I wasn't able to afford all the changes at once, but she helped me create a plan so that I could create the space I wanted over time. Now that I'm working from home, I get to spend every day in a space that I'm inspired by because Nikki helped me to create it. She challenged me to be bold and see things differently, but was guided by my own goals, desires, and limitations. Every day I look around my home... now, my work space... and smile, as I think about our work together. I scheduled a free consultation and was a little overwhelmed at first at all of the attention to detail she was pursuing with a lot of measurements and photos but I knew I was in good hands. I gave her full control of the entire project due to my lack of knowledge and the immediate trust I gained from her passion and expertise. Despite the smaller budget and short time schedule she still seemed to make me a primary focus and continually kept me up to date with the project. She even helped me personally by choosing just the right photos and location to memorialize my family. The only thing more impressive than it was working with Kate was the end results and I have an everyday reminder of her talent.

This made the process so smooth and less stressful! I love that she thinks outside the box and doesn't deliver a cheesy model home. Her style is fresh and something you would see in LA or SF. While they work on hourly consult rates which is a refreshing option for many of us, on a recent project, my business was clearly not valued. Calls and emails were not returned for days or weeks, plans not sent as promised, all eventually resolved through my repeated follow-ups. The justified reason is that a bigger client was requiring all their time. Customer Service 101. I pay my invoices on time and without question. I will set aside the sales tax issue which required multiple emails to be resolved. The last straw was the requirement to pay for a 4th consult by a sharp deadline or my consult would be canceled. What choice did I have? I will find an interior design firm that will appreciate my business.

I was expecting a number of rounds of back and forth before we got to that point so it showed she really had an understanding of our priorities and style. Since this was our first project, and I'm a very detail oriented person, I had a lot of questions and really wanted to understand everything about the process. She was patient and prompt when answering my questions and going over the details, sometimes repeatedly. I really appreciated that because I know we weren't her biggest client. Review Update (2026)…read more I am updating my original 5-star review from a few years ago. At the time, we were very happy with our kitchen remodel and the overall experience working with Creative Design & Build. The project turned out beautifully, which is why I originally left such a positive review. Over the years, however, I noticed that one section of the flooring felt slightly soft when walking on it. At first, it did not seem serious, so we continued to live with it. Recently, the problem became worse and a section of the floor began to noticeably sink when stepped on and eventually a few edges of the flooring broke. At that point, I became concerned that it could become a safety issue. Because we still had plenty of spare flooring boards left over from the project, I attempted to replace the affected board myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the new board to fit correctly due to the locking system, and I could not restore the original board either. I then contacted Creative Design & Build for assistance. One reason I reached out was because our original project manager, Oded, had told us that if we ever had any issues, we should contact the company. I left a voicemail and later received a return call from a staff member. After I explained the situation, she said she would check with management and get back to me. A few days later, I received a text message stating that the warranty had expired and that no repairs would be covered. This was disappointing because I had never been informed that there was a four-year warranty period, nor was I able to find any reference to such a limitation in our contract. When I asked for details regarding the warranty and whether they could recommend someone to repair the issue, I did not receive any further response. There were two other issues relating to electrical and plumbing, however we decided to live with that until we had a major problem we needed fixing. I still appreciate the work that was done on our remodel years ago, and our kitchen remains a space we enjoy. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-up and support when a problem arose. My advice to future customers is to make sure all warranty terms, coverage details, and expiration dates are clearly documented and understood before signing a contract.

I reached out to her back in November, she came out the next day to to give us a quote on our bathroom remodel. She made the entire process so easy. She ordered EVERYTHING for us, complete gut job, removing drywall and replacing everything in our bathroom. The entire remodel took 2 weeks. Elena was so easy to work with and even though I was nervous (you never know what you will find when you open up walls) she assured me, regardless what we find, we can fix it. It had 3 bedrooms and about five different living Spaces. It was old & beat up but the land was about an acre and a half. We turn this little dump into a jewel of Bonita. Huge open layout , 1500 square feet of deck , indoor outdoor living , a kitchen to die for , bathrooms so cozy you'd want to sleep in . With the guidance, vision and help of Elena our designer this became the house of our dreams. Unfortunately it also became the house of someone else's dreams as soon as we were done ! Soon enough , even though we got an offer we couldn't refuse ! A huge pay day ! This little project home because of Elka interiors became a huge profiting flip of a home which was our steppingstone to bigger and better things to come. Not only did you make this experience and easy and amazing one but you made it a profitable one !!! Thanks for all of you insight and patience !
