An amazing experience ! The food was exceptionally delicious and our waitress Sabrina attended us non stop throughout the night. She was very pleasant and welcoming and was attentive all the time to our every need. The truffled pizza with mushrooms is an absolute must and so were the grilled tasty shishito peppers and the roasted beet salad. The main course of prime ribeye was so tasty and cooked exactly as we asked for. We loved it! We were seated on the outside terrace that was so beautifully lit and the atmosphere was very inviting. I was in Hollywood, Fl a couple months ago and decided on Amalfi for a nice dinner date. The service was a bit slow even though the restaurant only had a few tables seated at the time. We loved their Focaccia bread. We've been chasing that ever since, hoping to find as good a Focaccia bread in CA somewhere. The steak I got was supposed to be medium rare but it was quite rare/blue, so it got taken back to cook a little longer. Not great, especially since it's a char-style. My favorite restaurant at Aventura mall. I come here for lunch, happy hour or dinner at least 3 times a month and it never disappoints. The service is great, the drinks are delicious and the food is so well seasoned. Sometimes I sit inside but my favorite is to sit outside and people watch as they walk by. I have been to The Amalfi Llama a few times and every time I had the same experience. The food was good, but the service was not great. Starting with the positives there are several different options including, steak, chicken, seafood, pizza, sandwiches and more. My personal favorite is the "Amalfi Burger", but I do not think you can go wrong with any of the food options. In terms of the atmosphere, even though the restaurant is located at a mall, the ambiance is nice. Every time I have visited, I have sat in the outdoor seating area which I would highly recommend.   Now on to the major short coming, the service. In all of my visits the staff have been inattentive, pushy on higher costing food items and all around not very helpful.   Overall, The Amalfi Llama has good food and a nice ambiance, but the service falls short, big time. read more

This was easily the best steak I've had in the last couple of years. Even if the empanadas fell flat, everything else we ordered was better than expected. The restaurant was near empty when my associate and I went in on a weekday for an early dinner, and based upon the quality of the food, I'm unsure why it isn't packed all the time. Came in for happy hour and was immediately impressed. The ambiance is stunning. It was warm, earthy, and upscale without being pretentious. I had wine and oysters at the bar, and both were excellent. The oysters were fresh and beautifully presented, and the wine selection was solid. I ordered the Cacio e Pepe to go, and I'm still thinking about it. This place is an absolute ripoff. Went here on a date, the water said they had a special for the night "branzino topped with caviar", my date decided to order it. Turns out it wasn't a special, it was a filet of branzino and the waiter charged us for an entire can of caviar and dumped it on top of the Branzino, charged us $300 for the "special". Total bill was $700 for two people and it wasn't even worth it, had to talk to the manager about the "scam special" and it looked at me like I was the one who has never heard of dumping an entire can of caviar on top of branzino. We had such a great dinner at The Amalfi Llama. The drinks were superb and the apps were to die for. We had the short rib empanadas, the focaccia, and the tuna tartare. The dinner meals were just average- we probably would have been better just eating apps. We had the prime rib French dip, it was okay, but there was more arugula than prime rib but that was disappointing. We also had the Positano pizza. We heard rave reviews about it but it was undercooked and it looked like it sat out for a while before coming to the table. Our server was Pedro and he was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed to make our dinner a great one. The ambiance was very nice- it was not very loud with music and there was a woman singing on the speaker and we found out she was in another part of the restaurant singing live. I was looking for a new restaurant to try out for my brother's birthday and this one did not disappoint. The staff was so friendly and welcoming on arrival. The restaurant is also very spacious with so many options for seating as well as two bars. Our server Julian was so helpful with any questions we had about our drinks or describing certain dishes. We ordered lychee martinis which were very delicious and not overly sweet but a true martini. For appetizer we ordered the calamari and it came with two dips (spicy aioli and tartar) there were also some jicama in and peppers added that gave it a nice touch. For our main dishes my brother ordered the prime ribeye (12 oz) Oscar style (crab and bearnaise). My mom had the Scottish Salmon that comes with asparagus, arugula and roasted tomatoes. I ordered the lamb chops (18 oz) medium and it was perfectly charred on the outside and medium on the inside. For our sides we ordered the asparagus and potato purée. Everyone loved their dish and it was cooked exactly as we requested. We also ordered a prosciutto and arugula pizza to share and it was the best pizza I've had for a long time. The crust was thin and light it's not tomato based but very tasty. Definitely try the pizza if you can. Now for dessert we had tiramisu and vanilla gelato with mixed berry compote. It was all delicious and not too sweet. I was so happy dinner was amazing and everyone enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area to try it. Jose took such great care of us and answered all our questions, steering us in the right direction as first timers. First, the service was quick and attentive. We walked in at 6:15 and had all our dessert by 7 pm. We got the miami spice menu and tried the tuna tartare and the beef empanadas, both tasty. The chimichurri was amazing. We also split a Caesar salad and margarita pizza. Make sure you try the pizza!! The milamessi was fine, nothing to write home about but the branzino was amazing! And great portion sizes. Dined her for the first time yesterday. Very friendly and accommodating staff, ambiance was very nice as well. Food wasn't terrible but not great either. The appetizers were good, we got the crab cake and roasted burrata which were very good. The lobster bisque soup lacked flavor and the chunks of lobster meat in them tasted like frozen meat that wasn't completely thawed. My wife had the salmon meal which she was was very tasty and I had the rib eye which had zero flavor to it. A little bit of seasoning would go a long way for that steak. All in all I'm 50/50 on this place. I will try again - won't order the steak - maybe a pasta or something else. read more

First time at Amalfi, my husband has been before and hasn't stopped talking about it since that first visit. Beautiful inside and out this place is a heavy contender when visiting aventura mall. Good for groups or an intimate dinner with a loved one. Open table offers reservations and I made one conveniently before walking in for a party of 4. We opted to hit the bar while we waited for our other two to join us. The bartender was friendly and immediately tended to us, made a mean old fashion then sent us on our way when our table was ready. For drinks we started off with two old fashions. Second round we tried the Woodford Place and the purple orchid. The Woodford Place was a lot more aggressive in flavor than I had anticipated, definitely an acquired tasted, reminiscent of strong cough medicine. Not for me but others may enjoy. The purple orchid was on the sweeter side but much easier to drink and something I would get again. Now for the food, the appetizer options are so hard to choose from. We landed on the hamachi crudo, Puccia bread, beef carpaccio, the short rib empanadas and the Positano pizza. I'm still thinking about the Beef Carpaccio, this place is doing it right. Thinly sliced and such a refreshing bite that will be something I get every visit. The empanadas were good but not something I would get on repeat. The positano pizza was so good we almost ordered a second, the hot honey really makes it. The hamachi was fresh and had a nice bite from the Serrano pepper on top, would recommend if you are into raw fish. The puccia bread was recommended by the waitress, comes paired with a whipped eggplant dip. It was good but not enough flavor for me to get again. Second round of food we didn't have much room left and ordered the margarita pizza and the baked Tagliolini. I read on yelp prior to ordering that the Baked Tagliolini was the way to go and my Yelpers did not disappoint. This pasta was creamy and flavorful but also so light. Pasta felt hand made and even being as full as we were it was the cherry on top of an already phenomenal meal. Now for dessert, we knew we couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu and both couples opted for an affogato. The have a choice of chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla, or pistachio gelato. We had hazelnut and the others had chocolate, I almost wish I had done pistachio because both were SOOO good. The cheesecake was ok for me, more cheese than cake and I wish it was a little sweeter. Over all this place has the friendliest staff I've encountered in quite some time. Everyone I walked by smiled or asked me if I needed anything, very kind and attentive. All I can say is wow! 5 stars. From the service to the food to the decor. We were instantly greeted at the door when we walked in. They had a new art display of Mesi's shoe made out of recycle items and fishline. Pretty dope display. They sat us in the back in the patio where it was nice and cool. Unfortunately, my Fiancé kept getting bit up by mosquitoes (good ole Miami) and we had to move inside. They had no issues with it all and politely moved us to a table that was close to the patio so we still had the ambiance of outdoor but inside. We ordered an espresso martini with tequila (strong and delicious) my fiancé ordered the purple haze which he thought was sweet but strong. We ordered the short rib empanada. The meat was a little too dry for me. I wish they would've left the sauce from the short rib. But it was good overall. The chimichurri has a little fishy taste as they use some kind of seafood oil or something in it. The pasitanos pizza....WOWOWOOW TO DIE FOR!
