I love Sephora, but I hated my experience here so much. I came in looking at FAB cosmetics b/c I love their products. While I was there I asked about their red clay line for FAB. At first the sales associate said it was for oily skin. So I asked her if it would be okay for my skin b/c I have combination skin. She told me it should be fine when I put it only on the oily sections of my face. So I requested a sample. When I got home I removed my makeup & cleansed it. When I opened the sample tub for the red clay mask & noticed immediately clumps. I ignored this, thinking maybe that's just how the product is. My mistake. I put the product on my face, & within minutes my skin began getting irritated & burning. The mask is a peel off mask & I couldn't even wait for it to dry b/c my skin was that irritated. So I quickly rinsed off the product & my skin was completely RED & BURNING. It remained that way for nearly an hour. I went online to check Sephora reviews of the product & realize that the product is supposed to have a smooth "plastic" like consistency. This means the sample I got was from an OLD tube! I bought my item and they were super nice or anything but I went to a different store and I ended up setting my Sephora bag down for a couple minutes and someone STOLE it. It had about 40$ worth of product and was the last one palette in stock. Security and the store could do nothing I went back to Sephora to explain what happened and see if the manager could give me a coupon or a free sample gift like the birthday gift or a points gift and the GENERAL MANAGER said she would be back and left me standing there for OVER 30 minutes. I saw someone who walked over there who looked like she was in charge to talk to the two other employees who were talking about the situation so I go up to them and politely say, "hey look you know it's fine (because I had been waiting so long and had to pee and didn't know where the bathroom was so I'd be long)", they pretend not to see or hear me and keep talking so I say it again a little louder and they just look at me and keep on talking so I left. I have spent thousands of dollars on with this company and I will be going to Ulta instead of here now. read more

My trip was quick overall. The cashier was very nice. But, as my friend & I were leaving the store, a male employee who worked there began making offensive/ derogatory remarks to us. It was completely unnecessary and rude considering that he saw us come into the store and didn't even attempt to smile or greet us. I love Sephora but the rudeness of that one particular worker makes me not want to give that location my business anymore. Being a makeup artist myself, I loved shopping at sephora because I can get a variety of high end brands without having to shop at different places. However, I will never return to the location inside White Marsh mall's JC Penney. After hitting the gym one morning, I decided to stock up on some essentials that I needed for an upcoming project. Considering I had been at the gym, I wasn't exactly dolled up or looking glamorous. I was wearing an old shirt and some leggings. My hair was in a messy looking bun. As I walked in, I was the only customer, and the two associates stood behind the counter, engaged in a personal conversation, one talking about how she was so hungover from getting "way too wasted" the night prior. I continued to browse, despite not being greeted or acknowledged whatsoever. One girl did, however have the audacity to whisper to her coworker, "Does she actually think she can afford all of that?! " After hearing that, I was so angry that I just put all of the product I was carrying on a random counter and left. I returned a few days later, full face of makeup and hair flawless. One of the girls from my previous bad experience was working, and she couldn't have been nicer this time. I didn't buy anything that day either. I took my $216 purchase to Ulta. read more

Ehhh.... I don't like this location! Mainly because of the staff... They are not quick to offer help and will wrong around such a small space and look as if they are busy but really are not... I wear some tanners that they supply and sell. I often have questions as the products change.... The staff never really seems to know the answers to the questions nor do they have a desire to find the answer.....
