WELL, it took only one lesson for her to wipe that smile right off of him! She was sarcastic, seemed annoyed by his questions (he's never ridden before), and stood over him picking, picking, picking at every thing he did as he was trying to learn. He felt belittled, scared of her, scared to ask questions, scared to make a mistake! He BEGGED me not to leave the farm during his lesson because he said she treated him differently while I was watching (and taking videos). After the 3rd lesson, I called to get a refund (6 lessons they make you sign up for upfront) and I was told NO REFUNDS. Do your homework!! Don't leave your child alone there!

The staff is knowledgeable and ensure that you are comfortable for your ride. The trail ride is in nature; we actually saw a deer. However it's still on their property and it doesn't allow the horses to go off somewhere else. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and sweet! Great time. Will definitely return!

I wanted a straight-forward, well-kept, non-commercial farm, and you not only get that with Sugar Ridge, but I have also found a family with these ladies and the horses there. The grounds are gorgeous, with plenty of room to ride and options to suit each skillset. It's been amazing to learn more about these gorgeous animals, and it does a world of good just being around them. You can also tell how well-taken care of the horses are just by how affectionate they are with Carin; she does an absolutely incredible job with them and it shows. The staff, along with the other riders, were friendly and personable. Every lesson provided something new and engaging for the horse and rider. Our kids camp is offered by the day vs the week. This allows us to always have plenty of space for your child. We understand life. Last minute changes coming or canceling is completely fine with us. We pride ourselves in providing a fun and relaxed atmosphere where all are welcomed, at every level of riding and discipline. We also offer horseback riding lessons, kids day camp, pony rides, boarding, training and shows. We are also planning to start an after school program at a later date.
