Several employees working the front of the store but none approached her or even said "Welcome to Ulta"... She had to approach them a few times with questions regarding a few products she found and they were helpful. I never realized that Ulta sold men's products until today. They did have a few, and I mean a few, small shelves of hair care dyes and face wash gels. The prices were steep $23.00 and much cheaper thru Amazon which for the 3 oz Forming Cream you get TWO 3 oz for $23.00. Big cosmetic companies on display - Lancome, Charlotte Tilbury, Kylie, Clinique and Estee Lauder. Several aisles of hair tools too. read more

I had my first Ulta Signature Curly Haircut and a wonderful experience thanks to my stylist, Marilyn. She was absolutely amazing--very nurturing, professional, and communicative throughout the entire service. I came in with an idea of what I wanted, but I truly appreciated and trusted her professional judgment, which made me feel very comfortable and confident in her care. The base cost of the service was $82, and I was also recommended the Cecred Repair and Hydration Treatment for an additional $32, which my hair genuinely needed. If it's your first time going, just be aware that add-on services may be suggested, and you could end up paying more than originally anticipated. Overall, I would love to return and receive more services from Marilyn in the future. She is truly a special stylist, and I trust her completely with my hair. I usually have a great experience whenever I come here. I've come here for in-store purchases, store pickup and a return one other time and never had an issue. That's until today. I came in today to return something that I brought yesterday. The young lady that was helping me was very nice and helpful. She was even able yo let me know when my points were due to expire since I couldn't see it in the app. I showed her my receipt in the app, gave her the order number and she began processing the return. However she needed a manager's approval. Not unusual. Well the manager (Mika) comes over and begins reviewing the return asking for the receipt from my email (as if it says something different than what's in the app. They both showed I used points and paid the difference with my card). But whatever no biggie. She then tells the young lady that she'll take over. From there on out, I was asked to see my receipt 3 times as if she suspected that I stole it or something. Mind you it was an online (app) order that I placed yesterday for curbside pickup. So I didn't even go into the store at all regarding this order but to return it. It's always US (iykyk). read more

I've been a member of this store since 2005, and over the years I've seen different managers come and go. Unfortunately, many haven't taken the time to properly train the staff on discounts and important dates. The staff is friendly, but that's not enough when situations arise that require accurate information. It's also concerning that the current manager gives misleading information about the store's promotions. I believe it would be beneficial to rotate managers between different Ulta locations. This would help prevent a sense of ownership over a single store and give others the chance to shine. Change can be a good thing. Giving everyone the opportunity to grow and show their strengths will lead to better results and an even better customer experience. read more

Did an appointment for a hair salon with the stylist Jocelyn she canceled the appointment hours later by text and then 10 minutes later called saying that the appointment was canceled. I followed up with her and told her that online it allowed me to schedule it so I was a little bit confused on why I was getting canceled no consideration or nothing just cancel it. This is actually not the first Ulta other cancels, a hair appointment for me. I went back to the salon because I had a secondary appointment for one of my close friends to see if we can get accommodation as it wasn't our fault she was tripled booked. Not only did she grab my powder from the back, but she also put me on to one of her fave products -- and let's be real, swapping makeup routines is every girls' dream convo. A girl named Dominique came to help us and gave us amazing tips and helped me find a great concealer. Amazing customer service and she deserves a raise or some sort of reward. Placed online order with in store pick up. Went to the store to check fragrance tester prior to pick up. I was told that there are no testers available for either of the two fragrances that I wanted to try. Instead I was told to open my order to test it and return it if I did not like it. I did just that right there in the store then asked to exchange it for the other fragrance option. After waiting 15-20 minutes, the manager who brought the replacement item from the back shouted out that I need to join the line to do the exchange. Ignoring the fact that I've been there with my child in a stroller waiting. I joined the line and waited another ten minutes. When I get to the front of the line we realize that the manager brought the incorrect item. Instead of returning the perfume she started speaking out loud that she needs to examine the box to make sure I did not remove the bottle of perfume then she takes the bottle out and stares at the perfume ( remember I have not left the store at any point) and says out loud that it's defective and cannot be resold. She then says she cannot do the return because it's not showing up in their system I should give 48 hours and come back. Dear Ultq, please train your managers. Ulta is great. They have everything you could possibly want that is beauty related. They have some testers so that helps. I did want to sniff a couple perfumes but they did not have the spray on them. They said testers so why remove the part where people can test them? I also thought they were somewhat limited with their perfume selection. Otherwise they have so many brands and varieties of haircare, skincare and hair tools...the list goes on. I like how neat the displays are. This makes it very easy to find what you are looking for. You can join their rewards program. I did a while ago but usually forget to give my phone number at checkout. You can earn dollars off your purchase and they used to give you a little birthday gift. I forgot to go during my birthday month for several years now. Maybe I will remember for next year. ;) read more

I was looking through the Bare Minerals products and selected what I needed. When I turned around to leave, one of the associates, Jackie, said that she had another product to show me and brought me to the Pur section. Jackie explained that the Pur products were just as good as Bare Minerals but they were Vegan friendly and cruelty free and while she was telling me that, she applied some Pur primer to the back of my hand. It made my skin feel really silky and I liked how soft my skin felt. I also liked how well their concealer covered up blemishes. I decided to get the Pur makeup even though I had a $10 coupon for Bare Minerals. Jackie was very helpful and seemed very knowledgeable. Ay, this was a disaster. Sort of. I use a very specific detangling cream for my hair. It's very difficult to find online, and when I do, I question its authenticity unless it's directly from the manufacturer. That said, I usually purchase it at ULTA for cheaper and I've never had issues. Essentially for this visit, I went in for that particular hair cream and a nail file. I was able to purchase both and I even had a sales associate help me find the nail file as I don't usually shop at this location. So then why the low rating? It's as easy as pie. They need better safety measures during COVID-19. Way too many people at the store at the same time! I must have bumped into at least two or three people while in there. Also, not enough direction as to where to line up to pay. Not to mention six feet social distancing enforced only by stickers on the floor. I just did not feel comfortable there. They need stricter enforcement. That said, I'm not against returning if absolutely needed. I just think I'll have to do curbside pick-up, and if not, there's always ordering online. read more

It's been a little while since I visited this Ulta. For whatever reason, they stopped sending me the promotion catalogue and emails. While purchasing my products I brought this to the attention of the cashier. She checked my account and confirmed everything was correct except my email was missing for some reason? So she entered it back in and told me that I should be receiving the catalog and promotions again. But since I hadn't received any of the catalogues and coupons I asked if there is any way to offer a discount this time and she said there is nothing she could do. So I asked if I could speak with the manager. I explained the situation to her and she seemed less than intrested and again stated that I should be receiving the catalog and promotions again. But since I have been told that in the past and never did receive them, I asked if she, as the manager, could offer any discount for this purchase. She then looked at my account and said I hadn't been in for awhile. I stated, that's probably because I never received the promotions and coupons! So based on that, she said there was nothing she could do. I signed up as a member with Ulta since they opened back in the 90s! I guess the manager never noticed that and therefore treated me like I didn't matter. And if I haven't been to the store in awhile, this experience definitely does not ensure to make me want to come back!!! They both suggested I contact their customer service number, so I did. I spoke with Rodrigo who didn't have any answers as to why I haven't been receiving the mail and emails. He apologized for the way the staff acted in the store and also said I should be receiving everything going forward. He too said he couldn't do anything else. So I escalated the call to the manager Amanda and expressed a very big discontent! After advising her of what happened & how this situation was handled, she apologized profusely and said she would speak with the manager there and offered me some compensation. And she stated that if the mailings and emails didn't start arriving, to call back. This store has so much to choose from, it is mind-boggling! You can choose from luxury or mainstream brands of makeup, shampoo, skin care, body care and the list goes on. They also have a section where you can get your haircut or get a facial. They remodeled the store in the past couple years and I do like the update. What I'm not liking is that whenever I come in here and need assistance there is nobody to be found. They also never have enough cashiers to help people check out. I waited in line much longer than I care to think about to buy my beauty Goods. They also don't seem to open up another register when necessary. The line snakes halfway down the store too often. I have been going with Imreza for a curly hair for over 9 months. The first haircuts were mostly hair trims but when I wanted a different style she totally butchered my hair. We agreed in a length but she cut way too short. At first I did not say anything or complain but I'm sure she saw it on my face that I wasn't happy. I visited this location on a Saturday afternoon. It was very busy in the store. There were many people having their make up and eyebrows done. They have a benefit counter and many different lines of makeup. There were several employees in the store who were doing customers makeup. It was difficult to get assistance due to the number of people in the store. When I entered the store there were 5-7 people waiting in line with two registers opened. The line improved as I walked through the store to find my items. The wait was not long for checkout. The cashiers seem to be moving fairly quickly. There was plenty of parking in front of the store. The shopping plaza was very busy. I Parked a few stores down but the walk was not far. There is no parking garage near by. read more

As the previous review said, they have their own line of cosmetics and soaps as well as tons of brand names, On the left hand side of the store you can find every drug store brand you can imagine--and more! They also have a travel size brush section which I love. (Why pay $8 more for a longer handle?!) To the right of the store is the heavy hitters. Smashbox, Urban Decay, BareMinerals, Pur, Benefit and lots more. They also have a huge perfume section, Yankee candles, fitness supplies, hair accessories, sunglasses, blow dryers, straighteners, hair care (Redken, Paul Mitchell, BedHead,SexyHair, Matrix, as well as drug store brands) nail polish, gift sets... OHH! AND A HAIR SALON!! This place really has it all. The staff is very friendly as well. I've always had snobby people 'taking care of me' in Sephora. That's definitly NOT the case here. The hairstylist called out for an emergency which I understand, things happen but to not have no one else doing hair... not professional of them. Ulta doesn't have a limit on how many transactions you can make w/ or w/o the coupon . 2. I'm the customer and this is The job you chose to partake in . I'm not the reason you guys are short staffed . 3. I wasn't rude nor disrespectful . She makes the comment "well why do you have to do so many transactions , and how many are you going to make because you're holding up the line " . I still kept my composure because it's closing time and it's Sunday , of course you don't want to be at work understandable . But I lost my marbles and decided to reach out to corporate after a customer who was NOT in line behind me asked for a color match and she replies "give me 10 mins , because they are holding up the line making multiple transactions " First off it doesn't matter what me and you are discussing because you're helping me just like I had to wait so do everyone else ! It's not your place to discuss with her how you're helping me !!! Thats highly offense ! You're acting as if I'm not a paying customer . That's the equivalent to tell her my card declined ! I handed her my phone to scan the coupon in her hand , she pushes it back to me on the counter , just no etiquette what so ever , and very unfriendly . I'm not sure if little miss Caitlyn is racist ! But today was not the day to play unfair . So I've reached out to corporate ! Not to jeopardize anyone's lively hood but simply to let ULTA know that the people they choose to represent their brand needs to be retrained and if the job is too hard to do GO FIND SOMETHING YOU'RE HAPPY with ! Customer service is the worst. Little to no interaction whatsoever - doesn't explain why the line is always so long. Woman with short curly hair at the register (Breanna) had me holding up my phone showing my receipt (because you do need a receipt to return an item right?) and doesn't bother to say she didn't need it. This is a tough one. I'll admit I'm a Sephora girl, I'm use to top customer service and personalized attention. But ulta has a few locations for a quick trip & lower priced options. With that being said it is a lower priced option so it makes sense things are slightly messy, not a lot of staff attention and you can't try on product. I came in here for a quick polish & to use my monthly coupon for a gift. Not much help from staff and a product I wanted was out of stock. I also called earlier to see if there were appointments for the Benefit brow bar & was disappointed to find the girl was not in work yet since I didn't book an appointment although the sign said the brow bar opened at 10am. I noticed her beautiful work and decided to make an appointment. Fast forward, I have been going to her for 6 months now. She sets my appt for every 4 weeks. She is fantastic! She takes her time and really takes care of your eyebrows. She ensures to leave alone the spots that need to grow in.
