At first this seemed like a good place. My 12 year old son liked it... but second week there,…read morethings went wrong. Some 18 year old boy, went too hard on my son and nearly put my son in a hospital.... it would have been fine if he just did the rear choke and be done with it. But no, he purposely tried folding my son backwards, leaving my son unable to move for a few minutes. Thank our lucky stars and all the gods that my son is fine. And i noticed the tone of the 18 year olds voice.... just something about the way he was "apologizing".... almost condescending and mocking like "I am ssssoooo saaaaaawryyyy".... So i told that scumbag: if you purposely injure my son, you will go to jail.... next week (today Thursday, Jun 11 2026).... we go back there.... main coach talks to me outside. Main coach: why did you blow up on my student threatening him that you will put him in a hospital!? Secondary coach and the 18 year both confirmed that you said that.... Me: the fuk? no... then i explained the whole thing.... Main coach then says that some other student is afraid to roll with my son because of me.... and we knew that there were adults in that class.... aha so because there are adults it's ok for my son to get hurt? also i used to practice jiu jitsu, i was a second year blue belt, and when new student came in, i let them practice their moves on me with slight resistance so they could get used to it, and when we actually rolled i never hurt anyone, so that whole "there are adults" there is just a lame pathetic cop out excuse.... yeah ok.... main coach then proceeds to tell me that some other 18 year old just had a tragedy and although that is unfortunate, and I sympathize, that has nothing to do with what happened to my son.... so main coach tried guilt tripping me.... then proceeded to tell me that the one who hurt my son is a good kid and they are not teaching bad things blah blah blah... and if i had said - what ever they told the main coach that i apparently said, to the other kid, he would kick my ass out... so i tell my son we're leaving.... and dig this, main coach says he was gonna give me a second chance second chance at what? paying 200$ a month and have that "good" kid keep hurting my son by "accident"? dont bring your children there.... worst place ever....

Limitless Martial Arts 10/10, will go again…read more If you skip the rest, I want to say one thing: "No Contracts". .. if you've trained in other martial arts, you know that this is a *huge* commit by the staff to your experience and school culture. ---- I've been attending ~3-4x/wk since Dec 2022, Muay Thai & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes. I'm a middle aged adult in average shape. I've attended a range of martial arts and am a military veteran. Here is what I've seen so far: - The coaches are knowledgeable and experienced. - There is a family culture which is passionate & welcoming. - The emphasis is on student growth. Real-life + schedule pressures are ok. - (culture) The advanced students are about knowledge transfer & don't act threatened or indifferent to new members. Regarding the facility and operations: - Facility is clean and well-maintained. Walk in and notice - no locker room smell. - No contracts! Payment stuff has been no-friction for me. - Uniform requirements are fair and affordable (check out reddit BJJ $$$ horror stories). - My classes are not typically crowded, have experienced more 1:1 attention (accelerating progress). -Rob https://www.facebook.com/thelimitlessofco/

Minus 2 stars for customer service. I had a sudden move during one of the covid spikes that put me…read moreliving in Black Hawk. Didn't attend for a few months and realized I was being charged still. Played phone tag for 3 weeks trying to cancel just to have them finally tell me I need to come in in person to sign. This was after I told them that it is no longer convenient for me to attend do to over an hour commute and change in work schedule. I came in one day at 4:30, not realizing they are completely closed. Called hoping I could get an answer but there number just sends you to a voicemail EVERY SINGLE TIME. They are worse than big corporate gyms with how they handle someone trying to cancel. Minus 1 star for lack of class availability. 10am and 7pm being the only times for a newcomer to make a class is tough. Minus 1 star for muay thai training. Paying $200 a month and spending multiple classes doing ladder footwork drills that the head coach did in high shool is a bit silly.
