If you want a quick wash and style for under an hour this is the place to be. I really appreciate how my stylist is always ready for me as soon as I walk in. The products are decent and I've liked my style each time I go. There's always good music playing and movies on the tv for your entertainment. Ample free parking as well. I called beforehand and asked two very important questions: Do you do ethnic hair? Do you wash and dry weaves. They said yes to both, so I scheduled an appointment. I arrive to see all black stylists so I'm optimistic. The stylist sits me down then proceeds to say "so we don't have a sit under dryer to dry your hair... do you want wet braids?" I confusedly said no I don't want to leave the salon with wet braids. So then she says "ok well we have a way of washing your extensions without getting your braids wet" meaning that they wouldn't WASH MY SCALP. I ask who goes to get their hair washed and doesn't wasn't their scalp cleaned. And why wouldn't you tell me you don't have a sit under dryer when I spoke with you on the phone so I didn't waste my time coming here?! She tells me "well some people don't mind having wet braids..." wet braids lead to mildew in your hair. And regardless of what people are ok with, as licensed cosmetologists, you should want to provide healthy services and/or make it clear your limitations before you waste people's time. I should have just continued to assume that dry bar wasn't for black people. Instead they proved that to me themselves. read more

As someone that frequents Drybar in multiple cities, this one loses a star for me because it doesn't follow the normal model. This location doesn't have mimosas like the others, now I'm not saying that makes or breaks the service, but it definitely adds to my experience. Also the lady at the front desk wasn't comparable to the other locations I've been to. She lacked the "umph" and kindness I expect from your first touch point in a business. Aside from the non experience aspect. This was the best blow out I got from Drybar. So all credit to my stylist. She was super efficient and understood my needs especially as a black woman. She did wonders on my shampoo and damn could she make a LASTING curl. She was attentive all the way until I walked out the door. She even caught me as I put on my jacket and got those last few fly aways. All and all, the hair service was amazing and I'll be back, but I do think there should be some improvements that uphold the Drybar standard. read more

We booked this appointment weeks in advance, how do you not have a stylist assigned and ready to go? On top of that, this location doesn't offer the typical Drybar experience as some other reviews have mentioned. No movies playing, no drinks offered. Instead there was screamo blasting on the TVs. I definitely want to hear screamo blasting at 10 am on a Sunday... How relaxing. The stylist finally popped out of nowhere and wasn't friendly. Definitely would not go to this location again. I know drybar is very location-based so I will continue to frequent other locations. I will give it a few stars for how happy my friend was with her results. read more

I booked an up do here for a wedding I was attending. I wanted something fairly simple, a low bun, some loose framing pieces in the front. While my stylist was kind, I don't think he knew what to do. I asked for a few changes to my hair and he even brought in someone else to help out. I left feeling like it looked okay and I could fix it up when I got home but it literally fell out on my 5 minute drive home. I tried to fix it, but wasn't able to and had to take the entire thing out. I had mentioned multiple times to the stylist that it felt very loose and I was worried it was going to fall out- it was even falling out as they were styling. I asked for a refund and was told they "don't do that." They offered me a free blowout that I will likely never use because I will probably not return. Pretty disappointed overall. read more

Worst experience ever! I booked an appointment and was told to the stylist might be "running behind." After 20 minutes, I asked if it would be much longer, and they assured me they were almost ready. Another 15 minutes went by, and they still were not ready for me. after 40 minutes, I asked if I could revive a discount for the wait, and after a lengthy discussion with the manager, was informed that no, I would not. Very pleasant experience with Sadya. I was greeted and seen promptly at arrival. I was the only person being serviced and it was nice to have my hair done in a large, well decorated empty salon. I low key thought this must be what it's like to be famous :) I explained the look I was going for (opposed to selecting a style from the look book) and my stylist didn't disappoint. I described how my last experience at a different location was not memorable and I feel like my stylist wanted to right the wrong. I had let my monthly blow out accumulate because I wasn't impressed with my results from the other location. However, today was such a positive experience that I booked a return appointment for the near future. If you are a textured/coiled hair girl like me, I highly recommend this location. read more

I was genuinely so excited to try the new store because I had had a previous experience in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and it was great a 10/10. I arrived to my appointment a few minutes before my scheduled service and the receptionist greeted me and offered refreshments. I could have sworn that wine was usually offered but I guess they only had water and tea at this location. Fine, that doesn't make or break my experience. From the get go it seemed like the receptionist was more concerned with getting her takeaway pizza from a place next door then actually working and being at the desk. I waited an hour for my appointment which was scheduled at 6:15 PM. At no point did anyone say, we fucked up on scheduling or we are backed up right now please come back another time. There were only three people actually doing hair. There were two other ladies waiting to get their hair done before me, which were being attended to by two stylists. The third stylist was working on another client that was there prior to me going in. It became evident that as the hour of waiting passes by that the two other stylists were going slow as possible on their clients so they wouldn't have to take me. I finally get grabbed by the third stylist around 7:15, mind you I was early to my appointment, Drybar closes at 8. I finally go through the whole process and said I just want a plain blowout to hurry and get out there. At the end of my service my stylist says is it okay if some of your sections are curly? I said sure, I just wanted to get out of this place after like 2 hours. This might be one of the worst blowouts I have ever had. A large portion of the back of my head was left curly, and my hair has so much product in it is feels tacky - like glue not tacky tacky. I've never had a blowout where I dont like to run my fingers through my hair but here I am, already waiting for my next wash so I can get all of this shit out of my hair. Drybar this is an actual disgrace, happy to share a picture of my "hairstyle". Go to an actual salon and get a blowout instead of dealing with this mess. read more

I typically get a Mai Tai and have always left feeling confident, ready for my next event! The only reason I didn't put five stars is because of the waiting time, which is to be expected at any hair salon. I'm taken anywhere from on time to 45 minutes later. I received a blow out and scalp massage from a stylist from this location. I had two weddings to attend in one weekend. The stylist provided me with the hair style I requested. For the second wedding, it started raining like crazy as I was walking to the ceremony site. Once it stopped raining I thought for sure my hair was super frizzy. My hair came out worse when I left than when I came in and I was of course still charged for the service. Allegedly my stylist name was Maci but for some reason no one knew. Hey! Are you a black female with relaxed hair? Do you want to be made fun of, ostracized and have your hair ripped out?! If that sounds like an amazing way to spend $55 PLEASE come to dry bar. My scalp hurts from how the " stylist" I use that word lightly brutalized me. She kept pulling and pulling and refused to use an actual brush. She used this comb attachment made for people without actual ability. It ripped my hair out more and more. And she kept pulling and pulling. She also was making faces and a general displeasure to be around. She dropped the attachment ON THE FLOOR and didn't even wipe it off. Can you get Covid in the hair? If so I probably have it. i am soooo sorry that me and my hair wanted some attention. Everyone around me had a brush used and a soft touch. She treated my hair like it did something to her. I've had so many blow outs and never had an issue but today I made the mistake of walking into Dry bar.. it is 2022.. if you don't have stylists that can handle chemically straightened hair then maybe put on your site. BLOW DRY for people with super easy thin hair. If any texture don't come in! It will save people the embarrassment. As a first responder I'm soooo glad I get to be treated like a 10th rate citizen. My head hurts, my hair is fried from her inability to use heat protector before using a flat iron like a rookie. I will never go back here and it's fine . Stumbled upon this location through Yelp and had an amazing experience. Super easy to make the appointment online. I was running a little late and the staff was very understanding and helpful. I don't often leave reviews, but this experience warranted one. I arrived to Drybar with my friend for our 5pm appointments at 4:45pm. We were greeted and asked if we would like a refreshment, which we both passed on. They said they were just waiting for the previous client to be finished so we could both be taken back together. The previous client was only being dried at 4:45, so we said we might as well get started as we had somewhere to be at 6:30. My guest was taken back at 5:05 (for her 5pm) and absolutely loved her blow out. She was finished by 5:30. Her technician then went on to take another client EARLY for her appointment as I sat waiting. Finally slightly after 5:30, I was taken by another tech. My blow out appointment took over 1hr (mind you, we had somewhere to be at 6:30 and when scheduling were told to expect 45 min.....). There were periods of time the technician was yanking the brush through my hair. My hair looked like it does most days when I blow it out myself at home using my Dyson, I was not impressed at all, but again we were running late so I didn't have time to be picky. We then were late to our prior engagement, and my hair had completely fallen to straight by 9pm, when it usually can hold a curl for 3+ days when done at home. While their blow dries may be wonderful, their scheduling is far from it. I had an appointment scheduled days in advance to get my hair styled for an important event and was informed less than 24 hours in advance that one of the stylists was injured and my appointment was no longer available. They were completely unwilling to work with me to keep my original timeslot even though I explained that I had a reception to go to and couldn't move my time, and when I complained I was told to speak to the owner. If you have somewhere to be and need your appointment time honored, this is not the place for you. read more

From out of town for a wedding. The young woman who did my hair was very sweet but very inexperienced. Did not know how to do beachy waves. More important, she did not use any heat protection. Someone else did my daughter's hair at the same time. Instead of waves, she straightened it, looked like she never had it done.
