out to the gentleman who was working in the library each morning, taking food and drink orders. From the moment you arrive at Senza Hotel, they already get it right by greeting you with a glass of wine, and honestly after traveling, that's exactly what you need. The room? Huge. Super spacious, clean, and comfortable. Same for the bathroom as it had plenty of room to actually not feel cramped. The whole property has this cute, quiet, tucked-away vibe that makes it feel like a little escape from everything. I started my mornings in the gym. Yes, it's on the smaller side, but it gets the job done. You're in Napa, not a fitness retreat, so no complaints. Before heading out, I was able to enjoy the pool and jacuzzi which were perfect for unwinding. They had cornhole set up out back, which added a fun, laid-back touch. By the way, during our stay there were vendors doing tastings on-site, which was really cool (not sure if that's a regular thing, but it definitely added to the experience). One of my favorite parts? The location. It's walking distance to Ristorante Don Giovanni, one of the best restaurants in town. and I'm not just saying that because we share a name lol Overall, such a lovely stay! I wish I would've kept my original plan to get there a day sooner than expected, Senza is 10/10. Relaxing, convenient, and exactly the kind of place you want when you're visiting Napa. Nice boutique hotel. Average pricing for 4 stars. Loved how we were greeted at check in & guided us around the property. Wasn't expecting to have our room upgraded, but that was great! We stayed at the Garden King Suite. The room had heated bathroom flooring, tub and access to patio & in front of pool. The room itself was nice, but I did notice a couple dings here & there from use overtime. And since we stayed on the lower level, the room wasn't 100% soundproof. We could hear people walking in the morning or evening. The complimentary $40 credit was useful. We easily spent it on two breakfast items + add ons. We had the breakfast tacos & avocado toast. Both were very delicious. Would overall recommend this hotel. Was a relaxing retreat. read more

We had a fun stay at Senza in Napa! We picked this location because it's just on the edge of the city so it's super quiet. It's right off the highway and probably 10 minutes to downtown Napa and 15 to St Helena. Our room was a nice size and felt clean. It was really cool to have vines and a seating area right outside our door. The bathroom seemed recently renovated but did lack some detail as the baseboards were pretty roughed up and the heated floor didn't work (it was set to 88 but never saw it above 65). There also was a vent right under the vanity which blew cold air on your feet when you were standing there. The common space was really cute and included an outdoor patio with a fireplace. We had breakfast a few mornings out there as we had a $40 daily breakfast credit. Our 2 meals covered the $40 quickly but it was not bad at all for hotel food! We didn't use the pool or hot tub but they also looked clean and well kept up. All the staff were kind and helpful. We shipped some wine back and they helped us figure that out. The hotel offered free tastings from local wineries about every night so that was a fun addition. It's also in walking distance of a great Italian place - Don Giovani. Overall this is a great stay and we'd consider staying again on our next trip! read more

We love staying at Senza, we have stayed there twice now and have had two wonderful experiences. We have stayed in the vineyard suites both times and they are definitely worth the price point in Napa. We have probably stayed at ten hotels in Napa at this point and Senza has beaten them all in comfort, space, staff, and price. The rooms are clean, incredibly spacious, the staff is very kind, and we always feel refreshed after staying here. We've paid more to stay directly in downtown and always end up in shoebox rooms that don't wow us for more money. Senza is 5 minutes from downtown and worth every penny. My husband and I had a great stay at Senza! We were joyfully greeted as we walked in, loved that we were able to start our stay with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. The property was very clean and welcoming. It felt very safe. Plenty of parking. There was a complimentary wine tasting that was happening on the first night of our stay. We appreciated that the TV had access to Netflix. Shower pressure was good. The only downfall was that our room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator. My husband booked a Mother's Day weekend getaway at Senza Hotel hoping for a relaxing and restorative experience, but unfortunately it turned into a weekend getaway from hell. Upon checking in, we did a walkthrough of the room and immediately noticed a cabinet hanging broken off its hinge and a closet light that was out, making it difficult to unpack. These issues alone weren't major dealbreakers, and we notified maintenance thinking they'd simply be addressed. As we explored the property, we also discovered the hot tub was out of service, which was a huge disappointment considering that was one of the amenities we were looking forward to during a relaxing spa-style getaway. Back in the room later that evening, I tried turning on the TV to unwind and found it completely nonfunctional. I troubleshot the remote myself, but it became obvious the issue was either the television itself or the outlet because even the physical power button on the TV wouldn't work. At that point I tried to stay positive and decided maybe it was a good opportunity to do some reading instead. I notified the front desk and moved on. Unfortunately, things escalated from there. When I went to shower that night, there was no hot water. At 10:30 PM, I was forced to move rooms. After already trying to settle in for the evening, this was exhausting and frustrating. The replacement room then lacked a microwave, meaning I couldn't even make coffee in the morning. I figured I'd just use their advertised in-room breakfast ordering system instead. The next morning, half asleep, I scanned the QR code provided. Between 7:30 AM and 9:45 AM I tried repeatedly to order breakfast. The site either loaded a blank screen or displayed an error message stating: "Sorry, but our order processing system is currently unavailable. Please contact us for assistance." The problem? There was no phone number listed anywhere on the error page or the in-room card with the QR code. Breakfast service hours were only from 7-10 AM, and after over two hours of trying, I finally gave up. I had originally booked a two-night stay but ended up calling my husband to pick me up at 10:30 the following morning because I simply could not justify staying another night. The only reason I didn't leave the previous evening was because this trip was meant to be my Mother's Day gift, and I truly wanted to give the hotel every chance possible. We also have a son who had already been tucked into bed, and calling my husband so late at night for a pickup would have meant waking our son up and taking a rideshare alone so late at night didn't feel particularly safe. What's most frustrating is that each issue on its own might have been manageable, but together they reflected a property that felt poorly maintained and operationally disorganized. A broken cabinet, burnt-out light, unusable hot tub, broken TV, no hot water, missing microwave, and a nonfunctional breakfast system all within less than 24 hours is simply unacceptable for what was described a Luxury Napa Getaway experience. I left feeling disappointed, stressed, and exhausted instead of rested and celebrated on Mother's Day weekend. read more

My wife's birthday celebration at the Senza Hotel, recommended by Janet Parker from Zinfandel Grille in Sacramento, was exceptional. Her Chef Tom Patterson, a regular guest, raved about it, and we weren't disappointed. I got extra help from Karen who helped me with the reservation and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. We arrived early, hoping to explore nearby wine tasting, and the staff graciously accommodated an early check-in as our room was ready. Their warmth and professionalism set the tone. We stayed in the Vineyard King Room #74, which was pristine and highly recommended. The room's attention to detail, including heated bathroom floors, delighted my wife. Everything was spotless, and extra towels were provided without hassle. Breakfast was a highlight. The French toast was phenomenal--a must-try--and my wife loved the salmon mini bagels. We added eggs and bacon, and every dish was flawless. I'd return just for the food. We enjoyed an on-site massage, which was relaxing, and I used the well-maintained workout room. From start to finish, the Senza Hotel exceeded expectations with its impeccable service and thoughtful touches. We had never stayed here so we gave it a try on this Napa trip. Checking in was nice, the front desk lady was friendly and they gave us bubbles while we were completing the process. We got there just around 3PM and they were still busy getting rooms ready, but we only waited a few minutes for them to finish off our room. Our room was basically right above the café, which was great, as it was a quick walk each morning to get coffee. They have a full service café which serves fresh made breakfast as well. They have free coffee in urns to grab (as well as hot water for the tea bags they have there) and they also have a barista station behind the counter where they'll make most coffee/espresso drinks you might want. They have a pastry counter with a selection of fresh baked items too. After breakfast time, the café switches to offering wine and such for later in the day. As for the room, it was nice... pretty big too. The TV worked great (not that we were there to watch it, but it's nice to fall asleep too, even though the sleep timer didn't work). The bathroom was superclean and well-organized and very nice! Everything worked perfectly in it. The bed was great, nice and comfy as were the bed linens and housekeeping did a nice job on keeping the room fresh daily. The property itself has all the features you've expect from a much larger property... such as large pool, a very nice inground hot tub, gym, and gathering places. The landscaping was great and so was the upkeep of the property! I even saw a housekeeper dusting outside, which was great to see! One of my favorites things about this property was that it's central to everything... If you want to go to downtown Napa, it's only a couple of miles to the left. The place was quaint and beautiful! They had a small outdoor pool and a hot tub. The hotel is seated next to a smaller vineyard and winery called Ashes and Diamond. About 5-10 minutes away from the Napa Outlet Mall, a new Costco about 10 -15 mins away, and 5-10 minutes away from the endless sea of vineyards. Front desk is available 24/7. Alicia, who checked us in, was super nice and helpful! She made our reservations for 2 vineyard visits and a restaurant for lunch. They have a cafe in the main building and the deco was nice and the food was really good! read more

I recently stayed at Senza Hotel and was thoroughly disappointed. The advertisement for this place is incredibly misleading. The so-called "rooms with a view" actually overlook ongoing construction and dead, poorly maintained vineyards--not the picturesque Napa Valley experience we were promised. To make matters worse, the water wasn't working properly during our stay. My guests and I were forced to take cold showers all weekend long, which added to our frustration. Whenever I expressed my concerns or needed assistance, I was met with a dismissive attitude from the management. The manager was particularly unhelpful, and I wish all these issues had been addressed prior to our check-in. It was quite embarrassing since I had brought four families with me, and I felt like I was putting them through an unpleasant experience instead of providing them with a lovely getaway. Overall, I would not recommend Senza Hotel based on this experience. There are certainly better options in Napa that truly deliver on their promises. read more

OMG!! What a Gem!! This was THE SPOT! Great location right off the highway. It was QUIET and Cozy. Love the touch of the Q-Ti Fireplace! Set the evening MOOD without the smoke. Senza is located close to the Town of Napa and only 26 miles from Calistoga. Overall, it was quaint, clean and did I say Cozy? From the time we arrived and Karen greeted us with a smile and offered us some BUBBLY, our 43rd Anniversary experience was JUMP started! Our Rm 21 was spacious and close to the dining/lounge and lobby amenities. It's on the second floor, towards the rear of property and was very quiet. Always choose the top floor! We slept like babies. Beds are Comfy. Pillows were clouds. The Shower Water pressure is amazing. We appreciated the $40 Credit each morning to help cover the cost of our breakfasts. Great idea!! The 2nd day, we had a great conversation with Mr. Soualio during our breakfast. He has a great personality and he's most definitely Customer Service Oriented with Attention to detail. He made sure our breakfast was part of our experience. Please THANK HIM again for us. He truly made our day. Thank you Senza Team!! We were referred by our son and you did not disappoint. read more

The entire staff is amazing, and we can't wait to go back. We were celebrating my wife's 40th and they gave us a bottle of champagne after we checked in. The room was breathtaking and very large and we got a room right in front of the pool. They also had wine tasting at the hotel and we got to e joy that. Next morning we got breakfast and I ordered the chorizo breakfast tacos and my wife got the breakfast sandwich. Ok, this is a hard one to write because we have been coming to Senza for few years now and we were so in love with the place ! We loved to stay here and told many people to stay here if they come to Napa. This time around we came to whole different hotel since it's been bought out and they did some changes. We arrived at 4pm and our room was not ready. That never happened before but things happen I guess. What made the whole check in worse is the new changes to the place.They took the complimentary breakfast away which was the best part of this place! We loved self served breakfast as well as all you can have mimosas, coffee, fruits. Waking up in the morning and going down for breakfast was highlight of our day! People seemed happier, it was just more lively. Now it's not the same. The wine tasting is still there but on select days. Yes the new lobby looks beautiful but I'd rather have them keep the old lobby and keep the breakfast! We did try the new "elevated" breakfast they have now and it was disappointing. I think we are not the only regulars that are not happy with these changes. People who came to Senza seemed to love all the amenities and that's why people kept coming back. I do want to give props to Edgar. When we checked in he was very welcoming and really tried to hype the place up and comfort me since I was not ready for the changes upon check in. We enjoyed our stay back in 2019.  We had a really nice experience. We loved the complimentary breakfast and mimosas in the morning. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Because of this, we decided to rebook with the thought that we would have a similar experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case. With the new management, we have discovered there is now no complimentary breakfast or mimosas. The afternoon wine that was offered in our past stay is no longer available. The pool was not cleaned and had a lot of debris and bugs floating around. The front desk staff were not welcoming when we checked in nor when we checked out. It seemed as though the front desk staff were not trained. They emailed us a week in advance asking if we wanted to check in early once we arrived. I emailed them back and said yes, but never received a response. I called a couple days later and they said to call at 10:00am the day of our stay. I followed their instructions and called at 10:00am sharp to see if the room was ready, but was told that it was not. I then asked them if they could call me when our room will be available. To our dismay, they never called us. We arrived at 3:00pm and were given our room keys to a king suite with a pull out bed. When we walked into our room, everything was in order except the pull out bed was not made. This was upsetting because when we made the reservations, we informed them that there will be 3 adults and 1 baby. It was crucial to have the pull out bed ready because our baby needed to nap after the long drive. We called the front desk to once again ask that the pull out bed be made.  After waiting for some time with a very cranky baby, no one showed up. So we then walked over to the cleaning staff ourselves and asked them directly, they said they would come right away and they did. The cleaning staff were very friendly, thankfully. We were so disappointed at how different our stay was compared to how it was when it was under the original management. I would not recommend this hotel. It is not worth the $750 to $1000 price tag. There are several other places in Napa/Yountville that are more worth that price and a way better bang for your buck. read more

Possibly the best hidden gem in Napa. The room that we stayed in was amazing , by far one of the best in napa. Ceilings were at 20 feet hight , if not more . We stayed in the Vineyard king suite and the views were amazing . See the pictures . Our room had a buil in fireplace and the bathrooms were huge , the size of a bedroom. They had a walk in shower , plus a bathtub. They also have a pool , hot tub and massage room. My wife and I got deep tissue couples massage, it was worth every penny. Tomorrow morning we get a continental breakfast (coffee and pastries ) , but the pastries I believe are made from bouchon bakery. Edit : (Someone commented this maybe a lie, because you have to pay for the breakfast. When we purchased our reservation, which was about six months ago it included continental breakfast from bouchon bakery . We had to put off this trip for a while for varuoius reasons ie. children , sports , finding a babysitter that works with our schedule , LOL . We told the people at the front counter, and they said no problem, they will honor the free pastries as advertised . I'm not exactly sure if the pastries they carry are still made by bouchon. They weren't amazing , but weren't bad . Im not sure how it will work for everyone else. We It sounds like you may need to pay for the breakfast now , but that's how it worked for us . ) Don't pass this place up when looking for hotels, it has also been recently remodeled and everything is new .
