I have been coming here since I was 3 months old and it was fun but now they are so uptight it feels like we are in jail since they watch us in their carts. Also, we had music on like 2 and it was past quite time and they still made us turn it off. This campground is alright, the views and river are gorgeous. The sites dont provide much privacy, but it's nice that the RVs are kept in a different area than the tent sites. Ok but now the shocker, $71 for one night of pitching your tent on their property??!!! Absurd! Sure, they have a pool, but I've stayed in hundreds of campgrounds all over the west coast and this was the most expensive one I've ever stayed at and by far not the fanciest. For that much money, i would expect the bathrooms to be in a much better shape for example. Well I'd expect a lot more for $71, i mean i could find a motel for that price. If we hadnt arrived that late and weren't as exhausted from driving, we would have skipped and stayed elsewhere. read more

I went here on a weekend in August. Small camp sites for both tents and RV's. Expensive, rowdy, and has lots of rules. The bathrooms are poorly cleaned and showers are small. The weekend I went was packed, and the hood from Visalia and Fresno was well represented. Someone near us had their purse stolen out of their car. I will stick with the forest service campgrounds in the future. The river was nice. read more

I want to thank Paige, Jason and Heather for their wonderful work that they did this weekend 8/25-27 with our church group. They provided all the info that was necessary.. they also keep on touch with me as the date for our church camp was approaching to make sure everyone had they tent space or cabin. They make our arrival check in very easy and smooth even for those who arrived after office hours. Our group was happy and enjoyed to the fullest this camp. Cabins were clean, kitchen with all you need to make your cooking easier. The place was clean, excellent customer service. No complaints at all. Can't wait for next year!!! read more

my family has been camping here for over 50 years & i don't think we've ever missed a year so we have seen some changes different owners & how the campground has updated which is pretty cool . we also meet up with other family members at the same time always for labor day weekend we all live 4+ hours away but it's worth the drive... we have tented here loved it! and now that i'm older we stay in the cabins love it too.. overall it's the best camping experience you'll ever encounter we've also brought friends who still come as well that's how much we all love it. if you plan on camping here don't complain just enjoy the beautiful nature. see you soon kaweah :-) read more

Let me start off by saying that we have been coming here for years. And we stopped coming here for a while because this campground became nothing but a party place. You couldn't sleep at night because it was loud all through the night, there where crazy fights and a bunch of other crazy events that we have witnessed here. But now I am glad to say that those days are coming to an end. Are last visits to this campground (Aug 2019) was our best to date. We were able to sleep through the night without any crazy parties going on. There where less drunk wild people roaming around. And rules where actually enforced. Granted there were still some party people here ,it wasn't as bad a previous years. I know there are a lot of complaints about the rules and stuff. But these rules that people are complaining about are there to let people enjoy themselves, and not feel like they are at an on going party, but actually camping. I don't don't mind the rules at all. If it makes the party people leave I'm all for it. If the prices make the party people leave I'm all for it. I just really wish that they can make sure people stop walking through the river tent sites area as we had many rude people walk directly through our site like it was a walk way, Or try to set up their stuff on our sites we rent that's my only complaint. This place has so much potential now to become a great camping place to bring your family. I look forward to the changes to come to get it there. Oh and the staff was very friendly to us. Think about it ,you get treated the way you come off to people. If you come at someone with negativity that's what you will receive... Also the river is beautiful and refreshing, and there is a mini beach . They have showers , it's-camping so yes they can be dirty you would be surprised how dirty people can be. They also have restrooms and have added Porta potty's. They also have a pool. We like they river so haven't really used the pool. read more

Stayed the weekend with my husband and son. When we checked in, the gentleman told us the RV site was $49 per night and then had us fill out an envelope to check in and then he said we were good to go. We ended up getting charged $65 per night because the worker told us wrong. For $65 a night I would have stayed in a hotel. At least I would have had WiFi and cable with that price. Campground doesn't seem to be managed well. read more

September 6-8 my family stayed at the Sequoia Campground and Lodge. The family members who stayed in cabin/rooms #8 and #9 found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. If I owned the place, a cabin decoration refresh would be on my list of things to do. The family members who stayed in tents found the grounds to be clean, but the bathroom stalls are small. The staff members were helpful. All of my grandchildren had a blast playing in the river and we enjoyed visiting Sequoia National Park for a day, too! read more

Our family has been coming here for over 40 years and this year it was a mess and really rethinking going back. Our cabin was dirty and the comforter was stained, the fridge wasn't working and after they fixed it it leaked the whole week we were there. The shower curtain was disgusting. The whole park was dry and dusty. The trash was filled and falling out of the big bin, there was no control on tents, people and cars at each site. Dogs everywhere at the camp sites and it smelled like dog poop down at the beach area. Can't believe that for the price the charge for a cabin it was a total disaster. I hope the new owners take into consideration to maintain the campground cause it's a great place but they will lose campers if there's no control or rules followed. read more

Do not book this place!! if you get on hotels.com and book you are screwed. You pay up front and no refund! i cancelled in 30 seconds because wrong date! had no idea charged me $150. i called asking to get that removed and i would re-book once i had my dates secured. they said no! horrible customer service! read more

The staff here is very nice and friendly. They try their best. Its the demographic here that makes this place a problem. Half the park is nice the other half looks like skid row tent city. Loud music, over crowding and tons of rules but arent enforced. When people smoke weed right next to ur kids without any concern its time to go to a different park. We have been going to this place for years it was always so much fun until new owners took over. We go camping to laugh,talk make s'mores with the family unfortunately this year we couldn't even sneeze without getting in trouble after 10. Wannabe police officer (I believe his name is Chris) took his job so serious and made sure he did old us he would be back to our campsite at 10 to make sure we are quite. We have stayed here the past 4 nights . What a gem it is! We stayed in the cabin . Great location considering how small three rivers is and it's close proximity to the national forest . Great location with river front access for swimming and fishing ! Fun things to do for the kids - pool, tether ball, volleyball. My only complaint is that the cabins are a little outdated and lacking some essentials. But there were clean sheets and towels and our basic necessities were met. We had to ask for some cooking utensils but a modest basket of 2 pans and a set of plates and utensils were provided . No counter space whatsoever in the kitchen but we made do. The outside patio was nice . I would definitely come back! read more

This is our 5th year and 6th time camping here at what is now called Sequoia Campground & Lounge. It is such a beautiful and relaxing campground that we recommend to everyone. There is so much fun stuff to do besides just camping, from swimming in the pool or the river, river rafting, relaxing in the beach area, or playing a game of volleyball and tether ball. My kids love & look forward to coming here year after year. This campground is perfect for anyone looking to have a good camping experience. The sites that are next to the river are a must, you get your own little area in the river! The staff is great and always making sure you're good. The prices did go up this year due to new ownership so I hope they use the extra money to update the bathrooms, maybe paint a new color on the walls, add new floors and shower tile to modernize a bit. Other than that the price is totally worth it! My family and our friends will continue to come here for many more years! read more

My family and I had a blast camping here as first timers . The river is beautiful, there is plenty of shade, and the people there seem friendly enough. Since it is a small campground, the river doesn't get too crowded with people. It's also close to the Sequoias which gives you another source of entertainment. We stayed in a premium tent site June 2-5th and got lucky with the RV spot closest to the river. The park is in such a beautiful setting, we had a very peaceful and fun stay. We enjoyed it so much that we bought baseball hats to remember our trip. Our kids loved the river and almost everyone in the park was very friendly. The laundry and bathrooms were spotless during our stay. The pool was cold, but clean. This was our first big Rv trip and this park was our favorite of the 5 we stayed at. We booked a tour of Sequoia, were picked up at the park, and had an unbeatable day seeing the trees. I highly recommend Sequoia Tours! read more

Great place for camping! Excellent hospitality. The park is very beautiful. The rivers are right outside your doorstep, if you get a cabin. The camping spots are alongside the river. I suggest a cabin for the winter season. The cabins were immaculate, full kitchen, bathroom with a shower, and everything you need to feel welcomed. Highly recommended to stay at this camp site if you are planning to visit the sequoias. Will be returning soon for sure. Had a great time here! read more

The view and river are nice as always. Been coming here for over 25 years and nothing has ever been upgraded. Bathroom and shower area have always been to small and not enough stalls for the campground. This year is under new ownership and they treat you like kids. I understand 10:00 is quite time but no need for rent a cop to come back and warn you at 10:03 to keep it down or he will kick us all out and call the sheriff. By the way a sheriff did cruise by ? We were trying to just hang out. We also were told about the wells being dry a day before are visit which was a very short notice. We decided to go and try to enjoy our stay. So there were port-a potties and no showers which was fine but the porta potties were only cleaned once and they were watering the grass ? But no water in the wells ? It could of been a cleaner experience but not this year. They have raised prices this year let's hope when they decide to upgrade they don't hike it up again read more

Our family goes every July for the last 20 years, it's relaxing, fun for the kids and sequoia close enough to drive and spend the day sight seeing . So much to do fishing for the fisher men, hiking for the hikers, swimming for the swimmers. Just depends on what you like. The family just love going there. read more

I will start out with saying this campground is completely over-priced for what you get. $56 a night for full hook-ups plus $3 extra per person for anything more than 2 people. There are only approximately 30-40 RV sites and they all have dead grass, tall weeds and appear to be a giant fire hazard. The tent section is shocking. There are literally tents upon tents upon tents set up everywhere you look! Cram 2000 people, mostly kids, running amuck with zero supervision and then add the fact that every other camp site is competing with "who could have the loudest music." It's loud, unruly and when the office closes at 5 there is NOBODY around to enforce a thing. The beach area is nice and the people who were enjoying it were nice; however, most didn't pay any attention to the giant signs that read "NO GLASS." Glass, alcoholic beverages, water and barefoot people just do NOT mix! Many were lacking common courtesy! I was appalled the next morning to the see the beach area littered with trash everywhere! Broken flotation devices, bottles, cans, food wrappers, you name it! Had to leave the air on high all night to attempt to drown out the barking dogs and music. Bottom line...you can stay at MUCH nicer places for much cheaper! read more

Great reviews on this place with the former owners, however there's new owners are not doing so well if you make reservations here you might want to call every day before you come in make sure they got them right as the people in the office do not listen talk over you then try to tell you what you did wrong read more

We won't be coming back here again! For starters, they don't enforce the rules. Quiet time is supposedly from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am yet people had music blasting during those hours. They also don't clean the restrooms! We were there for two nights and they FINALLY cleaned them on our last day there. Do yourself a huge favor and go somewhere else....anywhere else! Upon arrival, we noticed a ton of trash strewn throughout the property, horrifically dirty bathrooms, loud music playing from every direction and a small pool w at least 50 people in it. The worst part, however, was when neighboring campers decided to stay up all night partying. There was no roving security or anyone to enforce quiet hours. I was up all night and began packing up at 4am. With such a small property and so many tent spots close together, it is imperative that management do their due diligence, thus making this a more tolerable stay. read more

Will not be returning! Sad to say this place has gone down the drain. This place used to be so nice, but now you have to deal with drunk people who cannot handle their alcohol. From women actting and talking like drunk sailors in front of our young kids, women and men getting in physical fights, to nasty people leaving used hygiene item's everywhere! There's no one enforcing quite hours anymore so you can also be kept up all night as I was. It has lost it's kid friendly kind of vibe as we were scared for our kids as the people kept getting into physical fights. I would recommend that if you want a nice ,safe,and kid friendly place. This is no longer the place to go. It's become out of control. And we have been going there for years. This Will be our last trip there until things change. read more

We have stayed here many times in the past and have always enjoyed our time. But after this past weekend we will consider returning. The park has not been kept up, weeds growing 3 ft tall around the landscape rocks, the grass between sites was dead and trash everywhere. The restrooms were excessively filty and not stocked. Our family and friends have been coming here for over 5 years, this year we noticed they had removed the site markers and placed largs boulders with small signs,5 people that I know of hit the boulders, on person did over 4 thousand dollars damage to there caddy, one person asked Sheldon what's up with the boulders? Sheldon says he is tired of having to replace his 22dollars markers and he doesn't care about people's car, later he came back to try to clean up his bad remarks , just know this ShEldon doesn't care about your cars? I paid in advance in full for a 4 days stay for September last March. Upon arrival there was only 2 people in the campground!? First alarm bells! The pool was green and the well was dry so no showers,laundry, or restrooms. We are fully contained so ok. The girl at the front desk,Binda, gave us our sites. They were in full sun and it was 95 degrees. I asked to move to a shady area. She moved our friend motor home charged her a site change fee of $11 and informed me, fifth wheel I couldn't move unless I paid for two sites as they were motor home sites. Remember there was 2 other campers. Over 75 sites. Are you Kidding me! I said just refund all our money and we will go somewhere else. Well, Binda refunded my refund on my friend's credit card not mine and then really made a mess of things trying to straighten out the mess she made. In the end, after 1 hour, it still wasn't straight. Bad customer service, no communication with me during the transaction and untrained help. Not to mention they charge $60 per night with no enmities. Don't stay here! read more

In theory, the Kaweah Park Resort should be an ideal getaway. We had a family gathering here for the holiday weekend. It was ideal, since we could get a large group site for large family meals and fun, and all the younger families to camp; while Grandma and Grampa could sleep a little more comfortably in a cabin across the way. The river flows a few feet away providing a calming backdrop to the already serene surroundings. Unfortunately, there were several other large family gatherings in the park that same weekend who did not have a similar appreciation for the beautiful, rustic setting. There were kids and adults yelling late into the night, extremely loud music (to be heard over the yelling, I guess), dogs off leash wandering through our site stealing food, and a general lack of respect for other campers in the facility. Multiple requests to the offending groups and complaints to the camp host went un-heeded. There is little-to-no enforcement of camp rules regarding quiet hours, number of campers per site, pets on leashes, etc. Finally around 1AM, we got so fed up with the noise that we packed up camp and left... driving 90 minutes to stay at my brother-in-law's house for the rest of the weekend. Overall a disappointing experience. We won't be back. read more

I feel bad only giving 3 stars since I know it has just changed hands and new management has taken over BUT they really need to work on some things and hopefully with time and reviews, they will work out the kinks.... first of all when I called to inquire about getting a site for the night the girl I spoke with was an absolute snot with poor people skills, saddly upon arriving and seeing her face to face my opinion of her didn't change, she seemed very unhappy about being there which is not common among campgrounds( we frequent alot) any ways the older woman was so pleasant and seemed like she enjoyed her job as " camp host" and I'm sure will do a great job once they get the place back up and running ( apparently the previous owners took alot when they left so some of the " special perks" that were there on our previous visits were no longer) lastly upon driving into our site, the older gentleman yelled " hey I don't see your pass" to which my husband pointed to the purple pass dangling from our mirror... I mean really... could he not have walked down or drove his cart down to verify we had a pass???? I just didn't gibe us a very friendly vibe... I wish them well and we may or may not try it again as we typically do Sierra over Sequoia anyway. read more

Omg this place was great. Heather in the front office really is the greatest. We came completely unprepared and she went out of her was to get us or tell us where to get everything we needed. She even came out after hours. The rooms look better then the pictures and are a great value. Close to a couple restaurants, rafting, markets and cute stores. read more

I been coming here for 20 yrs and it has been great until up to 3 yrs ago. Every time I have gone with my family there is always a drunken fight. When I went in July even the cops were called, it's not the same anymore,it's gotten ridiculous... No good security like there use to be... Very disappointed! read more
