I have been coming to this campground for the past three years because before, it was a lovely site with the Kaweah river running right by the side of the campgrounds and it's proximity to the beautiful Sequoia National Park. I knew that there were going to be new owners of the site this past year and knew some changes might occur but did not expect what my family encountered. CONS: -In starting the trip, my party arrived separately and I attempted to check in but due to some miscommunication between the staff, there was an issue with our reservations and we had to pay a missing fee of 90$ because of additional people and a car that was initially stated when the reservation was made but no note was made. The woman I spoke with in the office was terribly rude and did not seem to care about anything except charging the additional fees. Later on the issue was resolved and one of the employees compensated us for the trouble with ice and firewood which was appreciated. However, I sincerely hope that they change who they have in the office to handle check in's because that woman was rude and did not make the campground seem friendly at all. - Now, for whatever reason they make you wear wristbands to keep you accounted for. This feels a bit ridiculous in a campground as a wristband is going to get gross and worn after just a day of being outdoors in 100 degree weather, and moreover it shows a lack of trust between the staff and campers. - The security/staff ride around constantly in golf carts around the campgrounds as though they want to catch you doing something wrong, which again makes you feel untrusted and almost like a prisoner being constantly supervised. - Despite the constant rounds the staff made around the campground, the bathrooms were ALWAYS out of toilet paper by the end of the night which for an area of 40+ spots each holding numerous people is ridiculous. They did add port-o potties to help overflow but when its night time this does very little as there is no light inside. - The bathrooms seemed to be cleaned probably once a day which again for a highly populated area is crucially low and should be cleaned more often because the bathroom floors become covered in dirt and mud and get nasty. PROS: - The showers are now free which is kind of nice but if I had to pay for a shower and it meant nicer, cleaner bathrooms i would rather pay to contribute to that cause. - They have implemented a no noise rule after 10 which allows you to rest easy with little to no noise. - The campsite itself is a very nice location and the river is lovely to watch flow and to hear. I hate to write such a negative review about a place I used to cherish and look forward to going to all year however I hope staff reads these reviews with an open mind and sees that there is room for improvement because people will surely stop visiting this campsite if things don't change and they remain the same. read more

Welp...we didn't come camping this year.. those two spots I mentioned in my last review are now up to $1250.... with the same amount of people and cars we had last year for around $800.... seeing the reviews i Can tell Im not the only one upset that this place I've loveddddd for so long is going downhill so fast. Clean and well cared for, my family and I had a great stay here. Probably considered off season, was quiet with awesome river access and exactly what we were looking for. The staff was attentive and friendly and pricing is very competitive. Looking for a fall getaway, this was a huge hit. We'll be back!! read more

They're Terribly rude The camp security literally drives up and down and pretty much looks for stuff to tell you can't do We arrived started setting up we had a small Generator-Security guy Drives up says not allowed to have a generator and that it says this on my confirmation email: I pulled up my email in front of him went through it not there. He Says it is on my camp ground rules which I had just received right when I checked in. I pulled those out went through with him it's not there Now he says he'll be back going to office to pull the rules comes back guess what NOT in there either. Then he says oh it makes noise so that falls under the noise rule which by the way is after 10 PM this was 2 PM. But " I'll let you" use it ‍ At night playing guitar round the fire pulled up said can't sing WHAT ??!! We had over 12 campsites all together no one was complaining we weren't even loud- thought I was in jail for a second-People are on vacation not prison I was waiting for my tent to be raided This can be a great spot but their security needs to be welcoming, friendly, helpful and not so rude and petty. And if generators are not allowed you may want to include this on your website, which by the way could use some more helpful information read more

Been coming here since 2005. We camp in tents and it's amazing. Owners have been changing over the years but they've always done a great job maintaining the resort. Sequoia National Park only 10 minutes away. Great place to create memories with the family. Fyi they changed ownership and it's name has been changed Sequoia Campground & Lodge. read more

I don't usually write reviews but this definitely requires one. Two stars only for the evening security guy that was super helpful and the blonde cleaning gal/staff member on Wednesday. Very nice folks. We had planned a trip in January to visit the Sequoias and decided not heed the Yelp reviews and take a chance here. We just returned from the campground where we rented the 'premium cabin' #1 for over $200/ night. What we encountered upon arrival gave us reason to pause and contemplate if we should check out before we even checked in. The rustic cabin had not been cleaned. During this pandemic with the emphasis on the need to be clean, that was truly a surprise! We brought this up to managment and were told 'sorry about that'...huh?! The beds were made and linens were on the shelves but the dust was thick on all hard surfaces. We had multiple cobb webs and dirt but we were glamping with the kids and decided to make the best of it. Thankfully I had my handy mask and disinfectants with me and cleaned the cabin for the next two hours. This was not the way to start a trip. The reason for this review was the HVAC issue. For the first two nights we tried to get the hvac to work (it was 95 degrees) but it didn't! We brought it up to the staff/man in the store and he told us to keep the door closed to keep cold air in...ummm, it was hot when we first arrived and never got better! Luckily there was a super attentive security guard/ camp host in the evenings driving the golf cart who made it happen (super short hair w mustache guy:-)He notified the manager of the hot air blowing out of the wall unit and the next day we got a new HVAC unit. While we appreciate the management team installing the new cold air unit, we still had Monday through Wednesday with hot air. We requested a discount for those nights (not a refund) and were told there is no discount! Really?!!...The description on your website says air conditioned cabins. There was NO AIR amongst other things. Some form of gesture in the name of customer service would have been appreciated but maybe times are tough and that's not a priority at this time or can't be done. Lastly- just a general observation, but where are the masks? NOBODY was wearing a mask including the staff to the point where at first glance I was uncomfortable to wear one... and then wore it anyways for my safety the entire week. We had to ask the staff that installed the HVAC to put one on prior to going inside the cabin. They happily complied. I need to emphasize that the staff driving around in the golf carts were good guys (and blonde gal) but management should truly consider polishing up their customer service and cleaning routine as this place has serious potential if they had the rustic cabins that were spotless on the inside and out (cobwebs). Simple to achieve. Other than those trivial issues that were resolved (except a discount) the trip was a memorable one! This would still be my choice if I had to choose any of the campgrounds or places to stay in Three Rivers because of the fun river and helpful staff. read more

Had my daughters baptism this weekend in three rivers. We had family renting cabins here. We thought after the baptism we'd have a little get together with the 20 of us using the picnic benches from the completely unoccupied tent camping area for 2 hrs. Did not think it would become a fiasco. We were told that we had to pay $10 per car and $10 per person to use three picnic tables in the unoccupied tent camping area. Mind you we have people staying here. It was a bit unnecessary. We ended up throwing them some hush money to leave us alone. Only thing nice about this place is that it was a gorgeous day. The showers and bathrooms are pretty sad. The cabins haven't been updated in forever and a day. The staff needs to take a class in hospitality. I'm sure they treat their mothers better, maybe not. read more

Check out the nasty bathroom pics. We stayed in one of the cabins (deluxe). Absolutely not worth $113 a night! This place grossed me out! Floor needs to be redone. The shower needs to be refinished and cleaned. I decided not to shower because of the nasty shower floor; it looked like a blood stain in there. I didn't have any flip flops to use in the shower, but I'm not sure I would've even showered in there with flip flops. My husband turned on the shower water and the water pressure was apparently bad, so he also chose not to shower in there. Will never ever return. read more

This was our first time at this Campground, we stayed here for 4 nights, Sunday-Thursday. Site R12, good spot, close to restrooms and office, staff was very friendly. Our stay was nice, we had a good time. We'll definitely be returning in the near future. Everything was awesome! read more

Would be a great campground if they enforced any rules. People are partying every night until 2 and bathrooms are overflowing. I don't know what it is about this location but it definitely attracts all the loud drunks. We have small kids here and could get no sleep with the constant noise, music and cussing all night. Seriously why is this not enforced? I see so many other reviews complaining about it, with placating responses from staff but obviously all talk and no action. Wish I had looked through Yelp before booking here. read more

My family has been camping at this location for over 30 years. We have experienced ownership changes and with that some rule changes and staff changes. This year's experience was memorable in an unfortunate way. The bathrooms were disgusting and "cleaned" poorly when touched. Previously the staff would clean the bathrooms 3 times a day. Dogs have always been allowed in the RV areas and we have not had a problem until this year, we had to pick up dog droppings in our site 3 times. Staff was constantly doing rounds but not enforcing their rules. For example, smoking not allowed, yet many people were smoking and often staff would be in the area and do nothing. On two separate occasions when I did talk to staff they were rude and did not attempt to resolve the problem or apologize when they realized they were in the wrong. read more

I love this place! I have been here 2 or 3 times although unfortunately not recently for a couple years. The camp sites are great, and some are right on the river. They have RV spots too. There's a pool and horse shoes. The resort has it's own personal beach as well and you can float down the river although you can't float too far otherwise you float into private property. It is located incredibly close to the entrance of the sequoia forest so you could even do a day trip there. it's a bit pricey and there are lots of bugs and no water hook ups at the sites, but they have hotwater showers ($.25/minute or something i believe...) and sinks outside the bathrooms for washing dishes and other things. There's also a little store up the road. If you plan on coming you should book well in advance because this is a family spot that people come to every year and it fills up fast! i probably shouldn't even be rating this place because I don't want people to take it over! hopefully i'll be able to go next summer... UPDATE 10/5/10 I came here with my family in June and we had a really terrible experience because of the ridiculous people who flooded the place. I don't think i will ever come back here because of it or recommend it to people anymore. There were two guys who came THROUGH our site at almost MIDNIGHT and were acting like they were scoping out our camping gear (or, MAYBE just looking for somewhere to get high but acting REALLY shady about, shining their flashlights on our stuff and refusing to address us). Then there was the drunk guy who got into a fight and decided to hop in his truck and SPEED and SKID through the campgrounds at 10 oclock at night. He could have killed somebody because he was driving out of control, completely wasted at a time when people were starting to go to bed. I mean, really the entire weekend was spent dealing with a-holes like that. We felt so uncomfortable and so unsafe that we packed EVERYTHING remotely valuable in our cars every night we were there and i never once left my car keys out of my sight. And it's not like we're some paranoid pampered suburbanites, there was ALOT of shadiness going on. I don't want to completely discount this place because everything in my original review still stands, and I don't think there is really ANYTHING the resort can do besides SERIOUSLY hire fulltime security. But really, they should SERIOUSLY consider hiring security. read more

It's a pretty site with a gorgeous river running through it. The pool is nice, showers were a bit dirty. All that aside, my biggest issue is that this is the single loudest campsite I have ever stayed. There were literally music wars between campsites-it felt like Venice Beach. Hardly slept during my stay. Maybe you enjoy that sort of thing, but it is not why I head to the mountains or go camping. Tack on the ridiculously high cost and I found the entire experience to be wholly unpleasant. I think this could be a delightful place were it not for the loud and obnoxious visitors. I'm not sure what the management could do about it-I think they'd have to make rules about playing loud music (at all hours) then they'd have to enforce them. I wouldn't expect this change since this seems to get their target audience. They are definitely NOT trying to create s tranquil, nature-inspired environment. Would have given it one star but the River is very pretty and the facilities are decent. It's really a shame it's like city bar crawl. read more

Wow what a place just what we were looking for in the "mountains" but a very easy drive with lots of trees that were changing beautiful fall colors the fragrances were wonderful but very close to the city and national parks the staff was very friendly helpful and knowledgeable the river runs right along side of the campground even with a little beach can't wait to go back this summer read more

This is a tent and RV spot right on the river. We had never been and didn't know what to expect. Why we booked is because this is located not far from the Sequoias with easy access to go up and down the hill. We camped in August which was totally hot, there are minimal trees in the RV area and we had the two spots with the biggest tree for shade, it was perfect. The place was packed with a lot of families and everyone at the site having a great time. We hung out in the river and enjoyed chatting with the different families in the water - good times! Fun and cute spot for a quick trip up from HB. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to camp. read more

My family and I really enjoyed our stay this past weekend. The river was beautiful and all the amenities were great. The pool was clean. The showers were free which was awesome and just the friendliness of the staff was amazing. The only reason why I wouldn't put 5 stars is because the restrooms were cleaned during the busiest times where women wanted to shower and use the restroom. The men's restroom was cleaned around 6am so through out the day they were able to shower and use the restroom without waiting. Also, there is a port a potty outside which was useful during emergency restroom necessities but then it was drained and cleaned while we were eating. I would recommend just cleaning it really early or possibly getting a space that's not so close to the restrooms. Other than that it's a beautiful place with easy recommended changes that would improve your stay. read more

I came here with high expectations because this is a place where my friend's family visits once a year every year. This being my first time I expected so much fun with it's close proximity to Sequoia and local bars/breweries. Then I was utterly disappointed. This campground failed everyone with their management of a very crucial situation. First the bathrooms consistently were out of toilet paper and did not stock the soap dispensers. Around 8PM 08/4 - 10AM 8/5 the water stopped working at the campsite; we were told that they were doing everything possible to bring the water back on and that was simply not true. Over the course of the 12 or so hours following the bathroom gradually became more and more disgusting. Toilet paper was building up in the toilet, human waste one the follower, toilet seats and inside the toilet bowl. The smell inside the bathroom was simply unbearable! My group had to use the restrooms at a local bar down the road. Other campers would leave trash all along the beach. The staff would not remove trash from the beach and the trash that was put into the dumpster was overflowing and piling outside the dumpster! The staff did not offer any form of reimbursement for the inconveniences that transpired. read more

I hate when companies take advantage of the consumer. Sequoia campground & Lodge had to be evacuated due to wild fires in Sequoia National park near Three Rivers. With 0% containment the week before my reservation, I cancelled my reservations. The campground charged me $25 for the cancellation even when they have been evacuated and Sequoia National Park being closed. THIS COMPANY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR GUEST AT ALL COST. read more

Below average rating. Campground sits on a beautiful piece of land right along the river, that you can go and play in. But unfortunately the facilities don't match the beauty. There's 2 restroom locations not far from each other on each end of the property. Sinks in neither work consistently. Men's doesn't work at all in one. Only hot or cold water work in other men's and women's. Pool shower is only high enough to rinse your feet after swimming, not your hair or rest of your body for some reason. There's bare wires inches from one of the men's showers. There's no where in the restroom to place your things while showering without getting wet, such as a hook or bench. I had to double up some curtain hooks for my bag to keep it off the floor while showering. They want you to shut the water off after using, because it's well water, but you can't because the sinks leak. I suppose this would be a great campground for those who are use to primitive camping but not for those of us who appreciate the finer details hints in life, like working plumbing. And you'd think for over $100/night on a weekend they'd have their act together. Do yourself a favor and be warned. I'll stick with KOAs whenever possible. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. Went for a little getaway and thought camping would be a great way to socially distance and be outdoors. Worst idea ever. Ended up spending about an hour and a half to eat some lunch before packing up and coming home. Luckily we live not too far so that was an option. Campground was stuffed to the brim full of people. Not one single person wore a face mask. In fact people made rude comments at us for wearing ours. Staff didn't wear face masks either. This is discouraging because after doing a little research I see cases are rising in the are since reopening the parks in early July. Camping lots were full of people. Most had over six, which I believe the website advertises six as being the limit per space. The spots are very close together and my site (#16) happened to be the only one without a tree so it was ridiculously hot. Too hot to even go inside the tent and change our clothes. My spot also didn't have a fire pit like I was told it would, I had emailed prior to arriving asking if it did and they said yes. Didn't bother looking at the bathrooms because I didn't want to get that close to anyone. They say they've closed the pool and other areas to aid in social distancing. This doesn't mean anything when you allow people to gather in large groups in the river. This totally defeats the purpose of closing anything else in the campground. IMO they should set out spots that can be reserved by the water so that people have an area they could be in. Also they should consider renting out every other tent space. The tent spaces are so small that it's hard to socially distance. Either your in the middle of the space with everyone else or near the road where people are walking by. Not to mention the amount of people that simply cut through our area without any regard. I didn't see one staff member going around "cleaning high touch surfaces" as they state and not once was I informed I had the option of doing a self check in like their pamphlet (that was handed to me upon check in stated). This last part goes more to the people in the camp and not the workers, but it didn't occur to me that this area would be one I would feel so uncomfortable with. I'm a member of the LGBTQ community and brought my partner and child along with me. Had people gawking, making snide comments, and snickering at us. We didn't hold hands, didn't kiss, or do anything PDA but I do have short hair and wear tomboy clothes and my daughter refers to us as moms. Anyways if you've made it this far into my review, long story short, I wouldn't return if it was not covid and you paid me. Oh and for anyone who might be curious a great alternative to staying here would be setting up a tent in your yard. That's what we ended up doing when we got home (just before dark) and it was 10000xs more fun. read more

Came here a week and a half ago for our 1st family camping trip and the place was packed, lots of family, which made me feel comfortable, until we got to our RV site. All the sites have grass lawns but small, we got lucky that we booked an end site so it made our area somehow "bigger" but not big enough to park our truck, which my husband had to park across the way from us in able for traffic to get through. By 6pm a party had started going on a couple of sites from us, (which didn't bother us, it was still early after all) was immediately cut short or at least was told to keep it down by security and by 10pm "quiet time" was well observed by everyone. There was a beach area and of course the nice cool river where people relaxed and hung out at. Adjacent to that is the activity area where they have a horseshoe pit and volleyball. The fact that its so close to Sequoia National Park makes this a decent enough of a place to stay at... read more

We camped here August 6-8, 2015 and this was by far the loudest campsite we have ever experienced. We stayed in a normal camp lot, and it contained a fire pit and a bench. I definitely would not recommend staying here during the peak season, but would consider staying during the spring off-season. If you must stay here, a river site or cabin is by far the better choice. Otherwise, if you are here for Sequoia National Park, consider booking earlier and staying in the park itself. By experience, that is a much better choice than playing your chances with Kaweah Park Resort. CONS: The sites are small and close together, so the peak season crowd was overwhelming and it felt uncomfortably packed. We were surrounded by large family groups who played loud music past curfew, and witnessed inappropriate swearing and fighting, which did not fit our understanding of the Resort's "family-friendly" atmosphere. The cleanliness of the facilities are acceptable, but a single bathroom/shower structure serves the entire campground (there is another more primitive bathroom) and the layout is cramped. Even though the campsite is not cheap, you still have to pay for shower time (25c for 5 minutes). Although there is a 10pm curfew, it does not seem to be honored by much of the guests and there is no regular enforcement. PROS: The management is very friendly and accomodating. They are helpful and address problems immediately. When we complained about the noise, they confronted the campers and fixed the problem. The location of the Resort is convenient (easy to locate, across the street from a General Store, and an hour away from Sequoia NP's Giant Forest parking lot) and quite beautiful and calm (when the crowd is quiet), especially at the river lots. We hope that this review will encourage the management to be more vigilant in future enforcement of the curfew. read more

Im so triggered right now! Trauma with how filthy this place is! Comparable to a prison! The audacity of how irresponsible this campground is! Since the start bathrooms have been messy, people throw trash everywhere from campground to the river. The employees don't do their job nor care. The place is a complete mess! Would not recommend this place at all! On day 3 the water supply cut off so no access to toilet and shower! No immediate reaction to situate the issue! If you plan on having an enjoyable camping trip avoid this place at all cost!!! read more

We came for a short weekend visit. The bathrooms were clean. The shower stalls were a little tight but comfortable. There is one large bathroom facility with shower stalls and one small bathroom facility. We camped in our old Coleman tent right on the river. It was very relaxing. The staff was friendly. there is a market and restaurants about 5 miles up the road. The overnight price was very reasonable. They also offer full hookups and pull through pads for Rv's. Best of all its located less than 30 mins from Sequía National Park. read more

Neighboring RV & campground sites are letting you cancel up to 24 hours before arrival date due to the fires but not Sequoia Campground & Lodge? Very bad business practice in my opinion. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I also wish I had yelped this place prior to booking. Clearly this site and management give no regard to improvement based on other yelp reviews. The check-in staff were actually nice and helpful. However, we had an incident where we had to switch campsites due to two separately booked reservations. We were moving our campsite earlier than the set check in time because the previous campers left early and we got approval to do so. I had checked in with one of the staff members who confirmed we were in the right site (the numbers can be very confusing because they are all packed together) and wished us a good day. We left to the lake with all of our stuff already set up for the day. Upon return, the same staff member told us we were actually in the wrong site and that we had to move "now and in a timely manner". We were 4 adults and 4 babies and we told them we would start moving but it might take us some time because we just got there and it was 100 degrees. I explained to them that we were confirmed at this spot by a staff member and we obviously didn't try to intentionally take over another campsite. I guess this was not fast enough because they sent out another staff member out to yell at us to move "right now" after we had told them we would be moving as fast as we can. I let them know again that this was THEIR mistake and that we would be moving as fast as possible. Instead of apologizing or even offering to help move our campsite, this staff member proceeds to threaten my party that they would call the sheriff because we are "trespassing". Mind you, we are PAYING customers who had been there already for two nights. I proceed to say "OK, Karen", because who calls the Sheriff on people for doing nothing?? A sheriff vehicle proceeds to drive through the campsite. Luckily nothing happened, but rather than providing hospitality or customer service, they chose to call the sheriff. The next day, I received an email from them saying we are no longer welcomed at their campsite given my "party's behavior". I called them to ask for an explanation, and the manager proceeds to condescendingly ask how I didn't see the numbered campsite after I told her that their staff CONFIRMED our location and saw us move, and proceeds to say that it was our fault. She continues to say that calling their staff member "Karen" is racist. The manager is white, and I am brown woman of color. Go figure. Given everything that is going on in the world, I recommend their staff and management educate themselves on what being a Karen means, what being a racist means, take hospitality, management, and deescalation courses, and stop charging people ridiculous prices for a campsite that clearly is not worth it. In addition, the manager proceeds to hang up in my face. Talk about customer service. If you want to be jam packed with other campers who party all night, (literally 40+ people in one site), hear excessively loud music, cut through each other's campsite, leave trash everywhere, and experience terrible and rude management that choose to call the sheriff on you rather than help you when it was their mistake, then this campsite could be for you. Also, zero social distancing and masks were practiced here among staff, nor was it enforced in the bathrooms or their office. I got an email said they are closing for good. This is so sad :-( I liked this place allot. I wished I the money to buy this park from the owners as it would be the dream job of my life to run a camp ground. May God bless the owners and I wish them all the best. Thank you for letting me and my family fish. We didn't catch any thing but it was nice of the gentleman to allow me to fish for the hour before sun set. Maybe this summer if it snows enough will come back. read more

Great place to get away from all the ruckus of city living, yet close enough to not be bored from a long 3 hour plus drive. Very quaint place and the scenery is refreshing and of course relaxing. Will definitely make this a normal place to camp out! read more

Gorgeous & Peaceful! A get-away so close to home! Beautiful Scenery next to the sound & view of the river. A small kitchen, bbq, picnic tables & comfy beds. I'm doing this more often. read more

This place is absolutely horrible the employees can walk around telling you to shut up but can't stock the toilet with paper or soap, this is biohazard!!! the showers and bathrooms went down and no one could shower or flush the toilet!!!! The sand is covered in trash and cans!!! Don't come here!!! read more

This is a fun little campground with friendly staff and very clean. We came in without reservation and had a great time.

This place is so bad and cost us 100 a night to camp. The bathrooms were so small , no place to hang a towel or put your bag anywhere except the dirty floor and the bathrooms were so disgusting the whole time. People arguing, swearing and fighting in the next site was not a pleasant experience... no security. The pictures look nice and the river was cold but that's about it. read more

We stayed in a cabin and when we first walked in everything seems good. Room was clean and spacious. That is until the next day when in the morning I opened the shower door, and to my horror the entire shower was covered in mold. It was dirty and the floor has deep yellow stains on it. I told the manager about it to see if we can switch rooms, but unfortunately they were all booked up. I asked her to give us a partial refund and she said the owner comes in on Monday and she'll take care of it. She will give me a call. Well it's been almost a week later and I received no call, no refunds. There was no sense of urgency on the manager or owner's part to want to make this situation right for us. We were stuck in a room with a moldy dirty shower that we couldn't utilize. What a waste of money staying here. I posted pictures. Please take a look at it and do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! read more
