It's been a few times that I've came especially like today and honestly, I need to start getting the workers names and better descriptions because low-key everybody looks alike but today I'm just walking around how I usually do and even though I come in to get a certain product I still like to look at other products just strolling and this rude lady came up to me and didn't even give me a choice or not gave me one of those little cart basket things to put your products and even though I only had a one product and she says here I hope it helps and Rushes along like if she was forced to do that so I don't know. I know it's their job to ask people if they need help but that was unnecessary energy that I didn't like although the lady at the front today the one with the curly hair she was super nice. Stopped by to get some Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover because this house brand is the only thing that removes my waterproof mascara. I've been using it for years. I was able to pick up a bottle & afterwards was trying on perfume samples. It's nice because they have paper tabs you can just spray on to test the scent. There were lots of new scents I've never seen before. I'm in a change-of-season mode looking for a lighter, less musky scent esp. since the weather's been in the 80°s. I didn't find anything that suited me but at least was able to smell some. I like how they have the perfume bottles anchored with an extendable wire to prevent thefts. Attendants were helpful from the time I entered til the time I left. After I checked out, I was asked if I needed any help & remembered I wanted to check out a Kosas concealer. I was brought to the Kosas area & attended by Joe. He said he'd color-match me to avoid the guesswork. It's a hand-held device that is set to your forehead & cheek to get closer to the color tones of your skin. Joe chose a couple of shades & tested it on my hand then on my face after he sanitized the tester. I checked it by the window & settled for one mini-sized concealer. I also asked about a pressed foundation product as my Shiseido had been discontinued. He showed me a Dior balm type of product so he did the same test w/a couple of shades, sanitized again & tried it above my chin. I told him I'd wear it while walking around Whole Foods & see how it wears in the day before buying. I asked him for some tips to set makeup under the eyes & he gave some suggestions. I addressed some skincare concerns and he was limited in knowledge but that's fine. In time I'm sure he'll gain more experience. I'd say the associates I've worked with in the Nordstrom Beauty counters have more experience, IMO. Nevertheless, there are a ton of product lines including the Sephora brand which has its own merits. Brands evolve & I like to see the new products offered, new technologies incorporated, new colors & formulations. I like the convenience of buying online & pickup except for the locations at Kohl's. There are a lot of Sephoras in the area which is nice & their rewards program is an extra perk. They always have new sample sizes for 100 point rewards redemptions every month which is fun to look forward to. I've even redeemed La Mer skincare sets for 500 points! They also offer various makeup application classes & have certain product line events where they're launching new products. You can sign up online & check their calendar of events. read more

I've never visited this location before. But upon entering this store is so open and doesn't overwhelm me. Which I usually feel in a Sephora haha. I was greeted right away. Which yes is a minor gesture but it feels welcoming and I'm more inclined to ask for help. I was just trying out some product and a sales associate Lorenzo ( I hope I spelled this right) was just so nice and friendly. It was like talking with a friend. I found him to be very welcoming and kind and just a overall good person. The hours for this store are ridiculous. It's in a major shopping center and closes at 7pm. Absolutely ridiculous. What do they expect for people to get off work and immediately stop in here? No other store in the center closes at 7pm. These hours are insanely inconvenient. I'd rather just order online and get it delivered rather than pick up in store. This is the store closest to my home. I continue to be disappointed with the customer service after moving here from Austin. Service reps are very nice on the floor the majority of the time. I consistently feel that the staff at the register is unpleasant, borderline rude, or indifferent. Why is this store consistently out of bonus point rewards as well? I asked some questions at the register yesterday and was not treated nicely, hence this review. I came to Sephora because I lost a lipstick with a color I loved. I debated going to a drug store but needed help finding the right color. I walked into Sephora, showed the greeter, Adrianna, a picture of me wearing the color and she swatched three lipsticks, found the right one and checked me out right there. Javon was so so friendly, she helped me figure out how to link my phone number to my Sephora account, asked abt my day and any fun plans, gave me info on some features of the app and throughout the interaction was just so patient, informative, kind and didn't make me feel rushed. I purchased expensive colognes fro this place. At my last purchase I was told that during the month of my birthday I'd receive a gift of my choice. I was told that a cologne gift set of "Savauge" would be available. I contacted several stores and they all stated this particular item [only one I wanted] they'd been out of for some time. Under the guidelines of the FTC this could be both "false ad" and/or "Bait & Switch". I wish I could rate them a Sub-Zero rather than 1-star...they don't deserve anything equivalent to a star. It's my store and the employees at the register are really nice and helpful. But the employees who stand at the door. Need a little more training on customer service. If you're standing there Looking at the everyone that walked through the door at least acknowledge your customers and say hello instead of just Picking and choosing who you wanna greet. I walked into this Sephora for the first time not knowing where the front counter was nor was I greeted or asked if I needed any help from the 4 ladies standing right by the door. which I did need help since I had never been inside before ended up walking and finding the register myself. I've been to this location three or four times and they've always been very helpful but this was my first time back since the pandemic began. They practice social distancing and don't allow for personal testing of the products but they are helpful in providing a swatch if you want to see what a color looks like. Associates are attentive and always there to help when needed. read more

This is my favorite Sephora because I can park right outside versus North Star or La Cantera. It is smaller though but I usually come just to do a return or exchange since I shop online. This store does not have all offerings of the brands I like to use, but they have wonderful customer service to make up for it. Today I received excellent service. I've never been to a Sephora that wasn't inviting. I walked the entire store tonight. Several employees gabbing. Never once did anyone greet me or ask if I needed assistance. I found what I needed and headed to the register. I wanted a dupe product I read about. It felt nice in the store to be able to sample it. I was a bit annoyed I lost all my points because I didn't use them by January. Oh well! Maybe next time I go people will be friendlier. This probably will be the only Sephora I would go in San Antonio! As much as I love Sephora I usually really didn't enjoy going in to stores for employees' attitude, but not this one. Every time I visit this location, staffs are very friendly and helpful! Nobody ever made annoyed expression when I asked for help. Not sure if it's because this location is relatively new, but it's always clean and not as busy compared to other location. They tend to have good stock of items that might be sold out online. (I'm a Rouge member so I shop at Sephora OFTEN. Been to stores all over the globe. Tried all the things.) Good: Large store with a good range of brands. Capacity still limited so it didn't feel overcrowded. 2 kind staff members. Bad: The sales staff was SO pushy. One blonde lady in particular was very forceful and persistent. If a customer says "no thank you"- listen! There must have been some bonus commission happening because she took everyone to one brand no matter their desires or budget. Each time I walked by a group of staff they were either talking badly about a customer ("Oh well, there's plenty of other women that will buy it. 100 more for everyone 1 like that.") or speaking badly about their fellow employees. I was in need of my birthday gift for the month if December. I have shopped many times in this location and each Tuesdays i get told my birthday gift item is not available, i keep getting info on 2 different gift items (which i know nothing about) hoping the reps would clarify, but they all assume I understand their line of business. The store is so nice and clean once you walk in, it's visually appealing, staff are very friendly I did need to ask for help and she kindly and professionally told me she'll get someone to take care of me in a few minutes. She introduced me to Paul and he was so sweet, didn't stutter, didn't act shy. He has amazing social skills, he was funny/relatable just overall what I imagine the poster child of Sephora being. If there was a question he didn't know of the top of his head he'd go the extra mile to find out. Overall above and beyond.
