I used this company a few times. However the last experience was horrible. I hired them to do a full turn over for a rental property. They gave a quote and we issued the order and payment. First they did not finish within the agreed time period. Second they did not complete all work as quoted. They quoted door replacement, but they did not replace they glued the door back together. They quoted to fix the back screen this was not done. When I communicated to them thr they did not finish and I expected them to come back and finish to my satisfaction or issue a partial refund for the items they did not finish or did not do as quoted they DISAPPEARED. They would not answer calls. They did not answer the text regarding the issues. Ghosted. I don't suggest this company for any service. This was the most unprofessional experience. DO NOT USE SERENITY APPLIANCE REPAIR. He is a crook. I called him out for an estimate on my Samsung washer machine. ERIC came out to my home gave me an estimate and told me to order the part. Once the part came in he gave me an appointment to return to install. I haven't seen him since after multiple attempts to have him come back to install the part. This company is looking for a quick buck. They will come out take your deposit $119.50 and make a bunch of broken promises. Do not use him unless you want to throw money away. It was simple enough to arrange a 9-1 next day service call for repairing a broken lid switch in washing machine. No one showed during this time, but eventually got through on the phone at 1:30. Somehow was noted down as 1-5pm despite having been very clear that 9-1 was preferred, and was told repairman would be with me in 30 minutes. Repairman eventually arrived at 3pm. Repairman did make a temporary operational fix by removing the lid switch mechanism entirely, but provided written note and took payment with the supposed intention that the replacement part would be ordered and installed in due course. Months have passed and have not seen any effort to return calls or respond to multiple voicemails about when new part might be provided or installed. To top it off, the screwdriver I already had out by washer for removing the lid switch disappeared after the call. Giving 1 star for the bit-part job and assuming the screwdriver was accidental. Giant waste of money and will not make the mistake of using or paying them again. read more

This company is absolutely awful, Eric is a flat out liar and lazy. He came up with excuse after excuse as to reasons why he could not do a follow up appointment to repair my dishwasher. Unfortunately I was the consumer who paid him upfront, no wonder he did not want to perform services rendered, his lazy ass already made his money. I believe this company contracts out through American home shield and all they care about is reimbursement from home warranty jobs. I would highly NOT recommend utilizing this company and if I could give them a -100 star rating I would. Pure lack of effort. I had an appointment scheduled no one showed up, no one called, no one answered my calls. Thirty min after my 4 hour time window someone answered my call but then said that he could not tell me when the reschedule would be until the morning. The next morning I did not get a call nor did anyone answer my calls. When I scheduled the appointment the admin assistance I spoke to said she would have the technician call my fiance when they were enroute to give him time to get to the condo to fix our appliance. I receive a call and the technician states they are at my door. I explain he was supposed to call my fiance to give him time to get there. The technician stated how it did not matter because he lived nearby. I explained how my fiance will need time to get there (about 15 minutes) and the technician stated that is too long of a wait and he will not wait. He said he would call me back. He did not. We tried calling him - his inbox is full and he ignores phone calls. We called their business line and they never answered either. My 95 year old mother has a combination washer-dryer in her condominium. Last month, the dryer stopped working so she called Red 1 Appliance Repair. The repairman fixed the dryer, received his check, and immediately cashed it at the bank on a Friday evening. Afterwards, when my mother tried to run the washer, it got stuck in a rinse cycle and would not spin the clothes dry. Standing water remained in the washer and could only be removed manually. In order to be able to repair the dryer, the repairman had to remove seven wires from the washer timer. He neglected to reattach the wires back to their terminals. As a result, the washer could not transition through its cycles. So although he had repaired the dryer, he had broken the washer, the exact opposite of the situation my mother found herself in before he first came. When my mother discovered that the washer wasn't working, she called Red 1 Appliance Repair repeatedly. No one from this so-called company answered the phone. Finally, her home health aide called the company on her cell phone. Not recognizing the phone number, the owner picked up immediately, hoping it might result in new business. When the home health aide said that she was calling on behalf of my mother, the owner noted, in a mocking sort of way, that my mother had already called 'several dozen' times already. When the aide asked why he didn't answer her calls, he had no response. He said he would contact her the following day to schedule a follow-up service call. As you might guess, no follow-up call was ever forthcoming. My mother had to call another company to repair the washer. The repairman entered the following on the invoice, "Checked unit found seven wires removed from washer timer. This is the reason washer was not spinning clothes dry. With the wire diagrams, located and reattached the seven wires back on to their terminals. Tested, unit is working". Because the wires and their terminals were not color coded, it took several hours of trial and error effort to reattach the wires correctly, for an additional charge of $231.95 by the second company. The Red 1 Appliance repairman was well aware when he left, that the wires were not properly reattached to their terminals and that her washer would not work. This didn't prevent him from hurrying off to cash her check before close of business Friday evening banking hours. He had absolutely no intention to return to repair the washer he had disabled. In the meantime, several of my mother's home health aides very kindly took some of her clothes home to wash in their own washing machines before the washer was finally repaired. Potential appliance repair customers should avoid Red 1 Appliance Repair like the plague unless they enjoy getting ripped off by a greedy company that takes no pride in its work and does not follow through a job to completion. read more

They didn't contact me until they were 5 minutes away from arriving, not even bothering to collect information about what symptoms my fridge was exhibiting. I was supposed to get a call within 2-24 hours for oven repair. 96 hours later, they had to be called repeatedly. Final straw was tech finally came to install the part and got angry with me because I took exception to his 1) charging his cell phone at my home without asking first 2) using said phone to conduct business with another customer who hadn't gotten a timely call back for her broken refrigerator 3) all the while they schedule appointments within a 1pm - 5pm window! AWFUL COMPANY! They were sent to me via American Home Shield and are awful. Came the first time and told me there was nothing wrong with my freezer and that the coils only needed cleaning. They cleaned the coils alright and left me all the dirt and disgustingness on my carpet and didn't even push the fridge/freezer back against the wall. I have a tenant and their refrigerator went out. I called AHS who referred Red One to fix the refrigerator. It's been six weeks and the refrigerator is still down. My tenant has lost all her food and still doesn't have a way to keep food. American Home Shield is saying as long as they are trying parts there is nothing they can do. As a result I will replace AHS also because they are worthless and won't replace any appliance as long as they can stick a part on it. They and Red One could care less as to how you are put out. A repairman came to my house for a Warrenty repair on a washer dryer combo. He opened the door wrote down the model number asked a few questions. He said he would order the part and call me when it came in to set up a return appointment. Two days later a get a call from the company I bought the combo from stating that the repairman had told them that my washer was filthy, had feathers in it and I never cleaned my filter. They wanted to void my warrenty over this repairman lying. He never even looked at the filter which my husband cleans werkly. I have no idea where he saw feathers since I have nothing with feathers because of alergies. I tried to call the company to complain about the repair man and no one answers. Just wanted to echo what some other people said. They seem very disorganized. Nobody picks up the phone at their office

On the the final service call made to my home for my washer the technician showed up at my home without a courtesy call...again. I specifically asked for a call because I should not have to keep taking days off for this, so that I could leave work and come home. Subsequently he had to leave, go to another work assignment & then return to my home. I had to go home, leave my door unlocked and go back to work, because I couldn't wait. When he left the other job, he called ( I was already back at work) and I let him know that my door was unlocked and for him to go ahead and get started. When I got home about 3 hours later my washer was in more pieces than it had already been. I didn't get an update call from the tech after he left (since I wasn't at home) nor did the main office give me a call. I had to call the office the following day to get a status update. I was then informed that my washer was deemed in fixable and that it had been reported to the AHS warranty company. I was directed to call the warranty company for further information. As of 01.21.16 I am still waiting for the new washer to be delivered and installed. RIDICULOUSNESS! read more
