Nadia was so kind and so sweet while I had other Sephora employees pay me little mind, but Nadia was so happy to help and had great conversational skills. Yesterday I was on the hunt to "reinvent" myself New me, new look, new everything. A sweet girl named emerald greeted me and I immediately loved the vibe. I told her exactly what I needed and she helped me. I was able to find the perfect LYS foundation, bronzer, and setting spray with her. As well as TWO! Huda Beauty lip kits that look amazing on me. I appreciate the time these girls took with me, and graciously appreciate good customer service. They listened to me yap quite a bit. Which was nice. I dont write reviews like this at all but i just had to say this. I Went into sephora to buy a gift. Met this rude employee name Lupita. My first interaction with her, I asked her where something was. She had a nasty tone of voice when I asked. I got the hint so I just walk through the entire store to find the stuff I needed and quickly leave. I noticed her and her coworker didn't really help. They Just stood still and talked non stop. Just my luck, when I went to purchases my item, Lupita was there to ring me up. I just wanted to buy my things and go, yet during that 2 min interaction, she made it so unbearable. Nasty attitude the whole time. I dont know if she was having a bad day or not but raising your voice, glaring and servicing with a nasty tone of voice was totally unnecessary. Does customer service exist in this store ?? I've never been in a Sephora ever where I was not greeted upon entry. Many associates kept walking past me and not once offered assistance. I prefer this Sephora versus the one inside JC Penney. It's bigger, cleaner, and way more customer service oriented. They usually have around 4-5 beauticians ready to help instead of the 1-2 inside the mall which is nice when you have questions like me. I love the Sephora incentives and the freebies they give away. The "Beauty Insider" rewards you when you reach certain limits. In the peak of my days, I was a VIB Rouge which meant I could come in any day and get a full face make up application for free. ::sigh:: I get so excited during my birthday month, because they offer a free gift. But later I saw a group of girls at the drunk elephant and they were destroying the products. Went here tonight with my daughter's and I can't get over the customer service, was awful. I walked in greeting people as I do, and no one said anything I even thought I would give them a another chance to greet me and it was silent!! As I was walking around the store the employees started following me, saying nothing just walked right past us. I need up asking the employee for a few things that where not on the shelf, as they where talking to another employee,before i could walk away they finally asked if I needed help, as they where already helping me because I asked, I proceed to tell them I would ask if I needed help. They replied with okay well we close in to minutes. I thought to my self it's that time already and went to check out, asking the girl at the Register if they always close that early and they said ulta didn't that they where probably open. I just had to have the new Rihanna Fenty lipstick so I went to the Sephora store at fashion fair Mall. When I walked in it was slightly busy but there are many representatives and to my surprise nobody greeted me at the store entrance although there were several people standing around. So I of course started to do my thing and yelp blog and I even took several pictures and there was a big variety of lipsticks and face cream make up by many different brands and I got about halfway through the store and still nobody stopped and asked me if I need help. Finally I located the Rihanna section of the store and as I was looking to see which color is best for my skin tone I noticed two representatives looking at me as if I were going to put something in my pocket. I just continued to shop because if they would've asked me for help I would've been out of the store faster. Finally a representative named Haley approached me and asked me was I still doing OK. I let her know that I was looking for a lipstick that I didn't see there she found it for me and I went to check out. The lipstick was $25 which is more expensive for lipsticks. Going forward I may order online instead of having to go to the store. I gave the store three stars because they do you have a lot of high quality brands and a lot of selection you just have to know what you're looking for. read more

I also said that I was wearing sunscreen and he told me I'm not supposed to apply sunscreen on the bottom of me eyes LOL he said honey sunscreen doesn't go there and rolled his eyes. Sephora has great products available, and good ways to test the product out. I feel this location has gone down hill though. Many of the samples are usually gone, having been stolen. It's generally pretty messy, and you have to double check that what you're buying hasn't been opened. There will be no one to help you if you have questions, and you can't really ask the register people as there is a line of people waiting to get checked out. For some people, make up may be a natural thing but for me, I would sure like some help and guidance. Their products are fantastic though. Multiple brands, and even the Sephora branded products are pretty great. I'm not sure if this location is sub par because it's in the middle of JCP or not, but next time I need something, I think I will go to the new location in River Park. That location is not convenient at all since it's way further away and parking can be a hassle, but maybe the customer service and cleanliness will be better. read more

Went in for a brow and lip wax Fatima was unprofessional and rude completely disregarded what I said I wanted for my brows and absolutely ruined them then she wanted to thin them out more I said no and for the lip wax she left two spots of hair making me look like the monk from nacho libre and I'm still picking wax out of my nose but what upset me the most is the attitude she had the entire time I apologized for being on the phone but I've never had that as a problem with others I've been doing my brows for over 20 years and the way she said "I can't do your brows if you're gonna be moving your face and talking you need to hang up so I can start" so I said okay but she didn't need to be so rude or upset by a birthday phone call from my sister and when I spoke to the manager on the phone after I left she was also very rude I was trying to just inform her that Fatima was rude, unprofessional and didn't listen to what I wanted and I got an attitude from the manager as well so now I have round brows and a mustache like the monk from nacho libre I had to go elsewhere and pay for them to remove the hair she left I even showed her how I wanted my brows my left brow just needed to be cleaned up. It was already shaped fine. My right brow needed a little bit of shaping, so what she did was she ruined both eyebrows and, and of course she was upset by the fact that I didn't love the eggplants that I now have for eyebrows and when she offered to fix them, I asked, isn't that going to make them thinner and I like my brows thick she said no that it wasn't going to make my eyebrows thinner. I'm not an aesthetician but even I know the more hairs you take off the thinner the brow is going to be I don't know who let her graduate or if she even has graduated I would imagine she had to to be working at a Sephora but she doesn't know what she's doing and neither does the manager it was literally the worst Sephora I've ever been to and the manager told me that a service that I've had done at at least seven different stores that I can think of doesn't exist in Sephora's at all i've had brow mapping at every Sephora that I've been to except this one if your store is subpar, that's fine, but don't say that Sephora doesn't offer a service that other stores definitely do read more

Yesterday I ran in, having only 10 minutes before I had an appointment at the Apple store, looking for a Dior product and a face wash. The young lady who helped me was fantastic. Most of the time the staff is very nice and helpful but sometimes it's like you can never find anyone and when you do they don't want to seem to help you. The customer service here is amazing. They actually go around asking if people need help. They went to the checkout line to see if they had a small version of dry shampoo for me instead of just telling me where it would be, they ran to the back to get me something that wasn't out yet and then let me sample it even though they didn't have a tester yet. These people work, it's as if they own the place instead of just work there. Also, another time I was here the cashier helped me with a return when I didn't have my receipt, I told him it was online and he thoughtfully asked if I could pull it up by email. I've been to other Sephoras where they probably wouldn't want to put in any effort and they would've just said, "no I can't help you," judging by my previous experiences. There was particular employee who was at the front when I went in. I can't remember her name she has a Hispanic name and blonde highlights. I think I heard she was a lead or manager? Not sure. But she will be the reason I'll visit every other location in town and even shop online before I come to this store. I shop often as i have been a rouge for at least 7 years. I get we all have our days but nothing excuses being rude and mean. When i asked and waited politely for a foundation match of the Mario foundation I told her I was thinking of 12O but while I do have an olive undertone I am on the lighter side so it might be too dark. She volunteered to match me and swatched the one shade (12O) on my neck and chin while looking around the store and at the door( if she couldn't help me properly because she had to watch the door why volunteer to help me and give me attitude and be rude to me for the whole 2 minutes she did help me) she barely looked at my neck and chin while swatching the foundation and said "yeah that's it" and said "we don't have it ." Didn't bother to really look at my neck and chin or in the drawers underneath to see if they did have the shade. Or even to order it for me. Which worked out for me. I responded "I will just order online". Paid for what I had and left. Got into my car, looked in the mirror and the foundation was so dark it was so clear to see the line. I ended up driving to the river park location where I was matched with shade 6W not 12O. Skip this location if you can. read more

I go in almost frequentlyy and their guest service never improves. They rarely have a person in skin care. The sales associates don't ever approach me to help or you can find 3 to 4 of them chatting in a corner. They don't get to know you. I even attend their classes and being that I go in often you would think they know my name. (This is a review for the Sephora INSIDE JCPenney.) To be fair, I'm not a girly girl. I don't understand make-up. I don't get why these scary clown-faced girls think that five layers of bright blue eyeshadow is a good look. I don't admire them, and I definitely don't want to look like them. I don't think they believe me. I went in here, looking for something to wash my face with. I'm nearing my 30s and I heard that I should start a skin regimen (?) now so that my face doesn't look like a sheet of melted plastic by the time I hit my 60s. I walked in and was swarmed by clowns who zeroed in on my virgin skin like they were zombies who were sick of the same old thing and wanted to taste something new. I was handed bottles of crap that I'd never buy. I had things smeared on my hands. I was encouraged to dab creams on my face like a lab rat. I humored them at first, hoping it would stop..but then they started saying, "Okay, let's rub this one in on this side of your face, and this one over here..and then, can you tell the difference?" Uh, no..they both make me feel creeped out and on edge. You know in the Wizard of Oz, where they get to the Emerald City and the strange-looking, but really happy people are clipping and curling them to get them ready to meet the Wizard? And Dorothy is singing and they're all "That's how we laugh the day away in the merry, old land of Oz.." ? It was like that, except NOT FUN. You girls are TOO pushy. If I say I want to look, just chill the hell out and let me look. If I come in with no makeup on and tell you, "As you can see, I don't wear makeup very often.", then handing me an annoying, bulky basket to fill up is pointless. I thought the final touch was nice. The girl who had been helping me left for her break, so another girl took over. She told me they don't work on commission, but that I should come back to her anyway so she can help me with my skin care regimen. Here's some news..my skin care regimen? If you are black don't go into this store, unless you enjoy being followed and treated like a criminal. Out of all the times ive been in this store I have been followed by several employees and asked a dozen times if I needed help. They seemed to focus all their attention on me and not any of the white customers in the store. The last time I went in there my sister and I were looking at something and an employee actually walked from across the store and stood right next to us, like we were really about to snatch something that was worth 5 dollars! That made me so angry I returned what I had previously bought and walked out of that place. I love sephora, but I hate this store. I will never shop there again. This is perhaps the worst customer service I've experienced in Sephora. Of course, we must go back there because of the inventory, but the sales staff is not friendly at all and quite snobby. Now, keep in mind that I am from the SF Bay Area, where I *know* snobby salespeople, and here I am, now in Fresno and *they're* showing me attitude? Sephora...long before you ever made an appearance in Fresno I used to travel to your stores in the bay and in SoCal, I was also an avid catalogue shopper. This Sephora is a little small in comparison to what I am used to...not so bad though, Their sales people are not as overbearing as some places but they aren't that helpful either. To tell the truth I look around at many of the staff here and wander whether or not I should ask them any questions at all. Do I come here often...to this location honestly no...not unless I really need to get something quick that I know is only at sephora otherwise I wait till I am in the bay again to get my fix. Overall it is alright, pretty much in allignment with the chain of other Sephoras spinkled around here and there.
