I was vociferously encouraged to hire an interior designer because I had friends coming to use the two spare bedrooms for a vacation. My eye for design is what some would politely describe as blind. I found Kate on LinkedIn and I figured she would be perfect for me because she focuses on personal design. I scheduled a free consultation and was a little overwhelmed at first at all of the attention to detail she was pursuing with a lot of measurements and photos but I knew I was in good hands. I gave her full control of the entire project due to my lack of knowledge and the immediate trust I gained from her passion and expertise. Despite the smaller budget and short time schedule she still seemed to make me a primary focus and continually kept me up to date with the project. She even helped me personally by choosing just the right photos and location to memorialize my family. The only thing more impressive than it was working with Kate was the end results and I have an everyday reminder of her talent.

She did a great job picking out different options that wouldn't break the bank but still look expensive and designer. I also hired her to help me pick out stones in my backyard. I have a little guy so shopping and asking questions is often very stressful. She came with me got all the pricing on all the stones we liked and was able to give it to our landscape contractor. This made the process so smooth and less stressful! I love that she thinks outside the box and doesn't deliver a cheesy model home. Her style is fresh and something you would see in LA or SF. She puts her heart and soul into every project. People come in to our house and always ask where we bought things. I love, love her work and would refer her to everyone.

I got the opportunity to work with Kate Griffin on an organization job that I needed for my home. I…read morecontacted her one week & she scheduled our appt. for early the following week. Which was such a breath of fresh air in this very active real estate market. Being a Realtor. I know all companies that are associated with real estate are experiencing lots of volume so that was very quick considering the market. To be honest I was in such need of moving this project forward. What a wonderful blessing we got started right away! I had moved into a new home and with the exception of a desk/chair and a bed. I only brought items that fit in a box. Or went in the closet. I initially contacted Blythe so I can get a design to get some furniture etc. but I had boxes all around the parameter of my home and couldn't get to the design until we went through all the boxes and had everything organized and put away. Over the years we can accumulate so many items that are so precious. IE: just to name one category. I had been saving a variety of keep sake items from over the years that were also in cardboard boxes and felt stuck not knowing what to do with them. I didn't know where to start. When Kate arrived she rolled up her sleeves and got to work. We opened every box and went through absolutely everything. She made what looked so overwhelming a breeze. She was able to help me discern what to keep and what to purge. I had a hard time parting ways with items I hadn't used in I can't even remember the last time I had used them. I even had kept boxes from vacuums and other appliances that she kindly pointed out were taking up space that we could use to organize other items in. Apparently, I needed the permission to get rid of it. Which when I did get rid of them. It felt freeing! We sorted through all sorts of items. Anywhere, from a variety of keep sakes (my daughter trophy's, various photos, bday and holiday cards I had collected over the years), office supplies, to electronics (she helped me discern what to keep - and what to recycle - phew - so nice to know you can recycle electronics), kitchen cabinets, cleaning supplies, cleaning appliances in a closet, to paperwork that needed to be shredded and had piled up over time (which I got done), misc. bathroom items, linen closet to labeling. By the time we were done it was after 6pm and we had lot of empty cardboard boxes to recycle. Even though she had been here for 4 hours on a intense and detailed job.... with a mask on... On a hot day. She wanted to ensure she didn't leave any task for that day not completed. She offered to help me break down and take out every last box (I live on the 3rd floor) which we did. Then we scheduled an appt. for the next day so we could get some containers etc. to efficiently organize the items. Bye bye cardboard boxes. What started off as a 3 hour process. Ended up being a 9 hour job over a span of 3 days. I'm so grateful Kate was available 3 days in a row to keep the flow of the process going. I can go on and on. When you don't know where to start it's sure great to have someone who is a professional organizer help you. Kate is experienced, professional, amazing, friendly, funny, jovial and someone you will feel comfortable having in your home.

I was both impressed with her sense of style and her professionalism. The process started with her visiting our home to get a general sense of our style and to interview us about the project. She asked thoughtful questions and took detailed measurements of our current space. With a short time we had the initial designs and was surprised how close to the mark they were. I was expecting a number of rounds of back and forth before we got to that point so it showed she really had an understanding of our priorities and style. Since this was our first project, and I'm a very detail oriented person, I had a lot of questions and really wanted to understand everything about the process. She was patient and prompt when answering my questions and going over the details, sometimes repeatedly. I really appreciated that because I know we weren't her biggest client. I was also impressed with her taking the initiative and working with our general contractor to make sure we where all on the same page. This lessened my stress level knowing that things were going to plan. I couldn't recommend Maegan and team enough and am excited to start working with them on our new kitchen!

He was always on time, very communicative, and a man of his word. They built our exterior balcony deck and did a great job. The quality of the work came out great and the whole process felt professional. Worth every penny ! We would definitely recommend their services

Review Update (2026)…read more I am updating my original 5-star review from a few years ago. At the time, we were very happy with our kitchen remodel and the overall experience working with Creative Design & Build. The project turned out beautifully, which is why I originally left such a positive review. Over the years, however, I noticed that one section of the flooring felt slightly soft when walking on it. At first, it did not seem serious, so we continued to live with it. Recently, the problem became worse and a section of the floor began to noticeably sink when stepped on and eventually a few edges of the flooring broke. At that point, I became concerned that it could become a safety issue. Because we still had plenty of spare flooring boards left over from the project, I attempted to replace the affected board myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the new board to fit correctly due to the locking system, and I could not restore the original board either. I then contacted Creative Design & Build for assistance. One reason I reached out was because our original project manager, Oded, had told us that if we ever had any issues, we should contact the company. I left a voicemail and later received a return call from a staff member. After I explained the situation, she said she would check with management and get back to me. A few days later, I received a text message stating that the warranty had expired and that no repairs would be covered. This was disappointing because I had never been informed that there was a four-year warranty period, nor was I able to find any reference to such a limitation in our contract. When I asked for details regarding the warranty and whether they could recommend someone to repair the issue, I did not receive any further response. There were two other issues relating to electrical and plumbing, however we decided to live with that until we had a major problem we needed fixing. I still appreciate the work that was done on our remodel years ago, and our kitchen remains a space we enjoy. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-up and support when a problem arose. My advice to future customers is to make sure all warranty terms, coverage details, and expiration dates are clearly documented and understood before signing a contract.

I reached out to her back in November, she came out the next day to to give us a quote on our bathroom remodel. She made the entire process so easy. Elena was so easy to work with and even though I was nervous (you never know what you will find when you open up walls) she assured me, regardless what we find, we can fix it. The workers were great, they worked a full day and we could see the quality and value of their work. I am extremely grateful and so happy with our new bathroom. It had 3 bedrooms and about five different living Spaces. It was old & beat up but the land was about an acre and a half. We turn this little dump into a jewel of Bonita. Huge open layout , 1500 square feet of deck , indoor outdoor living , a kitchen to die for , bathrooms so cozy you'd want to sleep in . With the guidance, vision and help of Elena our designer this became the house of our dreams. Unfortunately it also became the house of someone else's dreams as soon as we were done ! Soon enough , even though we got an offer we couldn't refuse ! A huge pay day ! This little project home because of Elka interiors became a huge profiting flip of a home which was our steppingstone to bigger and better things to come. Not only did you make this experience and easy and amazing one but you made it a profitable one !!! Thanks for all of you insight and patience !
