Under new ownership and by far a horrible experience. The old owner Mark was a joy to work with and i loved my floors. He was very responsive and was go to person for flooring. The new ownership is lazy and does not care. I had a floor repair issue and all i wanted was for someone to fix. I even had two extra boxes left over. Possible more work for the upstairs. After getting a quote for installation from Lumber Liquidators, I decided to get other bids to see if I could save some money. I turned to Yelp and found Archwood which had good reviews and was nearby. I stopped by and found a good variety of flooring options. Rebecca, the owner, sent me home with two flooring samples and a same day appointment for an estimator from Francisco, her co-owner husband. Both very friendly and professional. Two days later I received the estimate and found I would save several hundred dollars if I were to go with Archwood. I got another similar estimate but decided to go with Archwood. From beginning to end, I found Archwood to very easy to work and very hard working. This job took three days and included installing laminate in 2 bedrooms, a hallway and porcelain tile in a bathroom. The result looks outstanding. Absolutely the BEST home updating experience that we have had since buying this home two years ago. We used their limited time offer of 300 linear square feet of baseboard installation for $1000. We wound up upgrading to a taller baseboard of 4" and it only cost us $150 extra total. For $1,150 we got every inch of that 300 linear feet of upgraded baseboard installed, painted and the old baseboard removed and disposed of. The crew, led by Luis, were fantastic, efficient, courteous and punctual. The final outcome is gorgeous and makes our older home look almost brand new. After researching a few companies, including Lumber Liquidators and Cole's, we decided to go with Archwood, both because the pricing was reasonable (Cole's was almost double!) and they had the closest match to the wood flooring we already had in the house. We needed to put in wood flooring in the living/dining area, the stairs, a short hallway, and the master bedroom, and replace all the molding on those areas plus the kitchen and family room. This was about 1000 sf job. Short story, it looks fantastic! Not only does the floor itself look great, but they did a wonderful job on the installation of both the floor and the molding. The molding was particularly challenging because there are lots of little nooks and corners, which meant a lot of precise cuts on little pieces of molding. It all looks flawless. Plus they put in transitions where the wood floor butts up to the travertine tile and the other flooring. We are extremely pleased with the service, price and quality of workmanship. Rebecca was very nice to work with and we were happy to work with a small locally owned business. (Disclaimer-I also own a small local business, so I can relate...) Highly recommended! read more

These guys/gals are great! I couldn't believe the prices I saw on craigslist were from a store ($.95/ft for 6" crown molding!). I got there just about closing time, but the front girl was sweet and friendly and helpful. One of the guys helped me load up and tie down the load, for which i had to get creative since my truck was in the shop and I had the wife's 4runner. What a great experience! Francisco came out almost immediately and provided a clear written estimate for our 6" crown moulding and other work. He was professional, prompt and courteous. The crew who came out to do the work arrived promptly and were friendly, and very hard working. All care measures were observed: covers were put on the bottom of ladders to make sure wood floors were not scratched, protective plastic sheets were used to cover furniture and household items, and floors were swept and areas cleaned up before they left each day. This review is well over due! I was originally going to have Archwood complete all my window cassings and had scheduled to have it done over President's weekend. I had this booked at least one month ahead of time. Three days before they were suppose to come out, I get a call from Denise who left a message on my cell asking me if I was still interested in getting the job done????? I called to find out what was going on and Denise did not seem to know what was going on and she suggested I email Becky. I emailed Becky and she stated that Denise was only calling to confirm the job? Umm... no, I have a message on my cell where she is asking me if I am still interested in the job getting done. I was a bit annoyed because I had made plans to have a friend be at my house while the job was getting done. (Becky also seemed surprised to learn that I wanted someone present while the job was getting done) Ummm, yeah!! I don't know any of you, why would I let someone be inside my house alone if i don't know them? Duh! Anyways, I understand that mistakes happen, so I admit it, apologize and move on. This is obviously not what happened. I believe this is a family business: wife & husband or sister & brother team. I emailed Mr. Cedillo to let him know how poorly Becky had handled this situation. If Becky normally handles mistakes this way, Archwood is definitely losing business! Their quote was $1750.00 for all the window cassings. I ended up going to A-1 Supplies to get my material: which cost me $145.00! I had my dad install the window cassings and although my dad is an experienced carpenter, I don't think it is a very difficult job to do. 9-15-2014 I shopped around and did my research to find a company to do crown moulding and baseboard for my second story. After interviewing another company, I chose Archwood. First, they have a storefront in Chula Vista. The owner, Francisco, has had the store for nine years and has been involved in construction for quite some time. He was pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable. He had pictures of other jobs on his IPad. You get to see his work. His crew has been with him a while and he personally comes out to check on the job to make sure all is going according to the plan. I think follow up is very important. He answered all of my questions in a timely manner. The schedule was agreed upon and all went according to plan. In fact the job finished one day ahead of schedule. He had some solid design suggestions and new the look that I was going for. The other companies were basically in the same price range give or take a hundred dollars. He answered all of my questions in a thoughtful manner and takes what he does very seriously. His crew was three men. Luis was the main contact in the crew. All were very professional and courteous. In fact, they did a quick repair to screw down some siding that the previous work crew had pulled out of the sliding glass door that was creating a hazard. The touch up work with the paint was also completed very well. I paid extra for this and it was well worth. This is detailed work and the crew made sure that the details were flawless. We had just bought our new home but it needed some updates. We looked around and had several companies come in to give us quotes. Costco was the most expensive and the person they sent in was not knowledgeable. Francisco from Archwood came in on time and with alot of knowledge. He gave us many great ideas and gave us the best quote. The installed laminate flooring throughout the house and tiles in the restrooms and washing area. Crown molding in the ceilings and painted all of the interieror of the house. The service was great and the istallation looks awsome. I learned about Archwood in an advertising flyer that came to the house about 5 years ago. I called for an estimate. Mr. Cedillo arrived on time and gave us an estimate I was happy with. His crew showed up on time on the day we agreed to. Luis, their head crew man was very professional. The rest of the crew was very professional as well. We had 8 inch crown put in on vaulted ceilings and 4 inch baseboards in the living and dining area. This was about 5 years ago. We were very pleased with the work that was done; so much so, that I recently used them to install crown molding and base boards in a vacation home that we recently purchased. Once again Mr. Cedillo met with me within 2 days of my contacting him. He came out and gave me a reasonable estimate. They were able to work with my time line as I was having the place painted and new carpeting installed as well. The crew arrived on the day we agreed to and surprisingly 2 of the same crew who had worked on my home 5 years ago, came to this job. They remembered me and were very cordial and professional once again. The job was completed in 2 days as indicated on the contract. We were met with some challenges due to the construction of the home but they managed a work around and got the job done beautifully. The place looks 100% updated. The crown molding and the baseboards wrapped up the remodel and we couldn't be happier with the work that they did. They cleaned up after their job and once again we were very satisfied with the work. We loved archwood. We checked home depot, lowes, liquid lumineters, american finest carpet and, Demar wholesale. We considered price, quality and of course timelines. We were replacing our whole house-wood floors, carpet in 5 bedrooms and tile install in kitchen and bathroom. We also added wood up the stairs. Our house is 3200 sq. so it was a big job. because we have three small children we decided to move in with family. But one of the family members we lived with was very sick and undergoing treatment so it was very important to us the buisness we picked were efficent and quick so we didn't impose our stay. We explained our situation to fransico and he was very honest with a timeline and he stuck to it! Even the first day of demo we discovered we had tile under our old laminate flooring. So even with the longer demo time archwood stayed in his timeline. Cost was more then fair. We found wood at another store and crossed checked with archwood. Sure enough archwood was able to beat there price. Plus archwood could over see the install of carpet and tile. I visited my house everyday and the crew was very polite and respectful of our things. And also clean and organized. And the quality of work is gorgoues. we also got new baseboards througout house. We would highly recomend archoowd. And we never ever leave reviews. Don't have time but i feel if someone is shopping for floors as I needed to let them know where they can get great hoenst service and good quality work. Very poor customer service! I went there to check out the door knob that they advertise on craigslist the add says have some door handles levers from left over jobs. When I got there I asked the lady at the store about the merchandise she showed it to me and ask her the price. I was going to buy about 6 so I tried to asked for a discount. The lady reacted and got upset so I just bought 2 and she told me that I theres no return. The store has no signs saying that there is no exchange or no return. I think the Lady is racist and the bad thing is shes also the owner. She needs to learn how to provide a quality customer service because we are the life of their business. read more

Francisco (the owner) showed up on time, and we looked at some options and ideas on his iPad. The price was reasonable. On the day of installation a crew of 5 workers showed up right on time. They were very professional, friendly, and fast workers. The job was estimated to take 3 days but it actually took one. We bought a fixer upper home that needed major remodeling and cost and quality was of foremost importance to us (quality more than price). Archwood floors has amazing prices and a huge selection to fit every budget. We selected a floor that arrived in three days and was being installed the very next day. The attention to detail by the staff at Archwood was above and beyond my expectations. While we wanted baseboards they were not in our budget (so we thought) until we received a quote. The end result is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! The workers worked diligently and cleaned up at the end of each work day. The cuts around the corners are beveled and look so beautiful. At first I thought a 4 inch baseboard was too big for our home but at Francisco's suggestion we went with it and we love it!!!!
