I was cautious at first since I've gone to a korean hair salon and paid $75 for a haircut only to look like a christmas tree in the middle of July (needless to say it was in a bun all year long until it grew out) There was only one guy to take care of me and my two friends. We each wanted something different done. I wanted a haircut, one friend wanted a perm and another wanted her hair dyed. I was the last to be done but it didn't wear this hairstylist a bit. He took time to cut each of my layers and checked over and over to see the "flow" of my natural waves. He cut more of my bangs then before and ive received so much more compliments than before. All i did was get a haircut but i felt like a new person! He was great! I wish i couldve asked for his name. He wears glasses and has a mustache? He is the person to go to!

You are dealing with many personalities. A really good receptionist knows how to make a customer always want to come back. Here is my experience tonight. I am horrified. I called yesterday. I gave the salon more than 24 hours notice just as I was told to do. I spoke to a lovely receptionist. I explained to her that heavy storms were coming in with many warnings. I did not want to drive in this weather. They were predicting tornados, hail and heavy winds. She was absolutely lovely to talk to and understood. I also explained to her that I did not want to get a fee for rescheduling. She said she understood and would take care of it. She also told me to call in the morning and let them know once I saw what the weather was like. I followed her advice and immediately called in the morning. I rescheduled my appointment. No problem, At 6:30 tonight Gail called (the other receptionist.) as obnoxious as can be and told me I did not follow the rules. She was going to place a fee on me. I believe it was $25. She kept saying we talked about this and would not stop. I honestly thought she was a broken record. I followed the rules. I did nothing wrong. I will tell you the right does not know what the left is doing. There is no communication between receptionists. This was a power trip and under no circumstances she was going to win. She was determined. That was obvious. Salons are customer service oriented. You have to be this way if you are going to keep your customers. They want the customers to be relaxed by their services. I don't know if Gail got off the wrong side of the bed or if something was going on in her life. She sure took it out on me. I am not going to tolerate this behavior. Nobody should. I wonder if the owners know how she is treating the customers. She cancelled my appointment because she said I did not follow the rules. At this point, I hung up on her. Nobody should ever be treated this way under any circumstances. It was horrifying to say the least. If you want to be abused by a receptionist then I would recommend going here. I am just flabbergasted by the way I was treated. I am in the salon every month. I am not a walk in. I am also surprised that neither of the owners reached out to me. This says it all!

At the time of writing, a kid's cut, including a wash, costs $3 more than Kidsnips, and while they may not have the flashy TVs or toys that other child-focused haircut locations offer, Mr. Sean is extremely patient and quick with our son, which is a huge plus, and he is also very detail-oriented- we love our son's hair at the end. For adults, Sean does a great cut too, and is always very detailed with his styling. Logistics: - There is a seating/waiting area that my son sits and can read books at while I get my haircut (we bring our own books). It is typically on the quieter side which is nice for those looking for a quieter environment. - They are appointment-only, made by phone call. Sean's days off are Wednesdays and Sundays. Saturdays tend to book quickly, so try and call about 2 weeks in advance if you are looking for a weekend date. - We usually show a picture of a previous cut as a photo reference. Highlights: - Mr. Sean is respectful, willing to listen to to our son, and was also ok with him running around and exploring while I was getting my haircut (which is a huge plus for an already anxiety-ridden mom [a.k.a. me]; envision a toddler running around in circles and asking a ton of questions about the haircut). - There is a "treat jar" for kids with an assortment of sweets for a job well done :) (My son's primary focus of our visit)

Guisela's is not only a hair salon but a makeup studio. I'm all about one stop shop and I know I came to the right place. The Westin North Shore provided free shuttle services within a 5-mile radius and literally her salon was down the street. I was greeted by Guisela who was busily working with another client but didnt mind the wait. It was an intimate modern and clean salon. I was greeted by Vianey with her friendly demeanor. She asked me if I had any inspirational looks for today's transformation and sadly I didn't. I just told her I trusted her craft and to make me beautiful. It was my boyfriend's award not mine so don't make me look the center of attention but to blend in but with a sexy and classic look. She asked me what looks in the past I liked and disliked when getting my makeup done. I definately did not want to look pale like a ghost or loud. I believe Vianey is a magician and miracle worker all at the same time. I use to work in the entertainment industry so makeup and hair was a must but i changed careers a now work in a hospital setting so glamour was a secondary lifestyle to me. Getting glammed but by Vianey, I felt red-carpet ready for my closeup. She made me feel sexy and grown. Her talent and professionalism was next level. I only wish she was in California where I am from. From makeup to hair I felt glamourous. She even added a beautiful clip in my hair. I highly recommend any beauty service from her, her mom or glam team. I was with the best of the best. Her prices were very reasonable for her talent.
