Awful. I asked for help with eyeshadow for an important event. I typically just wear a wash over my lid but needed help with crease technique. I didn't need a full face makeover just a little help with eyes. I came right in the am when I knew it wouldn't be busy and I think there was one other customer in the store at the time. The MA was acting put out and just wanted me to buy a brown mini palette...didn't consider my skin tone just talked about hers which is much darker than min. Didn't consider my eye color either. When I asked if she could show me how to apply it and that I'm a VIB so I have a card for a free makeover she first said "you would just do it how you said, make a crease slightly above your crease". It's not that easy, I just wanted her to show me because I was nervous about the event the next day and had no clue what I was doing. It was obvious she just did not want to do my makeup for some reason. When I asked again she said I had to make an apt and that all she could do is one eye. She just seemed so put out. I left, feeling like crap but I have limited time today and now have to drive to another sephora. I spend so much money at Sephora I shouldn't have to beg for help with an eyeshadow look. They've spent more time matching my foundation or telling me about skin serums before so what's the big deal. read more

I LOVE this Sephora! I only work in the area and stopped in this one. I was immediately greeted by Kelsey, who was very friendly and helpful without being too pushy! She allowed me to sample a few different things before making my purchase that was a gift for my best friend. Definitely a better experience than I have had at other locations and plan to come back here in the future. read more

The sales staff are pretty bad, they don't really know what they're talking about, but they have the beauty IQ computer in the back which can help with basically any question. So I removed one star, but I don't like talking to sales reps anyways, their lack of knowledge didn't really affect me. That being said, the selection is phenomenal! They have everything I could ever want and more. Makes me spend too much, but that's ok. read more

I really like this Sephora location. Everyone is always so helpful and friendly. When I needed help with finding new foundation Felicia who works there was very helpful and found me some great products. She color matched for me and showed me how to use them. Every time I go in for something I always leave with what I needed and I never have to wait long in line. read more

Stopped in here last weekend with some family. First off my daughter was not feeling her best but still wanted to come to spend time with her grandmother and aunt. The sales staff ridiculed her appearance not directly to us but within ear shot. These included adults in their 30's and 40's making fun of a child, how ridiculous of a person do you have to be? If that was not enough, it got worse. My sister needed an item she'd seen online, searched the store herself, until unsuccessful she hunted down a clerk. Clerk said they didn't carry it in store, but my sister had been the second person that day to come in looking for it. My sister said maybe you shoul carry it. Clerk said my sister old call corporate with her suggestion. My sister said but I just told you. The clerk explained relaying suggestions wasn't her job, if a customer wants to make a suggestion they have to call it into corporate themselves. What is going on at this store? read more

I ran in to pick up GlamGlow. One item. The girl at the counter tried convincing me to buy a different shade than I came in for, because they were out of stock. This girl stuck her pinky nail into the jar and wanted to put it on my skin to show me. Gross. They apparently don't teach their employees about sanitation and the importance of using sample sticks. Nope. Never again. Thanks but no thanks. read more

I walked into the store and I was greeted by one of the girls and she asked me if I had any questions. I asked for the location of a product and she walked me to it. I was happily browsing for about 30 seconds and then another girl asked me if I needed help. I said "no thank you". I kid you not about 60 seconds later the same girl comes up again asking if I needed help. I said "no I don't". I go back to looking and two minutes later the SAME girl comes up again to ask if I needed help. I was getting a little irritated so I left that section. I went to check out the Nars makeup and there was a different girl there who would just stare at me. I was just focusing on the blush I wanted so boy was I creeped out when I turn to the right and the girl that had been staring at me was doing lunges a couple INCHES away from me. I wouldn't have been creeped out if it wasn't for her knee being in my personal space. I'm not too sure what she was trying to achieve with that. I finally found a blush and stepped in line. There were two girls at the register who were chatting away and would not look at me. When they finished their chat one walked away and the other one stared straight ahead. She didn't move her head even the slightest because if she did she'd have to acknowledge I was there and then ring me up. A different girl finally came and rang me up. I'm not sure, but I think their work atmosphere is clouding reality. You are NOT supermodels! You work retail at minimum wage ladies. The store itself has lots of nice products and they have testers of everything which is really awesome. I wouldn't go in there unless I absolutely had to due to the staff though. read more

I stopped in this Sephora because it is closest to my work (usually go to Woodfield). I overheard a salesperson talking to a client; her advice was succinct, honest and helpful...no gimmicks, no BS....just straighforward..."like this product will work the best with your skin". After she was done with her customer, I asked her to help me find a foundation. She said her name was Leah. She did a foundation "test" on my skin and suggested the YSL line. We tried a couple of colors, looked at them in the light and found the perfect shade and coverage. I asked her to suggest another "new" product...something that impressed her. She showed me a primer by a company called Milk...loved that, too. Also, asked for concealer..we tried a couple of shades and found the perfect one. I highly recommend Leah as she is the perfect mix of professionalism, fun, talent and overall great knowledge of the products and customer need. I HIGHLY recommend any age client asking for her help should you be in this Sephora...for the record, I am 50+. :) read more

I went into this Sephora for the first time hopeless and confused just looking for make-up. This is when I met Sandra (I think she called herself a color specialist), while talking to her she realized a lot of my complaints about my face weren't just with the wrong make-up but also the condition my skin was in (really dry and sometimes would flake). She brought in Ally into the consultation (the skin care expert). Ally has changed my life in only one day. The products she recommended are fantastic but she also took the time to teach me how to use them correctly, why they work and what I should see as a result. After cleaning my face and then Sandra taking just as much care teaching me how to use a better foundation and blush/bronzer they have set me up for success. I walked out of the store feeling more confident and happy in my appearance than I have in a while. Thank you Ally and Sandra! read more

Typically, I don't tend to spend all that much on make-up however I have been slowly changing that as I have been educating myself on everything. My coworkers are the complete opposite of me and they are obsessed with make up..everything they pick out and even put on themselves look amazing! One of them had visited a Sephora store and had experienced that process where they took pictures of her skin to see exactly what would fit well with their skin tone. She had raved about this process and how it was such a simplified process and it helped with what she was looking for overall! I had decided to stop by this location of Sephora since it's the one closest to me and see if I could find what I didn't even know what I was looking for at the time! Kristin had discovered me in the Makeup Forever section and probably witnessed right away that I was ever so lost as anyone could be in that store. I explained my type of skin and what I was kind of looking for..she had explained all of the products of that line that might be useful for me. Then she offered to go through that taking pictures of my skin to see what would fit perfectly for me. Then we had found all of the products I was interested in trying out and she had helped me with all of the details and questions I even had. She made sure I was happy with the look and it made me feel unbelievably confident! She definitely devoted enough time to answer my questions and make sure I felt confident with how the make up looked on me! I will definitely be coming back in for anything I could be interested in and if I need any other make up help or even advise! My friend lives in the area so I tend to go to this location at times. I think it depends on the sales person. Sometimes I have really nice girls assist me and sometimes not as nice before, but that's everywhere you go! I wish I remembered one associate's name it was a few weeks ago or so. He was super nice and extremely helpful. He seemed genuinely friendly and attentive to what I was looking for. So far I like this location! read more

I was in need of a new primer and foundation and had a general idea of what I wanted but was not sure what I really needed. I had three sales associates that were helping me: one that greeted me and helped me with product then directed me to a makeup artist at the makeup bar, the makeup artist (Thania) who was so very helpful, and the associate at the checkout who was very kind and friendly. I was having kind of a down day before I came in and all the ladies did such a wonderful job with helping me find an appropriate color that matched my skin tone. Their warm demeanor and eagerness to help made me feel so much better. I was so pleased with their suggestions for skincare and makeup technique. I had never used the makeup bar before but would definitely go back again. I was so appreciative of all the fun samples and the birthday gift :) I prefer this Sephora over Ulta and MAC and will definitely make it my new makeup supply home. read more
