One person did the color IQ for me, and as I was waiting for the results to arrive, another person offered to help me find something for my skin tone. Emma helped me find the best foundation color match for me and was very patient and genuinely helpful as I checked my skin tone in multiple lightings. She also helped me shop for a product that would reduce the visibility of my pores. I'm thankful for the help, and left with a sample of foundation, skin primer, and a leave in conditioner that I had my eye on. They are not helpful at this location at all. I went in with my baby daughter strapped to me looking around at products. Noone greeted me at all or really came to help but I still felt like I was being watched. I guess I don't fit the criteria of who they want shopping at their store. If you're looking at me then how about you ask what I need help with, are you not an expert at this kind of thing? And then someone questioned why I was looking at lipsticks when I said I was looking for tinted foundation. The last time I checked, I'm a customer and I can look at whatever I want? I was a kid in a candy store! Upon entry, it smells fantastic and surprisingly not overwhelming at all. It's bright, it's colorful, it's vibrant and I was greeted as soon as I walked in. This is one of the biggest Sephora's I have been to and I absolutely love the selection of items they have. They have most of everything in stock and a wide variety of items I rarely see in Sephora that are located in the malls. The staff here are very nice and helpful. I've been here on a handful of occasions and I am always helped out. They have helped me pick foundation and recommended some of my new cult favorites. I also love the location of the store since it is in Winter Park and in the center. It is close to many other locations such as bakeries and restaurants and shops. read more

I absolutely love love love this location!!! I actually went two days in a row just because how inviting the environment is! If you know me, you know I am a Sephora connoisseur and not only is this location ideal the staff is just amazing as well. It's a very well kept store and you know those stores that have the over bearing staff members that you know don't really want to be there, well here that is not the case by any means. It's a super welcoming environment, all the staff is phenomenal and cheerful which I love, best word to describe it is relatable. Like the girls just get it you know! i went to sephora with my friend about a week ago, and we were so so excited to go checkout new products and restock! but unfortunately this shopping trip took a turn for the worse. ETHAN, a hispanic man with short black hair up to his shoulders and circle glasses ruined our day. so getting to the point, my friend goes up to pay, mind u she has emptied her sephora bag and everything has been scanned. the lady cashing her out lets her pick a birthday gift, she asked my opinion on what she should get, as i'm responding, ETHAN goes "next in line" im at the front , still holding my bag with my products as im CLEARLY not checking out with my friend, i put my leg over and slide and the people behind me moved up and we all look at eachother and i go "i was next?" very softly and kindly , ethan looks at me so dumbfounded and says WORD FOR WORD so rudely and annoyed "i thought you were checking out with her, the line is back there!" as he points behind me, and profusely apologizes to the other people and then just gives me such a nasty, stuck up and stank look, and as i go to defend myself because he's clearly trying to make me feel bad WHEN I DIDNT DO ANYTHING WRONG lolll i say "i'm not checking out with her? i was just giving her my opinion on something had you waited 5 seconds for me to finish you would know that, i have my bag of makeup clearly in my hand" as im finishing that sentence he cuts me off and raises his voice "THE LINE STARTS THERE, next time you wait there" the ignorance , the arrogance, ethan really disappointed me at sephora, such a nasty person with a disgusting personality, i don't think people like him should be in this industry if you do not know how to talk, treat or respond to people. truly such a shame, i told the manager right away because it genuinely hurt my feelings and made my experience there so so bad, and all the manager did was say okay and sorry, which is also a shame. so crazy how sephora really just hires anybody these days. will not be returning here and i will be spreading this story onto my socials and others so ethan doesn't taint someone else's day or experience. read more

Good merchandise. Poorly staffed. Two cashiers with 42 people waiting to pay. I left as it would have taken 30-40+ minutes to buy a gift card. Came back the next morning at 10. One cashier but only 3 in line. Bought a gift card. But they were out of gift card holders so no way to present it well or communicate the value of the card without handing the recipient the receipt. This Sephora location has easy parking and is not overcrowded. It's a standalone. My sister and I were greeted when we walked in and quickly assisted in locating what we came in for. Then we hung around and browsed the fragrances. Upon checkout I received some unexpected samples, which were a kind gesture by the cashier. Overall, lovely shopping experience. read more

I was Christmas shopping with my 3 year old son and my wife. We went in to buy holiday gifts for our family and friends. The staff should not be pushing an agenda other than selling perfume and wishing people a Merry Christmas. Instead they tried to push Pride Flag stickers to my 3 year old "boy". Rainbow stickers in the shape of a Q are quite honestly not something any organization should be pushing on anyone let alone children. What happened to Christmas Trees, Snowmen, Santa Clause and more? shame on you Sephora, so stick to selling makeup and lotions and keep children out of your political agenda. Walked in and was immediately greeted by a friendly and helpful employee. She pointed me towards what I was looking for and I was able to play around with several different sheer liquid eye shadows. Tested them out first on my hand and then gave in, using the little test wand on my own lid to get the color I wanted. Spent $10 but I am excited to try it out. Walked to the front area to check out but one of the ladies got me to check out right by the entrance instead using a small handheld payment device which was great if the store was busy and I just wanted to check out quickly. UPDATE: the liquid eye shadow is absolutely lovely! It showed up nicely behind my glasses with this golden sheer. While it's a great location, it is definitely a smaller Sephora. I feel like they have limited stock and I never find what I'm looking for. If they do have something, I recommend order pick up so you don't have to wait in a long line! Finally a stand alone Sephora in a less congested area than Millenia and Florida mall. The location is so convenient! Located in the same plaza as Whole Foods, it's right across from Nordstrom Rack. This Sephora has the full layout of everything. I even feel like they might have a bigger selection. Today they won me over with the Color IQ shade matching technology. Love it! They use a small handheld device to scan your forehead, your cheek, and your jawline to match you with not only foundations but concealers and lip colors from all the different brands. Let me tell you, this thing was spot on! The main foundations and concealers recommended were the ones I already use! I definitely did a sigh of relief to know I'm wearing the right shades. If you're like me who feels 90% sure you're wearing the right match but sometimes it's hard to tell because of certain lighting, I definitely recommend you stop in to get matched. Gorgeous new location in Winter Park is everything we girls hope for when it comes to light, airy, and well-stocked beauty meccas. Upon my first visit this morning I was greeted by no less than 3 different employees. This Sephora just opened last Friday and I am KICKING MYSELF that I was not present. I greatly appreciated that I was able to spot some product I have not found in other Sephoras before, namely the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer ($21) that I have heard so much about. Eh. I thought the lady that did my make up lacked tack and wasn't very good. She did a rush job and insulted my requests. She cut my false lashes too much and they looked ridiculous with her placement. Then she acted like she was moving them over which... I mean theyre glued to my skin. And then wasn't even properly attached to my eye. There was a clear gap between my lash and the lashes. She was realllly really rude. I told her I like two different colors and then proceeds to put only one of the colors on. Then goes "well that's the one you picked." All rude. I left feeling like I was made out to feel stupid by this lady. Not a great feeling when I was there to get ready to perform in front of people. She left mascara on my skin, crooked skinny eye liner (which she blamed my eyes on), cut the lashes because she said they were too big for my eye, but then made them too short for my eyes, put them on unevenly. The whole experience was just disastrous. You're an artist, you can't figure out how to combine two colors? Weird. I'm fine with being busy, I get it... truly. But she treated me very unkindly. ZERO BEDSIDE MANNER. I felt like crap when I left. The manager didn't offer any compensation for me, or solution really. She just told me she will speak with her. Meanwhile I'm at home re applying lashes and fixing the job she did. It wasn't horrible but it certainly done with any sort of passion or artistic approach. She treated me so so so bad. Employees and management all smiles and helpful when you are purchasing,not so much on their policy regarding returns. Very corporate minded and non-flexible. Beware unlike their major competition they are stringent and unforgiving on their 60 day return policy. Even if its unused and you have the receipt, if you're a few days over the time limit you're out of luck. Doesn't even matter if you purchased on the recommendation of a staff member and were not able to test the product prior to purchase due to Covid. The staff took great precautions to keep everyone safe including having a quick briefing at the door in which they offer you hand sanitizer. Kara was amazing she is extremely knowledge and attentive she listened to all of my skin concerns and went through many different products to find ones to fit me best she did not try to up sell me or make me buy the most expensive products but the products that were most effective and went over how I should use each based on my skin. Very disappointed with my experience...Arrived at 11:50am..Sign on the door said "We'll be back at 12:00"...My thought "ok no problem"...Waited in the car ...went back to the door at 11:57...Youngman came to the door said they would open in 3 minutes...Again my thought "ok no problem".This time I waited outside 91 degree heat..At 12:01...Younglady comes to the door and says "I'm sorry we're having a training meeting and we will need another 15 minutes!"...Now I have a Retail background....I remember having meetings and training sessions before the store opened...And it was ALWAYS our policy to open the store on time...even if this meant someone had to leave the meeting to ASSIST the customer.. Shame on SEPHORA...Training came happen anytime ..It only takes on bad experience to loose a customer...And how ridiculous is it to have a training session which I'm sure included a customer service element...but you have a custom standing outside and you're basically telling the customer to come back later! read more
