Right from the get go our on-site coordinators helped ensure that everything went perfectly in the lead up to our special day and on it. We had amazing food and drink for us and all our guests, exceptionally well kept rooms, and an easy working experience for all our external vendors who contributed to our special day. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful in its design with its Spanish influenced architecture and every room having a little balcony overlooking the intimate courtyard or if its on the outside of the hotel, the downtown Palo Alto area. We honestly couldn't have imagined a better venue for our wedding, everyone had a good time and not a single thing went wrong. My wife and I were even in the penthouse for the weekend, an amazing two bedroom suite on the top floor with not one but TWO private balconies, a jet tub, and a beautiful double sink bathroom with the works. el PRADO made sure that the most special day in my life went perfectly and me and my wife will always remember that.

The issue was that the cleaning staff did not clean the bathroom at the 2nd night. The bathtub was dirty, so we had to clean it up. The floss and toilet paper were not filled. We did not bother to call as it was near midnight. We were disappointed it was not cleaned even with the high tips we left on the 1st night. Also, we were not explained about breakfast areas and complimentary drinks when we checked in. We found it out when we were checking out.

Why 4 stars? Because this ended up being a really solid hotel for my stay…read more --- --- --- I was attending a conference in Redwood City and there was not many great hotel options to choose from. I opted for the Courtyard many for Bonvoy purposes, but I wasn't sure how the walk to my conference would be. It was at the Fox Theater and basically about one mile away, but when in California, you never know how sketchy a walk can be. As it turns out, zero percent sketchy. As for the hotel itself, it had free parking, which was nice because I had a rental car and a friend that stopped by to visit. However, I ended up getting a note that I parked somewhere I wasn't supposed to, and was completely confused about that because I parked where everyone else did and there was no signage saying my spot was forbidden. Oh well. The lobby had a "restaurant" with a few items and coffee, as well as a small area with drinks and snacks. Once in the room, it wasn't overly impressive, but did the job. The biggest drawback for me were the tiny pillows (I still don't know anyone who prefers a small pillow over a long one. But when I asked for a couple extras, they were normal sized, so I was able to create a makeshift body pillow out of those. The shower had good pressure and got super hot, so no notes there. There was a small couch, which was perfect because I wanted to watch an NBA playoff game while I was in here and am glad I didn't have to do so from the bed. (Apologies to anyone who heard lots of yelling from room 414 during your stay). I got coffee each morning, but learned my lesson from ordering food the first day. The avocado toast was, um, rough. But hey, all of the hotel stuff was pretty good, so that's what's

Check-in was quick, easy and friendly, covered first level parking, big, clean room on the second floor with a King and breakfast for two in the morning. Oh, and a Keurig type coffee maker in the room. No extra charge for parking and breakfast. Breakfast had extensive choices for menu items (self-serve) including coffee, juices, fresh pancakes (cool machine) and several hot items. The only thing missing was the waffle maker we see in some places :) This Hilton Express exceeded all my expectations. We will return next time we need a room in the area.

We were exhausted, and ready to hit the hay after a quick shower. This location is new to us and we didn't know it would be kind of right on the main road, but the building was pretty easy to find with GPS even though it was quite dark out. The street this hotel is on was kind of sketchy in some parts, but it is Rewood City, so it was still pretty safe. We parked quickly and went into the lobby to check in. We had to wait about 5 minutes as someone else was checking in who actually just booked in person and paid cash. Thankfully it looked like he just last minute needed a place to stay with his girlfriend/wife and it wasn't like a motel transaction going on. In any case, we got checked in and went up to our room on 2nd floor. I thought about asking for a room on the 3rd floor in case we would hear noise from the floor above, but any noise was well insulated enough that it was quite quiet all night. From the photos you can see it's standard HIE room layout, decor, bedding, bathroom set-up. All of it were pretty clean and smelled fresh if a little strong of chemicals. The only thing were that there's not enough hangers and the bench was worn out. The beds were standard hotel queens, comfortable, but not as big as real queens, so more like doubles. The shower was strong but a little weird to operate. We slept pretty well, and the AC cycled on and off to cool the room but we set it so we wouldn't freeze. Next morning, we went down to the first floor for the breakfast which was pretty standard HIE fare. There were quite a lot of guests, so the room got a bit crowded but the staff replenished the food quickly and people came and went so there was room enough for those who wanted to eat there rather than take back to their room. We ate and then packed up and checked out. My husband and kids checked out the fitness room and said it was literally just a couple of treadmills and that was it, there were no free weights or anything else, so that was disappointing. There's also no pools or a spa here so if you're looking for those amenities, this is not the right hotel for you. Overall, if was a good stay, but we probably wouldn't come back if we were not just passing through and needed a place to stay for the night before getting back.

I would've given five stars if it were not for the attitude of the server in the breakfast area. She was rude It was 6:25 and the free breakfast was not set up with the exception of the oatmeal and the coffee. I was unaware that it didn't begin until 6:30. But when I tried to get some oatmeal, the woman said, "Let me do that for you" and I thought she was being helpful, But then she said, "You need to wait a until 6:30 like that guy over there" and she pointed to a young man sitting in the lobby who had probably need shamed. The bananas were old, the eggs were watery, and the sausages looked like your fingers when you're in the water too long. Not Marriott customer ser worthy of bragging about ...only because of her. The next day she was still salty according to the look on her face.

We were told breakfast would be weekend hours on Memorial Day holiday, with breakfast service ending at 9:30am, when we had asked the front desk the day before. We arrived at 8:30am and we noticed they had run out of most items and were no longer restocking breakfast, despite having 15 people in line waiting for breakfast and a full dining room of guests still eating (there were literally no tables open to eat). Despite all the guests waiting, they started cleaning up and outing everything away right at 9am, with no deference for the guests who had been waiting in line for food. The employees working breakfast, including what looked like a manager of some sort, were cold and not accommodating at all, despite how obvious the situation was. Even though we arrived at 8:30am, they did not restock the eggs, there was no milk for cereal, no yogurt, no hot water for tea, no bread for toast, etc. How hard is it to realize you have a full hotel full of guests staying over a holiday weekend, to stay open weekend hours? And how hard is it to order food accordingly? Our kids who don't eat meat went back to the room hungry, because the only item out was meat -- what a real disappointment. When we tried to talk to the employees, all they could say was "breakfast ends at 9am -- there is no more food." Did they really not have more food, or did they just not want to put it out the 30 minutes before they ended breakfast at 9am? The rest of the hotel is fine. The rooms were reasonably clean and modern. The pool is a joke. The outside grounds, especially around the back, were dirty and cluttered with garbage. The customer service attitude at breakfast was simply unacceptable. This hotel deserves it 2-3 star rating on Yelp, and now we know why: they just don't care about their guests.
