Update: After posting my original review, the owner provided screenshots showing that messages had been sent through the Square app. While I appreciate receiving that information, it does not change my overall experience. One point that I feel is important to clarify is that my concerns about communication began before the eyebrow incident and before the missed appointment. I reported to the front desk that I was no longer receiving appointment reminders and notifications and was told that the owner would contact me regarding the issue. To my knowledge, that never happened. The communication issue was the first problem I raised. Later, I experienced burns to both eyebrows following a waxing appointment that lasted nearly two weeks before healing. Despite these concerns, I never felt there was any meaningful effort to address the issues I had raised. The owner later explained that messages had been sent through the Square app, including a message informing me that future appointments would not be accepted. However, after I had already reported communication problems, I do not understand why there was no direct phone call or email regarding my concerns or the decision to discontinue services. In fact, on the same day that I called the salon attempting to discuss my concerns, a message was sent informing me that the salon would no longer be providing services. I fully respect a business's right to choose who they do business with. My disappointment is not that the owner made that decision. My disappointment is that the decision appears to have been made after I raised concerns about communication and my service experience, without any meaningful attempt to resolve those concerns first. Looking back, I believe the communication breakdown was the root of many of the issues that followed. Rather than addressing those concerns, the business relationship was ultimately ended. As a customer, I was left feeling dismissed rather than heard. Potential customers should be aware that if you have concerns regarding communication or your service experience, your concerns may not be addressed in the way you expect. My experience was that the relationship ended before those issues were ever meaningfully discussed or resolved.

Like any other EWC, there were appointments available with no particular specialist. I was booked with Shaely for a Brazilian. It was a little difficult to find, only because I had never been to this location. However once I saw the signage up top I knew what general direction to walk and eventually found it. When I walked in on 5/20 at about 4:30, I was greeted by the biggest smiles from the 2 receptionists. It set such a pleasant mood. It was a little dim but it was near closing time so I didn't think too much about it. I walked up to their wall of products after being checked in and filling out the waiver. I noticed new products on the shelf (especially the new ingrown mist they have!) so I wanted to see what that was about. Before I could read the bottle Shaely came and got me for my appointment. When I walked in I let her know about my lack of dry brush usage due to not packing it when traveling and that I did have an ingrown! Shaely was incredibly gentle, working around the area AND she even brought up the products I was just looking at. She dove deep into explaining the differences in products and which would be best for me. After discussing my regimen and needs from a product, I bought the ingrown wipes. Since I already own some EWC serums, she gave me a little routine recommendation before I left. It was honestly one of the best EWC experiences I've ever had! My ONLY gripe with EWC (not specific to this location) is that the pricing varies per location. I wish it was just an even price throughout every location.

All they do is waste your time I've been calling and calling to try and get someone to answer for the interview that I was promised and no one answers the front desk lady has an attitude. Clear racism and it's weird.

I reached out to her through Yelp and was not expecting her to reply because it was really late, past 12 am. I asked if she had a late appointment available for that day. Super LAST MINUTE appointment and she responded right away. She said she would get back to me in the morning because she had to check. Of course, it's okay! It was so late, I really didn't think I would hear from her until later. When I woke up I had a message from her already with the times she had available. I booked it!! I got there and you have to wait in your car so you text her once you're in the parking. She replied saying I could come in and omg....her place is so nice, cute and classy. She was very welcoming and sweet. I felt comfortable and had a good conversation with her. She offered me a Perrier and also handed me stress balls. I asked if I needed to get my legs and arms done and said I didn't need to yet. The previous person I would go to would always say yes, but Beata didn't try to upsell or make me get extra services I did not need to. Thank you for being honest! Once she was done she handed me an exfoliation glove and also texted me which product to buy. I asked about my next appointment and she said I could just text her and we could book it. I will be going back because customer service is very important to me. She definitely makes you feel welcome and treats you as if she were your friend. Thank you, Beata! You truly are the best, I'm so glad I found you.
