We stayed for 3 nights and it was a great experience! The suite was quite roomy and the view in the back was magnificent looking over the vineyard and the hills in the background. The manager (Nima) was nice and providing high level customer care. My wife needed some safty pins, so he got them from the store for her. Likewise, the staff at the breakfast (Jesenia and Odess) was courteous and caring. They both helped me with heating up my coffee a few times with a smile! I highly recommend this place. HORRIBLE experience. I fully regret choosing here for our anniversary. I even booked directly through their website, paid extra for the patio (all photos have a COVERED patio). We checkin and i know it's going to be raining so I paid MORE money for the patio that is NOT covered, we arrived at 5pm and no one was available. I love this hotel, the rooms are very large and comfortable. The staff are professional and the most important thing is the location. There are beautiful views all around of the Napa Valley and this place shows why you should come to Napa with its central location. You get good access to town and the local restaurants and wineries with out the hassle of driving 15 to 20 minutes every time you need to go into town. My colleagues and I had a charity event at Tre Posti from 12-4 p.m. on a Saturday and decided to stay at Vineyard Country Inn which was conveniently walking distance. This property is lovely - it was clean and quiet. The room we reserved was perfect - very large and spacious and had all the amenities that we needed. We did unfortunately have a bad experience with the manager, Nima. My colleagues and I went out to dinner at a small italian restaurant just down the street, from 6:00-7:00 which was timed intentionally so that we could take a dip into the pool/spa at the hotel before calling it a night. We entered the pool area at approximately 7:30 p.m and were approached by the front desk woman about 10-15 minutes later advising us that we had 15-minutes left. Nima, the manager, then approached us a 8:01, very aggressively and rudely shouting that we were already told that we had 15-minutes. It was literally 8:01 p.m. and the pool area closes at 8:00 p.m. Mind you, we were sitting in the spa at that moment very calmly and quietly. This situation should have been handled differently by a manager. My colleagues and I who are healthcare workers, wives, and mothers who work endlessly day in and day out looked forward to this trip together for months! Nima needs a lesson on professionalism and respect. read more

This place is adorable. Our room overlooked a vineyard and it's so cozy with a fireplace and so much space. Nima was incredible. He helped us to light our fire and brought us more wood and a bottle of wine! We couldn't take advantage of the pool because it was pouring during our stay but the pool looks great. We have been staying at VCI several times a year for about a decade now. Our friends recommended this place as a hidden gem, and they were right. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, location is perfected dead center of Napa Valley, and people working there are super nice. Property is typically on the quiet side, even though its conveniently located right off the main road through Napa This storybook Inn with an old country vibe (next to prime vineyard property) was one of the last up-valley locations where you could book a single night stay on the weekend, but unfortunately COVID-related business pressures recently forced them to move to the now all-to-common 2-night minimum. That said, at their pricing, they are still a very solid value/dollar vs virtually all the other hotels and Inns nearby. read more

Cozy, comfy and great location. It's nice to be within walking distance of St.Helena high street - all the restaurants, cafes and shopping are within easy reach. The suites are vintage (some would say they are outdated) style, with a brick fireplace and cozy furniture. They are roomy enough for a family to be comfortable. I like the fact there is a bar unit and a small dining table in the sitting room. Bedroom has it's own sink and mirror which is a nice touch. Breakfast is sinfully yummy pastries from the famous Model Bakery and coffee and teas aplenty. After hours there is no reception, we did a DIY check in. There is a cleaning service coming in every day which is nice after the kids have tucked into Model Bakery croissants. The grounds are beautiful, roses are in full bloom in late spring and early summer. The pool is small but adequate for children to splash in. Very importantly, it was reasonably priced by St Helena standards. Loved it, and would definitely stay here again! read more

My wife made reservations at the Vineyard Country Inn for my birthday weekend. Admittedly, when she said she booked it because it looked cute online I was like ‍ ‍ but once we arrived I was like this place is awsome. It has an inviting exterior which is surrounded by vineyards, but moreover, the interior was large and cozy. How many places you know still use actual keys to get into the room? This place actually use keys instead of key cards. ¹Once inside the rooms are separated; the living 1quarters with a couch, coffee table, t.v. and large fireplace with a log included. Next to the living area is the kitchenette with a sink basin and a 1refrigerator. This area also includes two wine glasses and two champagne flutes (a corkscrew). Then in the next room is the bed & bathroom. From the bedroom you can go out onto the balcony which overlooks the vineyards (so beautiful) and of course there is closet space with plenty of hangers for your clothing. The management is extremely nice, welcoming and accommodating. This Inn is close to many restaurants and wineries and in some cases they're within walking distance. This is our go to place during our future visits to St. Helena. Make sure you check them out if you are in the area. read more

One of the worst stays I've ever had in the Napa / Sonoma region. The manager is rude and unprofessional, especially if you show up after 6:00pm which he has designated as off hours. He had the audacity to treat us so rudely at check in that later he offered a free night for his bad behaviour. Even free is too much for this joke of an Inn with an unacceptable excuse of a manager. Do your self a favour and spend more to stay elsewhere. This place has bargain rates because the manager is a menace to the guests. read more

Just a shame of a bed and breakfast: The bad: Leaking roof, old hard spring $100 mattress, awful odor in the room, outdated by 40 years ( nasty tile, drapes and dirty old dark red carpet). Dirty air vents, cracked walls, old tube television, mismatched towels. Paper thin walls- listening to your neighbor flush the toilet and turn the showers on and off is not fun. Paper blinds, so every head light / 6 am sun shines right in your face. The good; Location, the room absent walls, vents and carpet was clean. Nice fireplace and very roomy. It's just a shame, this place could be so much better. I hated this place. Completely ruined our weekend. read more

Let me preface my review by saying that the room was lovely. It had nice decor, a fireplace, 3 (count 'em, 3!) sinks, 2 TVs, 2 queen beds, and a fairly big balcony overlooking a vineyard. We had to drive everywhere we wanted to go, but it was only 5 minutes to town. However, we were disappointed for the following reasons: -1 star for the breakfast. If you call yourself a bed and BREAKFAST you should offer a decent meal with eggs/waffles/meat/something, not just carbs and sugars (pastries, bagels, and sugary cereals). I can get that at any Best Western. -1 star for the location right on Highway 29. Yes, it is convenient, but not when you're staying in the rooms adjacent to the road. It was stuffy inside, but when we opened the balcony door, it was too loud with all the cars whizzing by. If I got a good rate, I would probably stay again, but make alternate plans for breakfast and request a room AWAY from the highway. read more

I love his place SO much! First off, the price is right. We got an amazing deal on this room it was so beautiful. White light in the trees at night. Actual keys for the room. Keys! Chimneys...because the Rooms have fireplaces! They have robes in the closets for you, & a red light special in bathrooms hehe. The bathtub is a bit small, but hot springs are 20 minutes away. The bed looks like a princess bed & there's a little balcony you can read or have coffee/tea/breakfast on. & we did! The breakfast is quaint. If you are a tap water drinker, the water is a bit moldy in wine country but this hotel puts free water bottles in the fridge they supply for you. The only thing is if you like getting in Jacuzzis it wasn't that hot so I suggest telling receptionist ahead of time to turn up the heat so it's just perfect when you get in. read more

My boyfriend and I came here this weekend to celebrate Valentines Day and our Anniversary. We booked last minute and compared to all of the other Hotels/B&B's in this area we got a screamin' deal. We were luckily able to check in about 45 minutes early. Our room was extremely cute, nice decor, a fireplace, King size bed, Fridge, 2 TV's (one of which was a Flat Screen), patio overlooking vineyards, couch and a small dining area/bar. Our room was very spacious and quite large. The only thing that I felt was missing from our room was a microwave... but we made do. The Vineyard Country Inn was conveniently located about a mile outside of downtown St. Helena, just about a 3-5 minute drive. Some of the yelps I have read on here stated that the Highway that the Inn is located near was noisy but it did not bother us one bit. I would highly recommend to anyone to stay here. I know the next time I am in the area this will be my first choice! read more

It was an amazing find !! Each one of the fireplace chimneys are different and attest to the special care afforded to each cottage room. The beds were comfortable, room spotlessly clean, cozy sitting area by fireplace, small refrigerator with cold water bottles, coffee maker in the room and fresh coffee in the lobby. I can't say enough nice things about my stay at Vineyard Country Inn. The service was excellent and my room was beautiful. Waking up every morning and having a vineyard view was wonderful. Was looking for a place to stay the night that wasn't going to break the bank and was also within walking distance of downtown St. Helena. The very nice old lady on the phone gave us a good rate for one of their 'suites'. $185/night is very competitive for this area. We arrived and were given the keys to the room. The room was clean, and pretty spacious. There's fake wood beams giving and almost English Country feel to the place. There's a small lounge area with a TV and working wood burning fireplace. That certainly didn't get any use in the heat we were experiencing. Bed was a comfy and King size! Bathroom was clean and newly refurbished. Was a fridge for the Sparkling Rose purchased just up the road. The room backed onto a small vineyard and was pretty peaceful, although you could hear the traffic from the 29 which the Inn sits on. We used the pool in the evening which was very nicely kept and clean. A 5 min walk and you are at Tra Vigne which is an awesome place to eat. Another 5 minute walk on top of that and you are in downtown St. Helena. All in all a pretty nice place to stay if you are on a budget. Probably not the place you want to stay if you are after the very best accommodation in Napa. read more

Just got home from a weekend at the Vineyard Country Inn. A shout out to my friend Chris F. for finding this property and setting up a great weekend getaway for our group of 8. This property was a great find! We are already planning a return trip later this summer. The property is conveniently located just South of downtown St. Helena on Hwy 29. Downtown St. Helena is quaint with many shopping and dining options. You could easily walk over from the property, it'd probably take 10 minutes or so (or be lazy like us and drive there). Every room is a suite complete with a working fireplace in the sitting room and a separate bedroom area. Our room had a nice lanai area out back, perfect for a late afternoon cocktail to wind down from the days activities before heading out to dinner. In the sitting area there is a fridge (filled with complementary bottled water), coffeemaker, and wine glasses to use. I think the couch can open up into a sleeper if you've got another guest with you. Our room had 2 queen size beds that were SO comfortable, it was hard to get up after sleeping so soundly! Also on the property was a small pool and hot tub, my friend Chris really enjoyed the hot tub after tasting wine all day. Breakfast is served in the main building from 8-10am daily. There was quite an assortment of fresh fruit and pastries offered. Everything looked delicious! Other reviewers report that they were offered eggs, I didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment. We really enjoyed our stay at the Vineyard Country Inn. We loved the clean, spacious rooms. Didn't have any issues with street noise. The staff all very friendly and helpful. We recently stayed here for our latest trip out to Napa - and it couldn't have been any more perfect! The hotel is located right off of the main highway and is conveniently located within walking distance to quite a few wineries. Another big plus, is that the town of Saint Helena is a five minute walk down the highway. This came in handy when we attended CHEERS! (See my other review) and again when had dinner and drinks the following night. The rooms are situated like mini-condos, where the entrance to each unit is outside of the buildings surrounded by lush flowers and vegetation. The room itself was pretty standard and old school. There was a living room with a couch, television, wood burning fireplace. Mind you, it wasn't the nicest set-up and the television is pretty old, but watching television was the least thing in our minds when coming out to Napa. Adjacent to the living room was a small table and bar with a mini fridge that was stocked with bottled water - this came in handy with all of the alcohol consumption during our trip! *As a side note, you can also ask the front desk for more bottled water - and they were more than happy to oblige! On top of the mini bar was some wine glasses and a corkscrew for you to enjoy some of the wine you want to enjoy that you may have picked up from a winery or two. The raddest part of the room was the balcony - which had a table and chairs, but overlooked the neighboring winery and vineyards. It was awesome to be able to wake up in the morning and open the french doors to the balcony that overlooked the lush, fresh vines. The BIGGEST PERK of staying at the Vineyard Country Inn - was that we didn't have to pay for breakfast any of the nights we stayed there! In the adjacent building (where you check in), there is a dining room with a TON of variety - and for a free, continental breakfast, it was one of the best I have had. The employees working made fresh eggs at your request and to your liking. There was freshly baked cakes and pastries, an array of breakfast cereals, breads and bagels, different yogurt varieties, freshly squeezed juices, milk, and freshly made french-press coffee that was brought to your table at your request! I would highly recommend staying at the Vineyard Country Inn if you are planning a trip out to Napa. It was close enough to walk to a variety of neighboring wineries and had the perk of being able to walk into the town of Saint Helena for shopping, dinner, etc. PLUS - it is within stumbling distance if you partake in the enjoyment a little too much! read more

For the day before our wedding and our wedding night, we needed a hotel that was close to V. Sattui for ourselves and our guests. This place offers a group reservation through a side number. No you dont get a discount, but what you do get is the reservation secured. I booked it well in advance, and never really expected it to book up so quickly like it did. We were thankful, and the place was very amazing. The rooms are spacious, the beds clean and cozy. Each room has an amazing waterfall shower head and enough areas for a few women to get ready. The property is intimate and romantic without being too expensive. We booked over 10 rooms for the two nights. All of our guests were estatic that they stayed there. The rooms open up to the cool Napa mornings with vineyards right in arms reach. The breakfast was amazing, its the typical hotel type but still lovely. The pool is small and the jacuzzi even so. But it was a November wedding, no one was really into it for the time. I will come back here, simply because its one less thing to stress about. They have a quick check out, with an envelope on the counter for receipts. read more

Was doing some last minute planning for Memorial Weekend. All the B&B's were booked or either pricey for my budget. Just needed to book for a one night stay to relax and do a mini get away trip. Came across Vineyard Country Inn and was skeptical about the small amount of reviews and no recent Yelp reviews. I called other places first and this was my last choice. Four day before the weekend, I called and they had room for my check in day. $200/night for a King size bed suite, oh what the heck! I was desperate! Upon arrival, checked out the outside and looks like a very comfortable B&B. After checking in, went to scope out the suite and it was very roomy! It had a big bathroom, two TV's (one in the living room and one in the bedroom). It had a fireplace, fridge and a sink in the bar area. Not bad for $200/night. Did I mention there's a 2nd sink in the bedroom? The bathroom was very clean and I was very impress. The next day we had the complimentary breakfast. It was basically bagels, pound cake, fresh fruit on the counter. They serve you coffee. I realize it's not really like the other B&B that actually COOKS fresh breakfast for you. I was not impress with their breakfast but I can't complain for the price I paid for for one night here. Overall, the price was decent for a stay in Napa but this is not really a Bed and Breakfast, it's more like an Inn similar to what other reviews. I did not get a chance to check out the pool and hot-tub, but I did passed by it. The hot -tub is quite small. I would recommend this place if you are attending a wedding in Napa and need to stay here over night. It's good to stay if you are on a budget. I wouldn't mind staying here again although I like to have some fresh breakfast serve to me in the morning! Not bad! read more

My wife and I originally checked into the Meritage, huge mistake. The corporate atmosphere and location were not what we wanted or expected. We quickly checked out and luckily stumbled on this gem of an inn. To start with the staff were very helpful and just all around fantastic. Bc we checked in last minute, we stayed two nights in one room and two in another. Both rooms were very clean, comfortable, spacious and the view from the porch was perfectly relaxing. Yea the tv in the living room area was a little old but if your watching tv instead of drinking wine and enjoying the view/fireplace then your doing it wrong! The location could not have been better. Perfectly situated around some of the best vineyards in the valley. Take a walk around St Helena, it's a great town for shopping, dining, and entertainment. While your at it, stop by the Anna's cantina, have a drink, and try your luck at stabbing a dollar in the ceiling for charity. Long story short, forget the corporate atmosphere of the the other places. STAY HERE! You'll be comfortable and have a little extra dough in your pocket to go out and do the things you came for. read more

We were desperate so we ended up in this place. But we didn't have any regrets. This place is very quite. The room is perfect with a patio. Romantic, clean and beautiful! This was our second visit and it was more than we ever imagined! Our room was amazing and our view of the vineyards was breathe taking! The way the room is set up, with a wet bar, dining space, living room with a fireplace and a bedroom plus balcony... We didn't feel the need to leave. We brought wine and snacks and we spent the whole day and night in our room. Once we got hungry for dinner we walked to a Chinese place and got takeout. Very convenient!
