One would not think that you would find me here at Sephora often, but this is the store that I always visit to buy my hair and skin products. Interesting story about this store that I have read. The company began in 1970 in Paris, then was acquired by Dominique Mandonnaud in 1993, who merged the purchase with his own perfume chain under the Sephora brand. Thereafter, they sold to LVMH which has grown the brand expeditiously. Not sure what the ownership status is today, but obviously the Company has been quite successful since its first started. What I like about Sephora is their assisted self-service sales experience, which is not as common from their competitors. My main reason for shopping at Sephora is for Men's shampoos and face creams. read more

I have been elevating my skin care routine and decided to take the plunge and see what I could grab at Sephora. Fortunately, there are associates everywhere because I didn't know where to start with foundation to reduce some of the redness on my face as well as when I get acne. Val and other associates in the two times I have been there were very accommodating in ensuring I had the right foundation per skin tone as well as a cream that helps reduce inflammation. Had a horrible experience with Ninette. Purchased a 60 minute make up application. I felt like she didn't know what she was doing and I left there looking like a clown. I was holding back tears. Usually my go to Sephora is Boca Town Center but I tried getting a make up session in for a friend's wedding, they did not have any availability. I tried my luck at Gardens Mall location, and Sephora did not disappoint. My appointment was with Lisa and she was phenomenal. I wanted a bit dramatic eye make up and less foundation on the face. She really listened to what brands I wanted to try plus with the foundation I wanted her to decide. I loved the Milk brand foundation she used on me. This company uses all natural components and does not put any fragrance in their products. I highly recommend getting their foundation and highlighter. I've been using the highlighter non stop on my vacation. In lipsticks I wanted her to put outlaw (name of lipstick) by Kat Von D since my bestie recommended it prior when looking at the outfit I was wearing. Full make up sessions are an hour long and you need to purchase aleast $50 worth of products. But if you are in Sephora that's easy enough, I ended up buying a 6 pack lipstick set from Sephora, highlighter stick, and outlaw lipstick (spent about $80 on these products). I really wanted to buy the foundation too but I had two new foundations at home, but there is always a next time.~ read more

I didn't actually enter this store looking, I wanted to purchase my favorite everyday scent. Sadly, they have removed it from the store shelves and made it available online only. Have no fear, I met Luis. He was able to look online and ensured me it could be ordered but why not play and see if anything else met my preferences. He found a couple of wonderful choices, one so new it wasn't in the store just couple of weeks ago. They are happy to make samples so you can try for a few days to really see if you like it mixed with your chemistry... they don't always smell the same on each of us. Went to buy a face mask and to redeem some of my beauty insider points. I received an email about a product I could redeem my points for, and when I asked if they had it, an associate pretended she didn't know what I was talking about and was very rude. If you want to be ignored, this is the Sephora for you. I came in during the Rouge sale at 1pm today. While I walked around the store, I passed no less than 6 employees and none acknowledged me. The prices are high but no other store does it quite like Sephora. It's one of the only places that makes it readily available to try out the products before you buy them. They house just about all of the top brand beauty products, except MAC cosmetics which has it's own shop in the mall. I walked in on a Thursday late afternoon planning just to replace my foundation, but makeup artist Heather offered to show me how to use some gorgeous eyeshadows made by Makeup Forever, and I loved how she made me look. She showed me several different colors applying them on my eyelids and I bought four of them plus a subtle soft coral blush in a complementing color palette and they all fit into a cool compact with a mirror which will be great for travel. Heather also showed me how to use a contour bronzer and a highlighter in tones that are subtle and natural. She spent at least an hour giving me a complete makeover that I had not anticipated but which really looks great, even at home and in broad daylight. This was a valuable experience and I highly recommend Heather and Sephora. read more

i love sephora and buy all my makeup here! however, i have a huge problem with the sales associates and how they treat half of the customers. don't get me wrong, i have encountered a few REALLY nice and sweet sales associates who work here, but the sad reality is that most of the employees are snobby and give a lot of customers condescending looks, especially if you're not wearing makeup here YOU WILL BE JUDGED. that being said, i came in about a week ago to finish up some last minute christmas shopping, i was looking for a certain product from Huda Beauty; the easy bake setting powder. i noticed they were out of the most popular shade, so i went to the nearest SA and politely told him i had a question , he kind of just looked at me and said "WHAT" super harshly in a mean tone, i showed him the product i was looking for and asked if they possible had a new shipment. without even checking he rudely snapped "we don't have it here just go order it online". now if he had handled the situation differently and had actually been polite i wouldn't have had an issue. but there was no need for him to act the way he did and snap at me just for asking a question. bottom line: people here are VERY rude and nasty and act like you're in their way or bothered because you're trying to ask them something about a product. my advice; just don't even bother asking for help at this sephora, research online if the product is available beforehand and don't even talk to any SA's because they're horrible. read more

Trying to return an item, I accidentally gave the wrong receipt bc the name was similar, but I also had the correct receipt. Not sure what her name was (older lady), but she would not even try the second receipt claiming that I didn't understand and radio'ing to the manager that she had a customer "demanding money back." Because I showed her, look it was the WRONG SKU #. Call me crazy but Shouldn't an employee understand that? This woman was so freaking rude I wish I would have caught it on tape-- it was that bad! When I walked in there was barely any hi or hello and continued on and I didn't think anything of it. But then as I continued there was no customer service. I came in to look at a foundation and I was trying to find my shade. As I was at the display swatching and applying it no one but this one worker came up to me and said "ooh I've been excited for that foundation" and didn't say anything else and ran away. Thanks for the help. And at the end when I found my shade I really wasn't sure if I wanted it. The only thing I've heard about it was the annoying girl that said she was excited for it, not even if it was good or not. So I looked around the store, to be honest I didn't need anything I was just trying to convince myself I didn't need it. And again everyone was ignoring me. But once the same girl sees that I have the expensive foundation in my hand, she comes up to me all in my face and asks if I need a basket. So overbearing I honestly felt forced to buy it.
