I stopped by Serafina Aventura during my lunch break for their ladies night girl dinner special, which included truffle fries and a martini. The deal itself was nice and perfect for a quick, cute midday outing. The truffle fries were flavorful and the martini hit the spot, so no complaints there. However, the service could've been more attentive I found myself waiting a bit longer than expected, especially considering it wasn't overly busy. Overall, it was an okay experience. Not bad, but not super memorable either. I'd maybe give it another try, just hoping for a little more attentiveness next time. read more

This was honestly a huge letdown. The place itself is beautiful, but that's about where the positives end. The food is extremely overpriced for what you get. I ordered the penne alla vodka with added steak, and the steak tasted completely charred, with no real seasoning. The pasta had barely any sauce, wasn't creamy at all, and honestly reminded me of a frozen supermarket meal. We were a group of five, had just one round of drinks, and the bill came out to nearly $400, which felt completely unreasonable for the quality. Service didn't help the experience either. Our server wasn't very friendly and was quite pushy, repeatedly trying to get us to order a tomahawk steak even after we said no multiple times, which felt odd for an Italian restaurant to begin with. Also worth noting, the gratuity is already included in the bill, which might explain the lack of effort and attentiveness we experienced. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it and definitely won't be coming back. It's a beautiful space, but unfortunately, that's not enough to make up for everything else. read more

Happened to be in the area and in search of a good happy hour. Turns out when we went, it's only available if you sit at the bar but it was already pretty full. We wanted to sit outdoors but there was a private event going on so we sat inside instead. We got crispy calamari to start and then for my entree I ordered the fettuccine pasta with filet bites. The meat was delicious, even the chicken Parmesan was tasty. We started with an italian tomato soup which was so delcious, very big portion, so we shared it. I had a steak which was delicious with steamed veggies. My family and I went to Serafina Miami for Mother's Day lunch, and it was amazing! Serafina is located in Aventura mall. Serafina has a modern Italian waterfront ambience with bright colors. I highly recommend making reservations because Serafina does get crowded. Our waiter was great; he helped us navigate through the menu and accommodated all of our needs. The food was amazing, and the portions were huge. My favorite was the shrimp salad and rigatoni pasta which were packed with flavor paired well with their focaccia bread, and filling. soooooo This pains me to write this review I've been going to Serafina in New York City for 30 years , but every time I come to Miami, I go to the Serafina in the Aventura mall because it has been better than my local New York Serafina !! I have been to this AVENTURA Serafina 15 times in the past two years . Today I went to Serafina Aventura to get my same meal that I get every single time. The Caprese salad and focaccia di sofia..... I literally drive from my hotel in Miami Beach to Aventura mall for this meal It's usually a 45 minute drive, but today was an hour and 45 minutes. No big deal because I was excited for my meal ...I sat down at the table ordered my meal. What came out was NOT focaccia di sofia but it was a pizza with mozzarella inside of it .... I asked to speak to the manager and explain that this is not focaccia di sofia which he informed me that they recently changed the menu but they kept focaccia di sofia on the menu because it was so popular ... I said that's great but this is definitely not focaccia di sofia..... In his condescending Italian accent, he said "no, but it is...IT IS maybe you are incorrect ... I then pulled up a picture for him of what focaccia di sofia actually looks like ...( see below ) I said Sir I've been coming to this restaurant for 30 years. This is not. focaccia di Sofia He insisted that it was and then said it's a mix of cheeses... I immediately pointed out that that's not what the menu says... He asked me if he could make it again.... I said of course, because that's why I came here.... To my immediate confusion, they brought another pizza back out to me, but now the cheese was on top of Dough at that point there is no reason for me to go any further with the conversation because if the manager doesn't know what it is forget it.... Hopeless The staff was great but it's like they're all missing a step. The vibe was off. The atmosphere was off. There is fake cheesy dusty flowers over the Serafina sign. It's lost its pizzazz.... The food was excellent across the board -- beautifully prepared, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when going out for a great Italian meal. My wife and I decided for a quick pit stop dinner date while finishing some shopping. We stopped by Serafina because it is further away from the main food area and always has great food. Food: 5 out of 5 - My wife and I have yet to have a bad food experience here. We got two entrees and an appetizer as well as two drinks (one Shirley temple and a glass of wine). The drinks came out quickly and the appetizer followed soon after. The mozzarella and prosciutto were amazing. Usually my wife gets the Penne Vodka, but today she decided to get the Cacio E Pepe. It was amazing. Not only do they prepare the food in front of you, it smells and looks amazing. This was the star of the dinner. Absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it. I picked the chicken parmasean and while it was flavorful, it wasn't anything special. Both portions were large enough for an extra day of leftovers. Service: 5 out of 5 - Our waiter was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and was quick to check with the kitchen for any food allergies or restrictions. He was extremely attentive and went out of his way to make sure we felt welcomed. One of the best service we've had at restaurants in this mall. Ambiance: 3 out of 5 - Usually this place is extremely busy, but today it was a bit quieter. Had an impromptu stop here Saturday for lunch around 1p and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Drinks were good, my Serafina salad was delicious, my kids penne a la vodka was excellent and my pizza was also good. That vodka sauce had all of us dipping the focaccia into it because it was that good. Atmosphere was clean, upscale and very pleasant even with a family with two small kids. What an experience! Located at Aventura Mall. At first I was a bit skeptical because I thought restaurants in a mall can be a swing and miss. But luckily this place did not disappoint! We had a cesar salad that is big enough for 2 people and a personal pepperoni pizza. The pizza was good my husband really enjoyed it, the crust was crispy but not burnt and when you pull a slice has the pull cheese effect. The main event was the Cacio E Pepe. You have the option to have them make it in the back or cook it tableside. Honestly if you like to watch food be prepared then give it a try. The gentleman who prepared our food made us laugh & drool over our food. They really make the whole experience interactive and the smell of cheese melting is a great one. And the food 10/10 we added chicken to the pasta and made it even better. Staff was really attentive and made the experience really great. Would recommend to visit! Staff is very good, have never had any issues with service at all. But I believe new management or ownership etc took over 12-18 months ago and they've cheapened some things. They no longer have multiple wines by the glass. Though they're a chain, with restaurants in other cities (like NYC that I've been to), this Miami location inside Aventura Mall was better than expected. I had a hard time deciding between the cacio e pepe and the Chilean sea bass special so I ordered both for my friend and I to share. The cacio e pepe was phenomenal - loved the "not overly" al dente pasta and the cheese was perfection. The Chilean sea bass, served over mashed potatoes and spinach, was really good. Only minor criticism is that some parts of the fish were not evenly cooked, so there were bites that I felt were definitely undercooked. It needed a few more minutes on the grill, but it wasn't bad enough for me to raise it to our server's attention. My glass of Riesling was underwhelming and tasted like cheap wine. Good service. A lack of ambiance due to the restaurant not having privacy or separation from the mall and too many kids running around and bumping into the back of our booth. read more

My go to place for lunch when I'm at the mall! On this trip, I ordered an Aperol Spritz and started with an appetizer of tuna and salmon tartare which was a big portion. The fresh fish and ginger hit the spot. Very delicious! For an entrée we split the fettuccine with grilled chicken, peas and mushrooms in a white cream sauce. Man, what a gem of a restaurant. We had very low expectations for a restaurant nestled in a mall, but Serafina delivered exceptional service and food. Quickly greeted by a charming host and seated immediately at 530pm on a Wednesday. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and bar offerings. He offered menu items based on our favorites and everything we ordered was INCREDIBLE. All the dishes were hefty and plenty to share around the table. Flavors were beautifully balanced. So good!
