My Dyson V8 was not working. The problem was a non functioning battery as well as clogged filters. The battery and filters were replaced and the machine works like it was new. Be careful about this service center. I brought my Dyson hairdryer in for repair. I was told I would get an update about this the next day. No one called me for an update and no one picked up the phone call or returned my phone call in this service center. I logged into my Dyson account and call the central Dyson line and they said THERE IS NO REPAIR TICKET CREATED for my repair. So now my hairdryer just went missing. I am extremely disappointed and angry with the service this service center provided. So where is my hairdryer and what's going on with the hairdryer???? read more

The man who fixed my vacuum cleaner was outstanding. He identified the problem and found other parts that needed to be replaced. He asked if I'd like to wait. Since it took an hour to drive to the service center, that worked great. . When other customers needed service, he politely asked them to wait. He finished my repair without interruption. Informed it would take up to two billing cycles for the return to process. That was February 6th. Called multiple times, and each time was told it was being processed immediately, still have not received our refund! called again 10 days ago, was assured it would be processed in 1-2 days. The laser detects brush roller of Dyson Vacuum V15 was stopped spinning. I looked into their website to see if there are any solutions or troubleshooting but wasn't lucky. Fortunately, I've found a Dyson service center in my local area which is on N. Rolling Road just about a few miles away from my place. I took it there and explained what happened. He checked my 2-year warranty and gave me a new one because something happened with my laser detect brush roller. I'm just happy and lucky to have this store in my local. Thank You. read more

Took our Dyson vacuum cleaner in for service. It had a burning smell and the extension hose needed to be replaced. The lady checked me in and asked if I could wait - "it may only be 10 minutes." Sure enough, not 10 minutes go by and she brings out the vacuum. "Hair had gotten caught under the roller and melted the (whatchamacallit). I put on a new front piece. The top wasn't sealing, so new top seal, and new hose. This unit is out of warranty.... but it's never been serviced.... So I cleared all the charges. Have a nice day!" So, yeah... I contacted Dyson and placed a repair order and received a reference number. The closest service center in my area is Baltimore. I have been calling the Baltimore Service Center for more than a week. All I get is an answering machine. I called the main Dyson number again and explained my situation and frustration. What's the point of a repair reference number if you're unable to reach the store. The representative told me the repair centers hours. I knew the hours before calling them again. If no one answers the phone, why should I trust the hours? I'm not doing a 90 minute drive to a store that may or may not be open. The representative said the number on file is their only contact information as well. They are unable to reach them either. This is just sad. Why would they do business with a company they can't reach! That doesn't reflect well on Dyson. My vacuum is still under warranty for three years. What's the point if I can't take it for repairs? This sucks! I may have to end up purchasing another machine. Why should I if the issue is one that can be fixed? You were looking good Dyson, until this. read more

Update 2/7/23: Note that Dyson responds to most negative posts stating they are "sorry" to hear about our negative experiences and would "like to make it right". Clearly this is so that people reading the review will think Dyson was willing to fix the issue. I reached out via email as requested by Dyson in their response below and a few days later they simply stated they could not do anything. So if you are considering buying their extremely expensive hair dryer, remember this (as stated directly by Dyson) "The cost to repair or replace the motor is greater than the cost of a replacement machine" and the warranty is only 2 years. Our motor burned out just over 2 years and with low usage (twice a week on average, not everyday) Other hair dryers have lasted 10+ years and cost a fraction of what this costs. Original: After 2 years my wife's $500+ Dyson hairdryer stopped working. The whole process of trying to contact Dyson for support was horrible. After several attempts over several months I managed to book an appt at this service center via chat. It was a 45 min drive one way and when I got there the guy took the hairdryer and said it would be ready in 25 mins. I waited 25 mins, and he came out and said he couldn't repair it. He had nothing else to offer. No replacement, no acknowledgement that a $500 hair dryer should Never stop working in 2 years. That was it. Really Dyson? Never again - I get better support for the cheap Shark vacuums. read more

I was having problems with my Dyson picking up dirt and stuff from the carpet. When I went through the normal troubleshooting, everything looked good. So I took the vacuum up to the Dyson Service Center. Getting there is fairly easy, and parking is convenient. There was a small line when I got there, but the reason that I'm not giving DSC 5 stars is that there was no customer service rep in the front to let people know the techs (who double as CSRs) were busy in the back. Once I saw the flow, it was easy to figure out, and the reps were able to get through the line (4 people, all with various problems/questions) quickly. The rep listened to my situation, and saw what was going on. He took the vacuum to the back, and a couple minutes later he called me to the back to explain what the issue was. Turns out last time I cleaned it, the face plate and brush weren't properly replaced, so the brush wasn't agitating the carpet. He put the items on correctly, and gave me a demo that worked much better than when I brought the unit in. And there was no charge. Even though the DSC is about 40 minutes from my house, it is well worth the trip to get Dyson certified techs to look at the vacuum. read more

I have waited for over a month and the text system is not good. Still not done today week 5 and now I just will get it and take it somewhere else. Not honest either. Wanted me to get new filets when I asked if they were disposable D said no I thought you wanted new ones! No I wanted what it needed. Still not fixed today. I needed a new battery. He said he texted me in the 9th. It was the 8th. I was in a week and a half ago and he said maybe next week. I guess he didn't like me. Lucky to be somewhat local & drive from an hour to the Baltimore Dyson Service Center. Did the usual pre-internet search of forums & message boards. Thought I has a crappy stick vac trigger that stuck. Turns out it user error on my part for not properly letting filter dry after washing it. Moisture was seeping from the filter into the trigger compartment. Told a let it dry for at least a days. Even better that my Dyson Animal vac was still under warranty & they upgraded the battery. Customer service was A+++ from the moment I called to see if they could squeeze me in. I handed a young lady my Dyson Animal vac & ate lunch in my car. Probably 10-15 min later I receive a call that it's done. Saw several other people waiting in their cars as well. We pay a lot for our Dysons, definitely take care of your investment if you're somewhat local. read more

Big shout out to Kris at the Dyson Service Center in Milford Mill, MD. She was extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, gave suggestions, I was very happy with my experience. This place is awesome. Very friendly, very fast, in and out. I was worried I would not have the vacuum for 7-10 days and it was a 37 min drive, but they took me right in, I waited probably 25 mins while it was being fixed and BOOM...perfect, fixed, like new. I'm the owner of two Dyson products (V6 Fluffy & Cinetic Big Ball Animal + Allergy). The problem I was having was the brush bar was not spinning on the Cinetc Big Ball. Turns out it was a loose/bad wire which they replaced in the Service Center and it's all good. I've watched several hours of YouTube fix it yourself videos, wish I had started at the Service Center. Anyway...if your within an hour of one of these Service Centers my suggestion is to call them directly. They know their product, can answer any questions, bring your product in. Walk in's take priority over product that is shipped in. Your Dyson products should be fixed that day. Hope this helps. read more

I bought my Dyson Allergy/Animal vacuum cleaner close to five years ago. It has always worked perfectly, but I take it in once a year anyway. Just for a check-up so it will continue to be the best vacuum cleaner I've ever had. The service technicians are amazingly nice, even offered to pick up and return my vacuum to my home. Curbside service during Covid was truly great and easy on a Saturday morning. I had already spoken with Dyson over the phone about my warranty and they said I could ship it for repair or take it to this service center. I needed a broken part replaced related to the roller/ball/wheel and the service person came out to get it, asked if I could wait a few minutes and he was back within 10 minutes with the repair complete! I waited maybe 20-30 minutes total as there was one person in front of me. There were a few people waiting and getting serviced as I left. Very pleasant, professional and I'm so pleased the warranty worked. read more

The technician greeted me as soon as he was finished with the current client in the showroom. When he picked up my vacuum, he pointed out right away what the issue was and within 15 minutes he has taken the machine to the back, and cleaned out the blockage. It seems that when vacuuming the area near my wood pile, a few large splinters got sucked up and were not able to make the journey around the piping. Lesson learned, and learned with kindness and information on other products which Dyson offers such as hair dryer and pet grooming tool. read more

The young lady who repaired my machine was quick, professional, helpful and returned my machine in less than 30 minutes. Brought in my new cordless because it wouldn't charge. Once I finally got to speak with someone, they agreed the battery pin was misaligned and replaced the battery in just a few minutes. Serviceman was professional and courteous. Thought it was a little strange when I walked into the reception or waiting room with no one in it. Other customers came in and none of us knew what to do. After waiting a few minutes I ventured into the back hallway to the "employees only" room, and was told they would be right there. After five minutes, the serviceman came out and solved my problem in minutes as stated above. So unimpressive first impression, but all worked out well. read more

They really managed to changed my view. The tech was super nice and informative. My husband and I have been on a quest for a great vacuum cleaner since the onset of our marriage in 1995. We quickly purchased a Kirby. We paid a fortune for it and were not in the last bit happy with it. We soon followed it with a Rainbow, and paid more for that, and were even more dissatisfied. Then in 2008, we saw the Dyson, it was just coming out and we were doubtful... The Dyson ended our search and we were floored by its performance!! Fast forward to 3 Dyson's later, 3 German Shepherd dogs, and God only knows how many moves later, and they aren't working properly. I am about to throw them out and purchase a new one. I chanced a call a local service center. Nothing could prepare me for this experience! I haven't seen service like this is years!! Not only did they completely repair my Animal upright (still under warranty and they replaced many parts-all free under the warrenty!!) Then, they also repaired my cordless D6, and replaced a part for free (NOT under warrenty) in under 10 min, and when my dinosaur from 2008's repairs climbed to over $269, they offered me a trade in discount of 20%, plus an owner discount, and honored the internet offer gift of free attachments with the purchase, on a Brand New Dyson! WOW! I still can't believe that in this day and age a company backs it's product like that. I was already going to stay with Dyson for the rest of my life, but now I will purchase them for my children and grandchildren! Thank you Dyson! Especially Kelsey! So sweet and easy to work with! Dee answered the phone and took the time to help me troubleshoot and offer a cost effective solution. The folks from Dyson HQ told me it would be over $200 to fix my machine, and Dee gave me a $25 solution. This experience truly saved me as a Dyson customer. My refurbished Dyson needed to be repaired. The gentleman took it apart in a few minutes and diagnosed it (I had done a lot of online troubleshooting and had a general idea the repair would cost a bit more than I wanted to pay for an older vacuum). The store had a newer model of my broken vacuum on sale for only $100 more than my repair and came with the Dyson 5-year warranty, so I bought that instead. The customer service was great, as the gentleman was patient and willing to talk through things with me (repair vs. buy new). I'd highly recommend this shop for both repairs and purchases of new Dyson products (they really have some great sales!). read more

I originally tried to get my Dyson vacuum repaired by a local vacuum repair shop close to my home in NJ. The owner tried to sell me a new vacuum instead. While in MD for work, I decided to try the Dyson Service Center in Milford Mills. It was over an hour from my temporary lodging, but it was definitely worth the trip. I got to the Service Center around 3 pm and explained my problem to Dee. He said to hang out for about 15 minutes and that he would have it fixed. No one does this any more! He was true to his word. Within 15 minutes, he was back outside with my virtually new Dyson machine. I figured this Dyson vacuum was a goner, but Dee is a miracle worker. Props to you Dyson on not sucking on customer service. See what I did there? Quick and very efficient service. I take my Dyson in to get a health check every now and then to make sure all is well with the vacuum that has the most powerful suction of all vacuums. Yeah that is kind of drilled in your head when looking at their products. The best part of the visit here is that despite there being a program where you can turn in your old Dyson and get a discount for a new one there is no sales pressure. I witnessed two other customers come in for minor things (maintenance like myself and a broken switch) and not once did I hear the employees try to upsale and get them to look at other products. This is a big plus for me as there is nothing more annoying than going into a place of business for one thing and then an attempt is guided to turn you another way as the words of the customer falls into a void of a bad customer service. read more
