The employees were so friendly and knowledgeable about the app and the website and helped me load up my free birthday coupon to scan. You get to pick from a list of things but because I didn't know much about any of them I asked the cashier at the counter to pick one for me that was her favorite. She chose the hair mask and let me tell you I tried it and it's amazing! My hair is so soft and smells incredible. I honestly normally don't shop for make up unless maybe it's in like the Florida mall. But today I was in the area and I decided to stop at the Ulta in Waterford Lakes. I got a highlighter from my favorite brand of revolution make up. I also got a new lipgloss from Nyx. I love Ulta I love how clean the store is, the only reason why this is getting four stars is you don't know where the line to check out is. Like they have all the registers but they blocked them with the whole row of like mini samples so I wasn't sure if I needed to go around to the left side of the right side to check out with my products. No one really helped me today except the lady that ring me up she did ask me how my day was and she also told me that she liked my earrings. Product review I am obsessed with the new butter gloss bling by NYX. The precision tip when you pull it out you can't get any extra glass on it which I really appreciate and it goes on your lips a very smooth the one I did get does have some glitter in it so it does have a really nice shine to it as well as a little bit of sparkle. On Saturday, January 24, 2026 I placed order M198305898 on ULTA's website for $192.08 + $ 16:36 = $208.44. All 4 items I purchased had a promo Mix and Match! Select Skincare Buy 1 Get 40% off valid through 1.24.26. On three of the 4 items in purchased, the discount worked. You put one item in the cart, the online store showed the full price. You add another item, you see the discount price for both. However, the discount did not work for La Roche-Posay Toleraine Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30 SKU #2503390 It charged me full price for FOUR of this item. The discount ended January 24, 2026 so I completed the purchase even through I was overcharged by $21.60. I could have picked up my items on Sunday, January 25th but I know Ulta is busy on the weekends. I did not have time to wait in line and I know my going there was not just a simple picking up of my order. There was an error. I was to be refunded for being overcharged. So I deliberately waited until today, Monday, January 26th at 1:45 pm to go to pick up my items and ask them to refund me the $21.60 I was overcharged. The store was virtually empty. No one waiting in line to check out. I am expecting to be in and out within 5 minutes. My receipt clearly shows I was over changed. The team member who I first spoke to claimed that the discount for one product was reflected to the discount of my other products. I asked for the store manager. Then Alanis came over and asked what was the problem. She does not ask me my name, apologize for the inconvenience and assure me she is here to help find a solution. He slayed my hair the day before my birthday. I was so skeptical because you know many stylist claim to know how to work with natural hair but they don't and then try to pressure you into a relaxer or just add it without your consent. But not him. He finger detangled with the conditioner in, used quality heat protectant and I could actually relax and enjoy the service instead of being the spokes person for how to handle my hair. I called and asked for a hair highlight. I gat a called on Sunday and they confirmed. I then said i was quoted $147 for the retouch. I arrived and myrna was the stylist. She stated she was a elite stylist. When i made the appointment the first time i stated i did not was a high price hourly stylist. Apparently listening is not done here. I asked for the manager. She went over and got a aa, f, braided hair, 5'7. I proceeded to explain how i asked the person on Sunday about the price. Now a couple of weeks ago i spoke to the manager and told her i did not want an elite i wanted someone lower in price. At no time was i told that the stylist go by the hour. The manager said they have always done this. I have had there many times and have not paid by the hour. During this conversation myrna stated insisting and stating that i had cancelled an appointment and made another. Myrna threw this up in my face. The family had flu a and we did not leave the house. Not that it was her business. But myrna was entirely unprofessional as she started becoming argumentative . I said one curse word snd the manager stated we do not tolerate that language. I looked at her and stated wait a minute you are reprimanding me while you stood there and let this person get very very verbally hostel with me. She then stated that she was going to say something to her. The manager stated she could give me another time. I just looked at her and stated that i will not be back and i do not trust them. Myrna must have a great memory because as i was talking yo the manager she stated that remembered us and she was sitting next to that stylist. Um no she was not i sat in the chair next to her. She was in the middle doing a color fix that took over 4 hours and she did not nit quote me a price nor did she state how long. She charges $97 a hour. This is absolute robbery. She made this take over 4 hours. Myrna was always interrupting to give her nasty attitude opinion. She was completely out of line and the manager should have asked her to leave. I then went to the manager at the front, female, hispanic, long black hair. I proceeded to tell her what happened. This other employee with a black jacket stood close enough to hear. He disappeared then here comes the manage and myrna to the front ready to battle. Their attitude and the walk was that of coming up to argue. Body language was rushed and aggressive in their walk. I went over this with the co manager at the store and said to her that this is very unprofessional of the both of them to come to the front ready to have it out. The aa, female then stated she was coming up to talk to her. Myrna was right behind her. This incident takes unprofessionalism to a new level. To allow a employee to get nasty with a guest and they feel safe enough to do this in front of a manager and do not worry that they will get reprimanded or even fired. To allow employees to then come to where the guest is speaking to the co manager and show through body language they were there to dispute and go off on me again. This is not okay. So you have an issue with someone saying a curse word that was not directed at anyone. But the employee is allowed to become irate and become nasty towards the guests. Myrna does not in no way represent what ulta is. Neither does the aa female claiming to be a manager. She should have had myrna walk away. Then the two of them knowing i was speaking to the co up front to boldly walk up there to once again to shame myself is nit a good representation. The whole point is that ulta used to have a different way of doing things in the salon. I have always paid under $100 for a full color. What i learned: Stylists at ulta can basically charge whatever they want to a guest. Stylists do are allowed to become nasty to you whenever they want. Since they do not wear name tags and you ask for a manager you really do not if they are one. The aa female did not have any manager training because she really did not know how to handle the situation. BUYER BEWARE: So they charge by the hour now. Be careful because you could get scammed by these stylist. NOT ALL STYLIST ARE AS NASTY AS MYRNA AND I IMPLORE YOU NOT TO HAVE HER AS YOUR STYLIST. We had been having our hair done there for years. The price was always great. But now those prices are by the hour. Myrna is a bad apple and has completely shown a side of ulta i am very disappointed in. The aa female needs more training because she was not in control of the situation. When you call for an appointment they will give you the elite stylist even though i specifically told them i did not want one. I. They do not go over the price per hour but will quote you a possible price. They need to get their act together and incidents like this should be handled in a professional way. Desperately seeking a scalp massager, ULTA to the rescue. This Ulta is located in between Best Buy and Joanns Fabric in Waterford Lakes Center. Plenty of parking. I liked this store. Clear signage on the door indicating masks are required. It always looks neat and well lit. Someone always greets you as you enter. I asked where to find the massager, was directed but of course I steered off course just to see all the pretty bottles of hair products and nail polishes. I have a small obsession with Essie nail polishes. Again, someone approached to ask if I needed help, this nice person walked me right over. Grabbed my massager and headed to the register. Every time I book a salon appointment, the stylist calls out. It has happened multiple . Don't bother booking with them because they will just disrespect your time and shove you to anyone! Letting you get your haircut by people you've never met and haven't built a relationship with meaning your hair can look literally like whatever. What the heck is with this remodel? Modern and sleek "looks cool" but the reality of modern sleek furniture is that it doesn't meet the needs of people and isn't realistic. All the waiting area chairs are gone, now there is just one long bench with no backing to sit on. What happened to social distancing? Did a young person pick this out who has never had a back problem? I have a bad back and it just about killed me sitting there. Next time I am bringing a lawn chair. Even the chairs for the hair dryers are a little stiff. The poor hair stylist barely have any room on the new stylist tables for their things. The tables are crazy thin. Those tables are NOT made for working, just looks. The lights on them SUCK too. There is no front desk to greet the customers now so all the customers are confused and don't know where to go. Not everyone books with the same stylist so they don't know who to ask for. Of course all the stylists are trying to work so it is hard for them to greet and direct people where to go. Whoever designed this and made all these decisions hasn't worked a day on the floor before. I give it 3 stars because I love the quality of the work the stylists do. But ulta itself needs to make the salon a comfortable place for both the clients and the employees. What a waste of money this remodel was. read more

I adore Ulta. I used to be a Sephora fan, until one friend suggested I checked out Ulta. This location gets pretty packed and employees still manage to give top-of-the line service. I come to this store, at least once a week. At least! Even if it's browsing or getting a "free sample" of some promotion I received through email (DO sign-up for their rewards system! It's awesome and way better than Sephora's. They actually give you store credit). Shipment comes Thursdays (used to be Fridays), so if you are searching for a specific item, do not hesitate to call and ask for them to hold it for you. They will gladly do so. I get my "drug-store" products here and some of those professional brands too (Contrary to Sephora that only sells professional brands). I will occasionally get my ends cut and/or hair dyed in this salon with Nina, an awesome stylist. Never gotten brows done here, but I have friends that do and love it. Finally, if I don't already know of special offers (I get daily emails), I often ask employees to confirm them or keep me posted. They will often give you tips as to when should you buy a specific product to get extra points and/or free products (that turn into actual store credit; I once bought with $50.00 store credit a curling iron and received a free curling wand on the side, SCORE!). Overall, I love all Ulta stores that I've visited, but this one is the one I visit the most and gets a lot of traffic. Nevertheless, very much deserving of 5 stars! read more

First haircut in the area since moving here two weeks ago. The salon at Ulta was recommended and I was lucky enough to book an appointment with Soad. Back story: The last few times I had gotten haircuts (*not* at Ulta; back in Santa Rosa), they weren't great. It got to the point where I'd just go in and know that it wasn't going to be great, but it would be better than what I could give myself. I got used to shitty work and mediocre results. (Nice people, but still...disappointing hair.) When the pandemic started in March, I started cutting my own hair, and that included getting so tired of it one time that I hacked off 5-6". I also did an undercut because my hair is so thick and I wanted to cut down on the sheer heat of having a mane. Plus, I wasn't going out: Who was going to see me? My poor hair definitely needed some professional attention. Soad's work is so good. Her attention to detail rivals my own, and I didn't think anyone cared about how even my hair was more than me, but I was wrong--SHE cares. It's so cool to see someone care about their work like that, and it was refreshing to get a quality cut. Definitely recommend. read more

Uggghhh. I spent over $50 for a haircut that I didn't want and bangs that looked like I cut them myself. I brought reference photos and gave a specific stopping point for the length. It was at least 1 1/2 inches shorter than I wanted. The cut was all wrong and the front part looks like I took kitchen scissors and cut them in my bathroom. In the chair I liked it but once I left and went home I started to notice the inconsistencies. I'm so annoyed because my stylist acted like she knew exactly what I wanted and was just sloppy. This Ulta is 5 minutes from my house, so I go here when I don't have time to go all the way to the mall for something. Normally I come in with a mission, to just get one thing, and head out. No issues. The store has a pretty easy layout, with header signs to easily find what you're looking for. I headed in for Peter Thomas Roth Cloud Eye Patches that are located near the back right of the store. I entered the store and immediately was blasted with girls in butterfly wings -- trying to get me to look at MAC makeup. I guess they just recently added it to some Ulta stores- but I told the girl that wanted to go over specials that I was really just there for one thing. I went to the area and as I was grabbing what I came for another girl cornered me and wanted to show my something she was repping for dermalogica - She told me that her product worked better than what I had picked out. I politely listened to her speech, and she seemed annoyed I went with what I originally came in for. I didn't like the pressure I felt, twice, to purchase something else. I have to say, this was the only time I was really approached twice. I made it to the checkout (really short line) and asked for my free face wash that comes with my PTR purchase. She looked for a second and said they must be out but and then offered me samples of some face cream or some perfume (which was nice, some don't offer replacements if you're free product is out). I love the large selection of products at Ulta but there are a couple of issues that will have me buying direct from Beekman 1802 from now on. The first issue is the perfume smell when you enter the store. I just don't understand why it has to be so strong. Other stores sell perfume (more than Ulta) and they manage to do so without assaulting you with the intense smell. The second issue is the credit card push. I decided to opt in on a day when I was making a large purchase. Well...couldn't login to my CC online, called the number on the card, spoke with a representative (cost $15) because they have multiple levels of security before you can access your CC account online, set up the PW, security question, email, mobile, etc., then it said my credentials were wrong and they couldn't email me or text me because they didn't have anything on record. I come here mostly for cleansers, makeup and nail polish. I've been considering possibly getting my hair done here since I have been looking for a hair stylist in the Orlando area. The makeup is usually very well organized and you can usually find what you are looking for. I come here to buy Mario Badescu products that I use, especially their moisturizer wit SPF 17 and a rose water face spray they have. I also come here for OPI nail polishes. They have a very good selection and OPI is my go to all time favorite nail polish brand- not streaky, sticky, and many colors only require one coat. I've shopped at Ulta off and on over the years. It's not my favorite store, but it's super convenient, so I keep going back. Salespeople here always greet you at the door and offer you help. The only difficulty is once you are in the store shopping it can be tricky to find a salesperson who is free to help you. I usually just end up ordering from them online. I recently took my daughter to Ulta for a haircut for the first time (her request, she LOVES Ulta). Her hair stylist was Elexis, and she was pretty awesome. She really took her time cutting my daughter's hair (which is both long and very thick, and I'm sure a pain to cut). She did a great job of keeping a conversation up the whole time, and gave my daughter loads of tips for better haircare (no more Pantene in this house!). My daughter was really happy with the experience, and her hair came out beautiful. I was happy that we got a discount since it was our first visit, that was a nice touch. One problem was that there was no receptionist working in the Salon area that day, so we had to go up front to pay. There I was waiting in line when I was blatantly cut in line... and the cashier didn't say anything about it. I don't go here often but there's one powder foundation, bare minerals, that they carry and the only other place to get it seems to be online now. Same price as online, without having to pay for shipping and I can get it immediately. That said, the reason I'm giving this place 5 stars is that I met a hair stylists while looking at some products and she was super helpful and friendly. So much so that I decided after more than 4 or 5 years of NOT getting my hair professionally cut because I have long hair past my waist and every stylists thinks they know better than the customer and wants to cut more than I ask them to, this one just seemed right. My last hair stylist changed salons and a hair cut and tip went from 75 to over $100, I could barely afford the first price so I just trimmed my own hair - it's straight and easy, but I did need a clean up as my puppy last year decided to give my hair a trim and chewed my hair while she was in my lap and I lost about 8 inches or so.
