I decided to visit Sephora while I was in Pembroke Gardens. I love to see what new products they have and try on some old favorites. I actually was looking for a perfume that I am running out of. This perfume brand has 6 or 7 varieties. Of course, the one perfume I wanted I did not see. There was no display for that scent either. I asked an associate and she advised me they do not have the less popular scents in store due to space constraints. I ended up buying a smaller version of a difference perfume. At checkout, I was advised about their Clean by Sephora brand which only has non-toxic/non harmful ingredients in it. I was really intrigued but I wish someone would have mentioned this before checkout. It just seemed like an odd time to start educating me about this when they were about six people in line behind me and only one cashier. I do like the remodel of the store. Yes Sephora can be crazy pricey, but you get what you pay for! I love this location and the one in Aventura so much. If you want quality customer service, with makeup consultants who love the art of makeup, and live for the brands, then come to a Sephora. These two locations always has a happy and willing employee ready to give you the best advice on the products you need. I've bought some of my best products, and became loyal to brands I never heard before, after testing out the products they suggested. Sephora also has a badass loyalty card program. I received many goodies as a result. Their loyalty program is way better than Ulta's in my opinion. I say this because the points you collect every purchase made do not expire!! Which you wouldn't think is a big deal, until you come to a Sephora location (even if it's been months or years) give them your number and all of a sudden you're leaving the store with free face masks, lipsticks, mascaras, etc. Overall, not a place to come often if you are on a tight budget, but it's always fun to play with new makeup and treat yourself. read more

I admit I typically stick to online for the bonus free samples but once a month I make it a point to pop into this store for the makeup classes! I do enjoy being pampered and getting my makeup done here (free with a $50 purchase hint hint) but it's also good to know how to do it yourself! I usually schedule a Saturday morning class, they do it right before the store opens. You walk in and there are about 4-5 makeup artists who will help you set up the custom parts of your station. I went for contouring recently, so they asked me my preference on foundation & concealer, being a VIB I already knew my brands & shades. My friend didn't so she was given the test to find the right hue and based on skin type they recommended a brand. We then went to our stations which had the moisturizer, brushes & finishing spray. There is a master makeup artist that gives the class. He goes step by step and the other makeup artists are close by in case you need some help. He gave different suggestions based on if it is an every day look or glam. Everyone was so nice & friendly! You don't have to buy anything after the class but I'm sure you will find a new product you love! I had a basket & have been so happy with all my purchases. Also in the store you can get samples of different products, up to 3 in each area. this is how I found my favorite products and since I have allergies this makes it easier to test before I buy. This is the closest full-size Sephora I have nearest me. While it's very convenient, I can say I've been adequately helped here very few times. I came to buy a Nars foundation, and I had to pretty much hunt down an associate to help me and every time I'd ask someone, they'd claim they didn't know the brand. Long story short, eventually someone came to help. I went home, and when I put on the foundation near a window, it was way too light for me. I ended up having to come two additional times to exchange the foundation. When I finally got the correct shade, it was a brand representative who helped me., not a Sephora associate. I can say this location is convenient to purchase something in a hurry, but if you need help, go elsewhere. I personally don't recommend this location. read more

I've been coming to this Sephora for years and their men's section has shrunk in size. It's shoved all the way in the back and it barely has a corner to itself. It's hard to get all the way back there at first but you know it's the men's section because they are all huddled around there. This Sephora is located in Pembroke Gardens. It is a store on the larger side and was neat and tidy. They carried some stuff that most the stores do not like Pat McGrath make up and La Mer skin care. My friend and I were warmly greeted when we entered and we were also asked if we needed help finding anything. My friend and I are pros LOL so we just went on our way to find what we needed. They had plenty of throwaway utensils to try the makeup as in disposable mascara wands and disposable lip gloss sticks. All of the sample products were neat and tidy. My friend and I also got three samples each I'm between perfume, skin care and lip care products. The employees were more than happy to give us the samples and also explain to us how to use them. The line was short and it only took us probably three minutes to checkout from start to finish. I have come to this Sephora for years as it is in a convenient location (lots of other shops and food spots right next door) and close to my house. I've always come to buy colognes for myself, or maybe gifts for friends and family. However, the store is small and is PACKED with merchandise so I often feel cramped and dizzy from all the activity going on. There isn't much walking space with all the foot traffic the store has. Not only that, but being male, I really only go for myself when I need cologne, and the selection of cologne used to be MASSIVE. I've gone there several times over the past month with the same experience, no greeting (not even when you walk past the employees as they are deep into conversation) and not asked if I need help with something.
