This location was definitely not what I think of and expect when I shop in Sephora stores. I live in Pennsylvania. We have many Sephora locations that feel luxurious and are maintained very neatly. FYI, Yes, I have a service dog and often require extra assistance. I always appreciate good customer service ... today there was none to be found. Prior to entering this store in the Cape Cod Mall, I spent approximately two hours and over $400 at a clothing store. I was looking for specific items. I did not have my walker with me today. I had many bags and went to the register and said, "excuse me." It appeared that there were two employees (one might have been training). I wanted to set my bags down out of the way. That way I wouldn't knock anything over. No response. There were a few employees stocking and/or rearranging products that appeared to have spilled out onto the floor. I was ready to spend a decent amount of money. Instead, I left and spent much less money on items from Marshall's. Very disappointing for a VIB insider. read more

Get in the store to buy my daughter favorite bag from Sephora the tag in the shelves is marked $64.00 do when you get in the register the price is double,spoke with the manager about the wrong price and she tell me "take or leave" I pay the double price and tell her I'm going to report to BBB ,she said go her monthly latter the store call me to give back the extra charges ,but is no about the extra charge is about the way handle the situation so rude treat you like no respect she know the store is wrong and no accept no apologies or sorry ,hope the reviews help the other customers sometime don't pay attention when pay and end up paying double the price the law is however price is in the shelves end the tag the store have to honor the price ,and the manager( Jennifer need more about the consumer affairs law. read more

I haven't been writing reviews. Bought a house, moved back to NYC, and college applications = overload. But I was up at the Cape a few days after seeing Comics Come Home 27 at TD Garden and left my makeup bag in the trunk of a friend's car. I was unable to retrieve it (God knows why, as I had rented a car) and my skin was dying of dryness. I wish I had written down the lovely woman's name (not Athena but something like that). She guided me to the Tatcha display (I've been using many of the products since 2017) but a full Dewy moisturizer was in the car en route to CT from the Palisades and I didn't want to rebuy. She directed me to a product I've never used, and as the kids say, I'm obsessed. The blue Indigo mask (it's basically a heavy night repair so not sure what makes it a "mask") but I absolutely love it. Now that I have my stuff back (both the stuff in the car and the bag left in a trunk), I'm still using it. I didn't have an account and she signed me up, which gave me a little discount on the stuff I bought. Plus a free gift of a product I absolutely love. The shampoo/leave-in conditioner/body wash travel set is terrific. I would buy that shampoo and conditioner in a full size. It was a terrible rainy day after a horrifying move in which I lost security deposit, got robbed /betrayed, lost original files, and much more. I will always remember this little light in a dark time (plus endless bank loan nightmares: US BANK is the absolute worst on so many levels but I didn't choose the lender and now I'm saddled with a bank that has NO branches in NYC or CT, and can't manage to send checks, or debit card). The Cape Cod Mall is much bigger than I expected. They had vegan cupcakes and treats in a vending machine by the front entrance. Also, I cannot disagree more strongly with the snobbiness other Yelpers are describing. She didn't hover or push me to buy anything. Sweet young girl and the rest of the staff had zero attitude. Nothing like a Sephora in a big city or expensive large town. This didn't even feel like a Sephora. Just a beauty store on the Cape. read more

I shop at Sephora a lot. Especially having 4 daughters. My teenage daughter was trying some lotion product but the bottle was low. She attempted to squirt it several times and by the fourth attempt of course it sprayed out like a rocket and made a little mess. She walked away to grab tissue (being the lady and the good kid I've raised her to be) to clean up with small mess, before she could come back the store manager yelled at her and scared her away! I told the manager to never yell at children and that she had presumed wrong in thinking my daughter was intentionally making a mess! She said "oh well this is a store and I'm the manager Sarah, they were making a mess I don't care" I guess that means she does and says what she wants yelling and frightening young girls and speaking rudely to paying customer. Very unprofessional. Extremely rude. The store testers are always low (case and point) Do better Sephora.. Apparently anyone off the street with anger management and rage issues can be a manager at Sephora in the Cape Cod Mall...ekkk read more

I always hate going into Sephora, first the store is so small and the layout of shelves makes it impossible to look around when other people are there. The keep certain products behind the register so you can't look at them until you go to check out and the check out line is always really long. Second the employees are incredibly rude, unhelpful and slow. Every time I go in they make rude comments about my purchases and if I need assistance they tend to ignore me or pass the job onto another un enthusiastic employee. When I did purchase something here I waited in line for almost 20 minutes (there were no more that 4 people ahead of me) then when it was my turn the cashier spent more time talking to another employee than checking out my one item, then when it came to pay I had to got through a million hoops just to purchase the item. The asked for my email and told me I would not receive any emails other then the initial one letting me know that I made a purchase but I continue to get emails every day. Finally they are horrible about giving you your change so if you pay cash make sure you double check the amount of change they give you back, my friend lost $20 because they "forgot" to give her the change due. Overall I do not recommend going to this Sephora. read more

I was shopping minding my business not wanting to be bothered and two workers both uncomfortably and awkwardly came close to me watching me like they worked for the damn FBI!!! Even though this isn't the largest Sephora in the world, this shop has all the goods you need for your beauty supply needs. The staff here is also very receptive and every time we shop at this store the store it is well stocked. Overall, this is a decent location with a decent selection and great staff. read more

I used to shop at the Sephora at the Pru. When the Hyannis location opened, I was so excited. Since their opening in '12, I feel there is a decline in this store. First off, no disrespect but the make up artists aren't well informed. I have eyelash extensions and the girls are clueless as to what products are oil free and safe to use. Secondly, the products and quality IMHO have declined somewhat. Lastly, the makeup artists wear really tacky almost Halloween-ish makeup. Seriously, the classy gorgeous make up artists that I have met in the Pru location aren't here, that's for sure. It's an off vibe here... read more

I'm glad there is a Sephora on Cape. I don't like that when I asked for help I was given a makeup lesson and products I was uninterested in were used. I like the return policy, one of the concealers I purchased caused skin irritation and I had no trouble returning for a new product. Stick to what the customer asked for. read more

I was asked by my bright eyed and excited 13yr old to go into Sephora. Imagine my disappointment when I walk into this store with the intention of spoiling my daughter and getting her some advice from enthusiastic employees but are instead ignored by SEVEN Sephora employees. Not a single one greeted us, asked to help us, or acknowledged our existence. I will spend my money elsewhere. I LOVE SEPHORA!! I've been to Sephora stores all over the country. I shop often online with them. Love having one near by at the mall!! It's a small store compared to most, but seems to have the basics. Unfortunately, the staff is just not up to par compared to the other stores. Sales associates in most stores really know all the products. I didn't find the staff in Hyannis knowledgable or forthcoming with suggestions or help. They all seemed polite, however. So, unless you know what you need and where it is in the store, you're better off online. Although, who doesn't love a store full of make up?? :) read more

So glad we finally have a sephora on the cape! I had been driving to braintree until we got this one. This store is pretty small and they dont carry all brands, so if you're looking for something specific I would give them a call first. Store is new so its hard to judge how the staff is- they seem friendly but not super educated on the products or the VIB program yet. I've had to ask them to put the point on my VIB card, and had a slight issue with the last VIB promo where the cashier wasnt sure if I could get the promo and cash in my points for a perk, but it was solved quickly. The really nice thing about this store is that since its new and small that you dont have to rush in for promos and limited edition items like you do at bigger stores. I used to have to line up outside of other stores an hour before they opened in order to snag a VIB perk or promo, but the hyannis store always seems to have them even a day or two later. They will not just hand them out though- you have to know about the promo and ask for it, even if they scan your VIB card. They also STILL have the summer skin safety kits (one at least) months after they'd sold out every where else and they currently have the lip favorites set which is sold out online. Worth a call if you don't live in the area and are looking for a specific sold out item. Store is clean and testers are always stocked. Sale section is very tiny. Because the store itself is so small and shaped kind of odd, sometimes the perfume section smell can be a little overwhelming. I hope that they continue to train their employees, I know jobs on the cape are hard to come by so I don't always trust that the staff is really into/knowledgeable about make up and skin care. read more

Visiting from CT and used to the very nice staff who works in the sephora near me. When i came to this store it was a totally new experience. I was not greeted once by any member of the staff and no one asked me if I needed help finding anything. Maybe if the employees were more interested in helping their costumers and less interested in their own conversations I would come back. (Also didn't have the product I needed. ) read more

I am a travel nurse and have shopped in Sephora all across the nation, over the past 15 years. While Sephora has built their company on customer service that is not the case in this Sephora. I have been to this store more than once, while I believe on giving anyone a second chance. So today was their third, I walked through the entire store and past 4 different employees and not one single person spoke to me or greeted me. I then asked one employee a question they answered it and that was the end of that. I had plans to spend between 2 and 3 hundred dollars and chose to walk out. I had a bad experience with Sephora years ago and avoided that store. I finally went back and tried to purchase 2 lip glosses. They were out of stock and said they would mail them to me for free. Next day I get an email saying they were out of stock of those lip glosses -- no "will send them later" or any other resolution. I called they customer service number and spoke with rude Brittney who said they were out of stock and gave me a number to type in on their website. I did and they surely had the lip glosses, but were charging me $5.95 to send one to me. What happened to "out of stock" and "free mailing"? Sounds like a scam to me. read more

Usually when I go to a sephora I feel like I am being judged and being treated like a little kid. When I came to this sephora they politely greeted me and asked if I needed any help finding anything. My friend got a color match in the Naked Skin concealer by Urban Decay and she was so happy with the shade match. When I was done picking out what I wanted and was at checkout the lady made casual conversation with me and said "Have you seen the new highlight pallet by ABH its soooo pretty". We talked makeup for a little while and then I walked out the door with a big smile!! read more
