The guy doing my nails was extremely rude and seemed irritated anytime I asked questions about what he was doing. I originally asked for a full set of builder gel, but he kept insisting on doing a fill instead -- which was totally fine, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't charged for a full set. When I asked about it, he immediately got annoyed. I also asked to look at builder gel colors, and he told me no because he was "doing a fill," then pushed me into choosing a cat eye color that I never wanted in the first place. When I said I only wanted a simple French tip, he got visibly frustrated, raised his voice, and said, "Well what do you want then?" while acting like I was complaining the entire time. I was being completely polite the whole appointment. I've honestly never complained about my nails before, but if I'm paying for a service, I should be allowed to ask questions and speak up about what I want. To make things worse, he added color over the builder gel that I never asked for, and the French tips were sloppy and uneven. After he finished, he just walked away without saying anything. I paid and spoke to the lady at the front desk about my concerns, and she basically told me I should've said something earlier and that my nails "didn't look bad." They absolutely did -- even my boyfriend noticed, and guys hardly ever notice nails. She eventually had another lady fix them, and I do appreciate her for trying because they definitely looked better than what the guy originally left me with. The pictures don't fully show it, but I can still feel all the bumps and unevenness on the nails. The most upsetting part is that one of my natural nails is now cracked, and I had spent forever growing them out. The salon was completely empty, so there was really no reason for the attitude or rushing. Overall, I won't be returning.

Ty made us feel welcome from the time we arrived (I took my husband to hang out). They did my pedicure first while they soaked off my nails. I got a complimentary mimosa and they even offered my husband one. She let me choose my service without pushing additional on me, but she did take the time to tell me about upgrades available if I want to the next time. While I was getting my own nails done, there was a mom there with 3 kids. One of the babies got fussy and another employee picked her up and carried her around, to calm her so the mom could enjoy her visit as well. All around, the service was great! They have plenty of help so the wait isn't long at all. The price is comparable to other mail salons in the area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Even though she didnt speak well in english she tried her best to engage with me on my nails. However, by the end of the first week I started noticing that my nails were starting to discolor meaning they were deteriorating. I do realize that it might have been caused by user error.... I do use sanitizer so maybe that is why. Because of this I didnt return to salon to ask for them to redo my manicure. I got my nails redone somewhere else today and when the guy was removing my manicure (which was the gel/shellac) he asked where I had them done and I told him and he said that the person applied it super thick.... After hearing that I shared that the person who did my nails did sound new and still learning. I understand everyne needs time to learn any job, but no one was checking in on her.... to guide her..... why not? They were busy and I get that but at my job (which is different granted) I dont leave the new employee untill they feel comfortable, but I give them space to learn and make mistakes sure and I correct them, ideally in the moment. Its just if they were that busy to where they couldnt check in on her..... ask the next customer (me) to wait...... I know that interferes with their money flow but I would have rather of waited then have a manicure that costed $40 I believe it was and then I tipped her $10 cause it did look nice in that moment.... and within 2 days might I add one nail chipped but I felt like it was my fault so I didnt go back.... plus whenever you do go back ask for someone to fix 1 nail I swear they roll their eyes at you. Sorry for the vent but I hope this salon owners take this into consideration.... A lot of salons are like that, they hate to fix a bad nail. This has always been a nice salon. Always seen good reviews and had a great experience here years ago so very let down by this one.

My husband and I stood at the entrance for at least 10 minutes after checking in, before anybody came from the back of the salon. She said it wouldn't be a problem to do my nails. Good thing because nobody else was there. She did a full set of ombré acrylics super fast. I was actually pretty impressed, aside from one of the nails was crooked when I looked closer at them. When she was finishing, she asked if I wanted a manicure too, to trim back my cuticles and "stuff". Doesn't a full set come with that?? Anyway, when she finished, she talked me into a pedicure. I got the middle package, whatever it's called. It was completed pretty quick, which I thought was weird. Halfway through, my massage chair quit working. When I went to pay, the lady had overcharged me from what their sign had advertised. At this point, I was a little irritated so I just paid. I actually gave her a pretty good tip too. The next morning, I was missing the paint on 2 of my toe nails. I got them done on a Sunday. By Wednesday, I was missing the paint on 4 nails total. The big toe on my right foot was chipped as well. I've had pedicures last for at least a month before. This was terrible quality.

Once inside, everything was handled very professionally and promptly despite the pressure she was under. The male nail tech who did my manicure was amazing! He messed up on part of the gel application and fixed it without me even commenting on it (I probably wouldn't have even noticed) I got a basic gel manicure and regular polish pedicure and the total was $50. Great prices and they stay busy because they are the best service in Portland!

They were very willing to spend time doing it to my specifications. It wasn't the stylists usual technique so all considered I'd go back and I would recommend them. Sadly, it was worse than I get even in the cheapest salons in Chinatown, Houston, Tx. Bought two facials on groupon and also purchased two brow waxes while there for my friend and me. We waited in the waiting area for ten minutes before anyone who worked in the spa came to see customers. While waiting two groups came to buy stuff from the boutique but both left because there was no one to service them upfront. The woman who was suppose to do our facials apparently left 10 minutes before our appointment to go eat and was 15 or twenty minutes late. Then, my facial appointment, which typically takes 45 to 60 minutes was rushed to be about 30 maybe with no extractions at all. She pretty much just layered chemicals on top of my face and on top of each other over and over. Bogus. Brows:I told her I keep my brows thicker but right now they were just too thick but to not make them small... My eyebrows are way too thin for my liking and I will have to pencil them in for a while. My friend had a similarly short and near useless facial AND her eyebrows are also way too small and even smaller than mine. Not a happy camper and will not use this place again if I have the option.
